Saints possibly will take Hawk.
LB is a bigger need for them & they apparently love him.
Who knows what the Packers will do if this happens.....they have been locked in(in every Mock) to Hawk.
Cool, we're on the same page now....
Will obviously be happy campers with Ferguson.
What about if one of the QBs drop though?
That would become a much harder decision if we cannot organize a trade down.
Simliar to many....
I would take Ferguson, Bush, Hawk or Mario if available.
If not, Trade down to grab Bunkley & a 3rd(2nd?)
If no trade, I would take Davis or Huff if available.
If not, I would stamp my feet, spit the dummy & storm out.
I agree with your point but I think you should compare apples with apples.
Jerry Rice = best of all time
Ruben Brown = Very good(typically viewed as over-rated) non HOF player
perhaps to explain your point....
Emmit Smith or Larry Allen
Joe Montana or Bruce Smith
Jim Kelly or Orlando Pace
...unless you think Kelly = Hansen?
Unfortunately my one & only memory of Kelso(apart from the knob helmet) was....
Now I don't remember the team nor the year(probably 91 or 92) & keeping in mind I only got to see about 3 Bills matches a year(due to living in Australia) but....
Kelso was alone, 40 yards down field.
Receiver(with ball) running towards him.
Only open field & Kelso.
Receiver seems to slowly tilt left....
Then passes Kelso easily on the right...
30 yards(or so) later.
Touch Down.
Wow. That is all Ultra-cool. I would never have guessed that all bar 1 would send back the cards-signed.
Do you still do it?
Do you know if Ebay changed the way some of the players view autographing cards now?
I remember at the height of the mid-90s cards craze we had a few Eagles out here to Australia on a promo for the NFL.(Seth Joiner & ..um...I forget).
I was told they wouldn't sign stuff due to them having exclusive deals with a particular card company. Not fun.
I'm still amazed at your responses though Buftex. If you were a kid when you started that, it must have been an absolute buzz.
I understand the point of view, & it a commonly held one but I look at it this way...
If you want to win the Superbowl, you have to be the best.
If you are the best, it doesn't really matter if an opponent in your division is also good...you are the BEST.
In fact, good opposition could well keep your 'best' team playing at the peak needed to go through the playoffs & win the SB.
On the other hand, it is nice to get a few easy wins each year.
We're probably laughing either way.
If Cutler doesn't make it to #8, that would mean we will probably get one of the upper echelon picks...Hawk, D'Brick, Davis, Huff.
It's ALL GOOD
