  1. That's a very un-PC way of describing a gay NFL player. I have had a difficult time over the years defending the masculinity of American Football to random manly men who follow Aussie Rules Football. Apart from the whole dressing up in colourful protective gear and having the QB start each non-shotgun play with his hands groping another man's bum.....the player positions lead to no end of humourous innuendos by those not used to the sport. Tackle....Defensive Tackle.....Slot Receiver....Wide receiver.....and of course the always hillarious Tight End. As the Aussie rules morons would say.....Gridiron is full of poofs.
  2. His actual cap hit is $16.58M in 2015. Easy to see why those massive rookie contracts got canned.
  3. Though I fully agree it is very unlikely to happen, I think that there would still be more chance of it happening than finding our QB of the future through FA/draft. I am not your typical "doomed" type fan but in this instance I just shake my head thinking "what a waste (of a great Defense)."
  4. What he does in the privacy of his own bedroom is not the concern of the fans IMO.
  5. Yeah, but Nix/Whaley should have hired some guys to predict what the future analytics department was going to predict about the QBs in 2013.
  6. You are absolutely right. I don't care one iota that Tom Brady is gay.
  7. Maybe, but doubtful. It depends upon Brown's performance.....unlikely that he has hit production levels. From wiki.... Buffalo → Philadelphia (PD). Buffalo traded their seventh-round selection in the 2014 draft (224th) to Philadelphia in exchange for running back Bryce Brown and Philadelphia's 2014 seventh-round selection (237th). The trade also included a conditional future selection to be received by Philadelphia which will either be this pick, which Buffalo may receive from San Francisco (depending on whether Stevie Johnson hits certain undisclosed statistical thresholds in 2014) or Buffalo's third- or fourth-round selection in 2016 (depending on Brown achieving undisclosed performance levels in 2014).
  8. Perhaps people are defining stupid as to be somebody who keeps making the same avoidable mistakes even though they are well informed of the consequences of those mistakes.
  9. No....we should get a 4th from the 49ers for SJ as well.
  10. I would like to think that Marrone has more awareness of which QBs are/were available than the average fan......therefore he knows that there have been no viable starting FA QBs in the past 2 seasons.....therefore wouldn't hold a grudge against Whaley for being unable to obtain a good starting QB. FA QBs available in 2013: (According to WalterFootball, Bills pretty much got highest rated FA QB in 2013 http://walterfootbal...gents2013QB.php ) Flacco (re-signed with Ravens) Tebow (Bad QB) Kolb (Injury Prone) Matt Moore (re-signed with Dolphins as backup) Fitz (Bills wanted out of $10M/year contract) Hasselbeck (Content to be backup in twilight of career) Hoyer (Bombed out of CLE) Stanton (Surprisingly showed himself to be decent backup in 2014) J.Mccown (Showing himself to be the guy you want to replace) Campbell, Garrard, Dixon, Jackson, Edwards, Batch, Grossman, Orlovsky, Skelton, Leftwich, Daniel, Quinn, Anderson, Leinart, Carr, Clements, Gradkowski, Thigpen, L.Mccown, Russell, J.Palmer, Hanie (All backups at best) This Rotoworld 2014 FA QB list puts some of those 2013 FA QBs into better perspective. 3 QBs were given $5M/year deals.....Vick on a 1 year deal, Mccown & Cassel on 2 year deals. (http://www.rotoworld...nfl-free-agents ) 1. Michael Vick (Signed one-year, $5M deal with NYJ) 2. Mark Sanchez (Signed one-year, $2.25M deal with PHI) 3. Josh McCown (Signed two-year, $10M deal with TB) 4. Matt Cassel (Re-signed two-year, $10M deal with MIN) 5. Josh Freeman (Signed one-year deal with NYG) 6. Shaun Hill (Signed one-year, $1.75M deal with STL) 7. Ryan Fitzpatrick (Signed two-year, $7.5M deal with HOU) 8. Jason Campbell (Signed one-year, $1.5M deal with CIN) 9. Chad Henne (Re-signed two-year, $8M deal with JAX) 10. Tarvaris Jackson (Re-signed one-year, $1.25M deal with SEA) 11. Kevin Kolb 12. Brandon Weeden (Signed two-year, $1.53M deal with DAL) 13. Colt McCoy (Signed one-year, $795K deal with WAS) 14. Matt Flynn (Re-signed one-year deal with GB) 15. Kellen Clemens (Signed two-year, $3M deal with SD) 16. Luke McCown (Re-signed one-year, $920K deal with NO) 17. Derek Anderson (Re-signed two-year, $2.564M deal with CAR) 18. David Garrard 19. Dan Orlovsky (Signed one-year, $920K deal with DET) 20. Rex Grossman 21. Curtis Painter (Re-signed one-year, $795K deal with NYG) 22. Charlie Whitehurst (Signed two-year, $4M deal with TEN) Like most years, 2013 & 2014 had zero decent starting calabre FA QBs available. In regards to 2013 drafted QBs......none ended as starters by the end of 2014. It is impossible to find a diamond in the rough if there are in fact no diamonds in the rough to be found.
  11. And even then I doubt the Rams would have made the trade had they not been shackled by massive contract to Bradford.
  12. Oh please, let me just spend an evening in the presence of a beautiful famous person.
  13. I don't think he played us. When you have millions in the bank, perhaps the rigors of being an NFL athlete are a bit too much hassle for some people.
  14. If Winston was worth the trade.....there would be no chance that a QB needy team such as TB would make the trade.
  15. It looks like this doesn't affect the Pats' cap situation at all. From the article: Brady's move helps the team because it will have more cash on hand to spend, though it's more of a cash flow issue than salary-cap relief. I thought the Pats were one of the richest teams. I'm surprised they need cash flow help. Perhaps they should have followed the vast majority of teams and gone with a cash-2-cap system (designed to help with cash flow problems).
  16. Unless things have changed, Bill stipulated that his life issues that are keeping him busy are not bad ones.....the opposite in fact. Assuming that I have remembered correctly......lucky bugger. I dream of happy life issues that can drag me away from this madhouse.
  17. Brandon Spikes Deonte Thomas Erik Pears
  18. No....Wynn, Charles & Mario have sacks. The Hughes one didn't count.
  19. Well.....the refs missed that obvious hold on the return.
  20. 4 and 5.....we have 3 so far.
  21. Bills season record I guess.
  22. Watch it again. Watkins moved out of bounds to catch the ball. Had the ball been on target he would have kept in bounds easily.
  23. .....and we're back to the Buffal Bills
