  1. I saw Orton today. He was watching EJ win on the road.....contributing with a 72.7% completion percentage.....a 7.9 YPA.....and a QBR of 91.7.....and a rushing TD.
  2. I heard the term "we" used when referring to the Bears a bit earlier. Refs might be Bears fans too from the looks of things.
  3. Yeah, but having our #1 CB out in the game where we play against arguably the best WR corp for the season is a bit of a bummer.
  4. I nearly didn't click on this thread thinking "Sure....not just another EJ thread...pfft". But then I saw you as the thread starter and thought "Hang on, that can't be right.....maybe it isn't just another EJ thread." And now I have clicked.....it pretty much is just another EJ thread.....but it's different as well. I was actually tempted to start the same sort of thread the other day. It was just the other day that I recalled the Panthers game. That euphoria at the end of that game!!!! It was palpable. The buildup....and the relief that we not only didn't blow the game in typical heartbreaking Bills tradition....but that our young QB did it. He won the game for us! Things obviously haven't gone along the trajectory that we would have liked, but anyone who remembers how they felt at the end of that game has to be pumped for the Bears game. If EJ is gonna suck.....he'll suck....but I'm rooting for that Panthers game feeling until I'm shown otherwise. I am so pumped for this game! Go Bills!
  5. I will be posting my answers after the season finishes.
  6. What you do in the privacy of your own home is your business.....no need to put it on a public forum.
  7. They have a #2, #3 & #4 WR as well, I'm sure.
  8. Link?
  9. The Bills winning the Super Bowl.
  10. Maybe he was very happy(or at least content) with EJ's progression, but was extremely concerned with the regression of the 2 backups.......and his FO was not addressing the situation(getting a decent replacement backup). That would all make perfect sense as to why he didn't publically criticize EJ.....and more importantly why he progressively spoke more negatively about the backup QBs. Who knows.....maybe the big blowup was all about the fact that his FO was leaving him with dross as his backup QB.
  11. I never said otherwise.....in fact I actually said "...one can never blame the victim for being the target of a crime...".
  12. I am unsure of what you mean here. You seem to be implying that AS became somewhat better at KC....which isn't the case. He won 20.5 of his last 26 starts at SF. He had a 90.7 QBR in 2011 and 104.1 in 2012. At KC he had 89.1 QBR and won 11 of 15. It isn't like he was running in the mid 70's QBR(a la Orton's last 10 starts) and then took off with a new team.
  13. Damn.....I've got small feet.
  14. They're stupid?
  15. Australia. But it's only a 1 hour difference......it coincides with the US change making the total shift 2 hours.
  16. Ugg....this means 3am for me(until daylight savings hits, then is 5am). I much prefer the night games.
  17. I understand the point you are making, but selecting examples of rape and racism is somewhat diverting the point. We all know there are bad people that do bad things and we all do what we can to protect ourselves from them.....and limit the likelihood of becoming a victim. Though one can never blame the victim for being the target of a crime, one can certainly say that a victim was stupid/ignorant. It may be insensative to the victim's plight but it is sometimes the simple truth. Leaving valuables in full view in an unlocked car is stupid. Leaving your house unlocked and allowing the mail to pile up when you go away is stupid. Lending money to a known junkie is stupid. Walking alone down dark alleys at night in an area renound for muggings is stupid. Taking sex photos/film of yourself and storing it online is stupid....very stupid if you are a celebrity. Saying a victim was stupid is not justifying the criminals.....it is saying that sometimes one can avoid becoming a victim if one uses their brains. We teach our children not to talk to strangers for this exact reason.
  18. I agree. Seeing EJ struggle over the last few years has definitely shown that he will never become a good QB. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to start up my time machine and get back to my alternate future timeline.
  19. This is a bit like someone friending their ex lover on facebook and then listing off all of their flaws as to the reason why they broke up.
  20. I thought about adding that in but I am long winded enough to start with lol. In the big scheme of things their costs are somewhat negligible. Kolb did cost us $2M(from memory).....so that can be added to the equation. Jackson was with the team when Fitz was here(so same either way).....Lewis was for junk money(no dead cap hit after cut).....and Tuel earns under the 53rd contract(so it doesn't count towards the cap). If we include Kolb's $2M we are still better off at this point by around $3M......and if we retain Orton for the next 2 seasons at his high $5/year price, 2016 will have roughly an extra $13M to spend under the cap(than had we stuck with Fitz).
  21. You aren't wrong.....just not looking at the entire picture. The numbers you give here are correct, but are only for 2014. If you add in the 2013 numbers it starts to add up. In 2013, Fitz counted as a $3M dead cap hit. Had we not cut him his cap hit would have been about $10M. That is a $7M difference. The rollover cap rules mean that the extra $7M we had free under our cap last year due to cutting Fitz is directly added to the cap room we have this year......meaning that $2M saving you mentioned becomes a $5M loss($7M minus $2M). The same concept of salary savings rolling over would then apply to each future year. The Bills were between a rock and a hard place with regards to the Fitz contract. Due to the nature of the contract still being in the early stages, they needed Fitz to take a massive salary cut in order to justify him remaining on the roster. Even a $4M/year cut was leaving him counting as a $6M/year cost to the cap.....and the leaked Nix phone conversation made it clear that the Bills did not see Fitz as part of their long term plans. On Fitz's side, he already had his large(relatively speaking) signing bonus in the bank. It then becomes a question of whether he can make more money at another team....and potentially be a starter. I don't blame Fitz at all for not taking the salary cut and forcing the Bills hand(to cut him). The Fitz contract was a bad deciscion initially by the Bills. The best resolution(for the Bills and Fitz) was how things played out.
  22. He didn't say that EJ sucks(not in this thread anyway). He actually said what many of us were thinking. EJ's abilities are somewhat irrelevant to the ideas in the OP. I am an EJ supporter(I think he still has a reasonable chance to become a Franchise QB).....but I think the concept that the offense played as they did in the preseason purely to try to trick our week 1 opponent is a bit kooky.
  23. I'm always happy to explain things like the cap. I figure that individuals are not always here(on the forum) &/or miss the explanations. The only times I get annoyed with it is when I know a person has seen the explanations yet still insist on perpetuating certain myths.
