  1. I see your point on what is potentially implied by using the term "gave up".....but arguing the semantics is just counterproductive as it is obvious that they are not saying that three 1st round picks are used. Instead of becoming a discussion over the merits of the trade/pick, it became about what words are most approriate. I do understand more now how it elicited such emotional responses though.
  2. I don't understand why you guys are so hung up on something that is purely semantic.....and questionably semantic at that. You surely can't believe that people are saying that we used three first round picks to get him.....so what is the problem? Everyone knows we traded two firsts to get one in return. Arguing about whether one should say that we gave up 2 picks, or used 2 picks, or traded one pick is all rather petty......and in fact are all correct. We actually did give up two 1st round picks to get him(normally one gives up one 1st round pick to get a first rounder). We also used two 1st round picks to get him(normally one uses one 1st round pick to get a first rounder). We also traded one extra 1st round pick to get him. Sorry about my picking on this but the pointless semantic arguments on this were driving me batty post draft.....please don't make me relive it.
  3. Actually, during the off-season(prior to pre-season).....or perhaps it was before last season even finished, you persistently and emphatically stated that EJ would NEVER be a top 20 QB. I capitalised the word "never" because that is how you regularly wrote it. "EJ will NEVER be a top 20 QB!" ....as if you wanted to shout the word "never" at all of those saying that it was too early to draw conclusions. You posted the same thing so often that....guess what? It stuck in my craw......hence me bringing it back up now. It seems you are already backpedalling from your premature, forcefully dogmatic insulting crusade. Hopefully EJ continues to improve each week so you have to backpedal even faster.
  4. Bwahaha. Hahahehe. Titter heha. Hmmm.
  5. Three times in the 4th quarter...... When we were 13 pts up(to make it a difficult to beat 16 pt lead)....short pass, run, run. When we were 16 pts up(to force a 3 score lead)....run, run, run. When we were 16 pts up still(FG missed first time).....run, run, QB run Though a couple of the earlier red zone attempts were similarly conservative, there is some obvious logic for when it is late in the game and a FG will virtually clinch the victory, that one would wisely call plays that have the minimal chance of turning over the ball. I am quite surprised that you are arguing against this concept.
  6. Good enough today.
  7. I thought his first one was spot on as well.
  8. Oh no!!!! Our D is gonna be tired now.
  9. Hyperbole doesn't convey anything apart from emotional response. Try harder with some actual intelligent analytic comment rather than emotional garbage. How's that?
  10. Hyperbole much?
  11. Yeah......it's why I have a bunch of posters on ignore, just for game day internet feed delay.
  12. Really? We attempted a pass on first down there.
  13. Did I just enter some bizarro alternate universe?
  14. I always thought that Giselle was Brady's beard.
  15. Thanks for that.....I can relate to that sort of scream . I guess it was too difficult to tweet "Russ Brandon on the field after the game screaming at the top of his lung with elation." Understandably communication skills are not a high priority for reporters who tweet.
  16. Wtf?? How can one tweet this without giving some context? Was it an elation scream? Was he screaming in anger? ....at somebody? Was he saying words or simply screaming? I friggin hate twitter.
  17. I have no problem with concept of what Tampa Bob is saying. Just becsuse he is the only one on the board with those opinions, does not make them any more objectionable than the more common specious arguements trotted out about everything Bills(EJ, Hackett, Spiller, etc). Just put him on ignore and move on to being happy and pumped after our big win. I am fairly confident that FJ will make everyone forget that he has a detractor with his solid performances in the upcoming weeks.
  18. From your other posts I am assuming this is supposed to be sarcastic. I'd try to make the sarcasm a little clearer in future. The way that post reads I wouldn't be surprised if you got instant ignored from a bunch of posters here.
  19. I think McKelvin(like the rest of the team) took one drive to get into things. After that first drive, I thought McKelvin had a fairly solid game. What a magical way to start the season. This is a young team. The future suddenly looks quite bright.
  20. That crappy play calling is needed to set up the dynamic stuff. Give the OL some time to gel.....I think that crappy play calling will see some holes opening up within a few weeks(and won't look so crappy if that happens).
  21. He is in his 3rd season, which means he cannot be extended till next year.
  22. I'm pretty sure they chaged that rule a few years back. There is no longer that infinite goal line.
  23. I always thought the internet was a small intern. You learn something new every day.
  24. Robey!
