Huh? If you disagree with someone, you can just as easily say... "I disagree, I think things are this way..." as say... "What are you talking about you MORON DUMBASS PARROT" Do you see the difference? This has nothing to do with Nance, this has to do with your disrespect of others opinions & your fervent belief on what makes a 'valid' opinion.
-
All those feather heads did was to question your strong opinions that you put across in an agressive & insulting manner. They did not attack you...just question your judgement. Honestly people, I've stopped reading at page 5. What's the point to all this? LD is obviously not thinking well at the moment. Why not give it a rest? He cannot see the forrest for the trees.

You're not suggesting that we had below average performance & production from our O Line are you? How could anyone suggest such a thing?

London really does seem like a class act. I don't know his background but his mum must have been a terrific woman to raise him so well singlehandedly. My heart goes out to him at this time.

Is JERRY SULLIVAN (reporter) related to Losman? His article is virtually glowing about him. I know we need one of our QBs to step up & therefore I want it to be happening but....Oh please let it be so. Linky: http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060...?tbd1037360.asp

Well there you go. I knew there was a good reason to post my gripe....I hadn't considered it was an intentional ironic misuse. You know, I have a feeling it won't bug me as much in future. Thanks!

Unless enough people mad the mistake the other way & TT should have won. Just a thought.

Look up in the sky...it's a bird....it's a plane....no it's.... MR. PEDANTIC Sorry everyone, but you know how some things just bug you? Well.... "could care less" is one of mine. the expression should be "couldn't care less" meaning he cares so little, he couldn't care less about it. Another pet hate is "tender hooks"......it is meant to be "tenterhooks". I know I am being silly/annoying/pedantic/ridiculous but....well...it bugs me. This is in no way personal against anyone & is in no way related to mister McGahee. Please feel free to pedantically pick me up on sayings I misuse that bug you.

What he said but with exclamation marks at the end. Tasker would have won Bills Survivor & until there is a Bills Survivor with Tasker in it, I view Jimbo wins by default. Go Tasker!!! Go Bills!

Bills trade Euhus to Saints for Courtney Watson
Dibs replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we do need more LBs(or leastwise need adding more potential). Most view Fletcher & Posey as having 1 last year with the Bills. I think we will re-sign Fletcher but who knows? Spikes is recovering from injury & is expected to make it back to full health. However if he doesn't, where does that leave us? At the end of this year, we could have... an old Fletcher(or simply gone)... an injured Spikes(ghost of former self)...old as well. an old Posey who is not a stud(though I feel is good enough) a young Crowell who most consider is decent enough but....can he raise his level to closer to Spikes level? Adding Watson makes sense in that he is young with a very large upside. He will not have any pressure on him to 'be the guy' and with good training in the right atmosphere, he might achieve close to his potential. If not, his cap numbers are not high & we don't lose much at all.(hell, we are so far under the cap now it wouldn't even be noticeable) Re: TEs Kevin Everett was a 3rd rounder last year. Obviously has potential & should & will retain a roster spot unless injury killed his career. Brad Cieslak has impressed & looks to be a part of the mix. Robert Royals was brought in to be the blocking TE... which means that Euhus(blocking TE) was expendable....also maybe the coaches don't like him. I think it was a simple move that Euhus was not part of our future so we trade him on a guy who has good potential(a gamble) that does not cost us much. A bit like bringing in Gibson for the OL. -
So who's next on the rail outta here?
Dibs replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would think that TV, Posey & especially Fletcher are all safe. All three are holdover starters who did not under-perform in anywhere near the same manner that Bennie did. TV, I would think, will provide immense experience to the younger players around him this year. He might well have lost a step but the guy was awesome in his day & surely knows one or two things the younger guys can learn. Posey, though never the sackmeister he was brought in to be, was not used in a manner conducive to his talents(& he still provided solid play). He might not make big plays but his performance is not typically detrimental to the team. Fletcher going next? Come on. Is anyone really seriously suggesting this? Maybe, & only just maybe, if there was a stud waiting in the wings to replace him but.... It is like TD has pervaded this thread. Why is the next name to go a BIG exciting name? Surely the next name(s) to go will be either some of the copious number of FAs that were brought in or the 3rd stringers those players replace.(not saying the FAs will be only 3rd string). I haven't looked at trimming to the 53 man roster but my first thought is... How many receivers do we need/have? At some point the WRs will have to be cut down. -
Good point. I was having fun for a bit there but now it all just seems a little sad.

I have never seen Nance play at all but if everyone I ever come across(including experts)(or you) tell me he is crap then I will form a 'qualified' opinion that he is crap. The key word is qualified....but still an 'opinion' The only people to give definitive opinions about Nance on this thread are you and KzooMike. Both of you have seen him first hand & as it happens, Kzoo qualified his statements by saying that he never said he thought Nance would be a star, just a possible decent role-player. Why do you bother telling us your views? If we take them on board as valid points we are just parroting. Similar....why do you bother reading others views? By your criteria, the only good opinion is one based on ones own physical observations. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I will make qualified opinions(parroting) based on all of the information I can get. Personally I would rather use others expert opinions in areas such as offensive line technique over my own because I am not knowledgeable enough to notice those intricacies when I watch a game. Oh...you must be kidding if you expect people to "attribute that opinion to the author" when they have garnered their opinion from many, many sources(including physical observation). In the end, if the opinion put forward is a well thought out, valid & realistic opinion, it does not matter where it originated from. A cynic might think that you were just using diversionary tactics in calling others parrots because you were losing your arguments. Not me though.

LOL

Good one dumb-ass birdbrain. Parroting the parrot sketch is the act of a parroter. Why don't you create your own parrot sketch? Then you can be considered a "guru" which other parrots can parrot.
-
no really or to quote another.....LMOA.....LOL!!!
-
Aaaah, of course. Ayn Rand eat your heart out. But what if I assess the football I watch & come up with a totally different opinion than someone else who watched the same football? What if I couldn't watch the football but am interested in aspects of said missed football game? Whom do I listen to? Who's voice do I trust? Do I just make myself not be interested for fear of becoming a parot? Oh, wow is me. I thought if I'd simply listen to LaDairis all would become clear.
-
Oh...I have had it all wrong. I didn't realize that LaDairis was a certified "guru". That was everybodies problem. Obviously we should consider a certified "gurus" opinion above those of non certified "gurus".

The I Miss Bennie Anderson Thread
Dibs replied to I Forgot My Last Username's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
MISS BENNIE ANDERSON!!!! How could you miss him. That would be impossible. The guy is so big that the only way you could miss him is if you were aiming in the total opposite direction. -
LOL!!! What that quote means is that Disease(if pressed) will take Big Bens opinion over your opinion. Are you saying that Big Ben did not have an "actual observation of Nance playing at Miami." Tell me that if Big Ben had said Nance was 'no good' you would not have taken that as a contribution to the topic.
-
tee hee, that was a funny was to finish. It's far easier on all to argue who was the better of two greats rather than our typical arguments over which Bill is not going to make it. I find I tend to veer towards the last good argument I read between the two. They are both legends & as a fan it is really hard to pick who I would kick off the Island. In the end I voted against Jim based on TT being my first favourite....no logic at all.
-
Um....where did you get your 'knowledge' that the Disease took Big Bens comment as 100% pure..... I've just re-read this thread & at no stage does Disease tip his hand over his thoughts on Nance(if any). Just because someone questions your credibility(probably due to your dogmatic nature on the subject) does not mean that they have an opposing(& dogmatic) view to you. To start with, all Disease was doing was what you yourself have been saying people should do. He was not going to blindly 'parrot' what you were saying, he was asking you if you had anything to back you up. Also(& the reason for my intrusion into your argument...apart from it's fun), it is 100% rude to be insulting to somebody who is asking a legitimate question relating to what you have said. As a general rule, as soon as you start to degenerate into name calling you start to lose credibility.
-
LaDarius finally says something about Nance: Does the fact that I am 'parroting' this quote mean I fully believe in what it is being said or perhaps it is an attempt at an addition to the conversation....a piece of news that is relevent to the topic. Hang on....I'm not allowed to mention this because it is just Parroting.

Thanks for all that Buftex. You've enlightened me into a piece of Bills history that others only intimated at. ..& thanks OnTheRocks. Bills Survivor has been a very entertaining diversion.
