  1. But, but, but.....Paris Hilton!!!
  2. I thought Vick had "it".......& was taken to court over giving "it" to some tart.
  3. On the surface, that is what I have been assuming too....however.... Against a Detroit OL that was devastated by injuries & was being plugged by no-name rookies & journeymen, our DEs managed to provide extremely little pressure on the QB.....which I believe has been one of the major complaints against our D. I'm starting to feel that even though the DEs might show up on occasion to show their upper potential, their standard level of play is perhaps in the below average levels. Lack of pass rush has been a constant complaint with this team since week 3.....even in the MIN game where we won, we nearly lost due to the total lack of pressure achieved.
  4. At this point, it sounds about right to me.....I'm still hoping for improvements (the first 4 games showed we are certainly better than the team that came out this week) but at this point..... bottom 10 is spot on.....we are not playing 'middle of the pack' good.
  5. Great, so you would agree that JP should cop no heat for the Davis drop. If, as JPL7 says, on Bills Daily review it says JP 'overthrew' the pass, those with 20-40+ years experience in such things would all agree that the article writer made an obvious error in the assessment on that play. I believe that basically that is the crux of what JPL7 was getting at......that YES JP made errors in the game but to blame everything that went wrong around him on him is not logical. IMO, just because you spend energy & effort or you have many years experience does not mean you are automatically correct.
  6. And that is IMO the real fear......not that the winless team all of a sudden tries harder.....that the team about to play them has trouble viewing them as a serious threat to fire up for.
  7. He's correct on the rule.
  8. No effing way. Nope. Not a chance.
  9. They don't switch sides.....Kitna is not throwing to Clements side much.
  10. They said he was a knob.....not that he was a bad WR.
  11. The Bears must have ripped it out last week.
  12. Yep, this is a lose-lose game. If we win it is as you said, "Just the Lions". If we lose we are a laughing stock(again). Mind you, if we lose we virtually deserve it.
  13. But then the Lions will also realize this & try to cover the pass better which will naturally open up our running game.....oooh it's so complex.
  14. That might be asking a bit too much.
  15. It does sound like a reasonable trade. Unless McFarland is on his last legs, this trade sound really good to me.
  16. A few points..... Mathematically the chance does not actually get any better each week. That can only happen if there is an absolute certainty of winning at least 1 game. I don't agree with the argument that their motivation heightens each week.....it may do, but it may also wane due to the disheartening effects of constant losing....i.e. a "what's the point?" attitude may creep into a lot of the players. In a similar vein.....an anecdote from the Australian Footy...... Several years back the coach of one of the worst teams at the time was being interviewed. Their next game was against one of the power teams of the day who the week before had had an uncharacteristic loss against a much weaker team. Reporter: "You must be worried.....they're coming off a loss." Implying that the power team would not let it happen two weeks in a row. Crap team coach: "They must be petrified.....we're coming off 6" Every game is tough.
  17. So you totally back his point then......possible, but very improbable.
  18. What on earth would give you the impression that this would be the case....not may be the case? The media beats up any story that they think will keep people focused on their media outlet. If the media stopped covering T.O., the story would no longer be cared about by the general public but it would still certainly be their. Would TO have pulled stunts like the 'pen in the sock' episode if he knew the media would not give him the attention he craves? Probably not. That does not mean that his actions & the problems he constantly causes wherever he goes would not still occur. He seems to crave the notoriety.....mooning the crowd, inciting a near riot in Dallas when he pranced on their logo, fighting with every coach & QB he has played with......etc, etc. Honestly, he comes across a first class knob....by his own choices, not by the media slant. The world is not black & white.....pretty much ever. Just because the media are generally unscrupulous & reprehensible does not mean that TO is himself not deserving of derision.
