  1. This would have to be the most outrageous(by far) thing I've ever seen you type. What happened? Usually you are so rational & thoughtful.
  2. Well, if we are looking at trends..... Travis Henry....1st 7 starts this season....averaged 101 ypg....and.....4.7ypc Travis Henry....next 4 starts this season(last 4 games)....averaged 61.3 ypg....and.....3.8ypc I'd say TH is a tad below average in the league right now.
  3. PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE.....The_Real has shown one & all how to eat crow with a little style & panache. Embrace it. You'll feel better for it afterwards. Come on now.....there is more than the dozen or so here who need to do a little crow eating. Where are you all? Great thread erynthered.
  4. Isn't that mead107's avatar?
  5. Personally I want Favre to play at least another year so he can take as many of Marino's records as possible.
  6. I would say it's a reflection more on the ability of VY to run as a QB. Lv-Bills spells it out above...post #9.
  7. IMO it's usually the great athletes with a "high motor" that become stars. Well done Schobel.
  8. I think this is spurious logic. I'm not saying that we have not drafted 1st round DBs at a higher rate than the norm.....nor am I saying that we have not failed. What I am saying is that it would impossible to prove a correlation to the two concepts. One could just as easily say...... "Drafting first & second round DLmen and making sure they don't walk to other teams is OK if it works, but it has failed, and miserably. Flowers, Schobel, Denney, Kelsay, and now McCargo." or....& you'll love this one.....it's within the same time frame..... "Drafting first round OLmen in the 1st round is OK if it works, but it has failed, and miserably. Fina, Brown, and Williams." I think the key point is that we have not built a strong team over the last decade. Success of a team simply cannot be determined by how one position is handled. On top of that, that was then.....this is now. I expect the decisions made to be based on what this team needs NOW without the spectre of history hanging over the decisions. If it is going to make sense(& Dawgg made some logical points) to draft(yet another) DB in the 1st, that is what I would expect us to do. To not do it because we have 'done it too many times before' would be detrimental to the team. I'm assuming (at this point) that drafting a DB in the 1st will not be the most logical thing for us to do.....but if we get a top FA OG, etc, etc, etc.....
  9. Really? Nobody actually complained about anybody being a bandwagon jumper. Quite the opposite. Jump on the bandwagon one and all!!!! Don't pretend you've been there for months when you haven't though.....that is galling.
  10. You know some of you guys here are the reason that people around the country mock Buffalo fans. I am a proud Bills fan, but I sure as hell dont have my head buried up my own butt pipe. I could argue, but I won't. I'll just keep on stating my opinion regardless of opposing argument. Please enough already........obviously not from me......I'm happy to again state my own opinion as if it was sooooo obviously the only one worth having. Any counter thoughts are obviously moronic & we should all just stop with this after I have had the last word. Guys, Reality check, puleeezeee
  11. Actually Woodson screwed Oakland when he did that. They offered him the deal which they fully expected him to not sign & work out a long term contract....or find a trading partner. Woodson signed the deal, which at the time was about $2-3mil higher than any multi-year(ave) he would have gotten....apparently to get the extra money....but....more so to screw with the Raiders. As someone pointed out though, the new CBA states a player cannot be tagged twice in a row now anyway. I wonder if that applies to all caps or just the same one two years in a row.
  12. You lose my interest and respect when instead of explaining how good Freeney is you attempt to irrationally besmirch Schobel. Here is a link from a week or two ago showing what you say to be a fallacy. Schobel does not have to be crap for Freeney to be a better player. Also.....and I'd think this concept might be a bit too difficult for you to grasp......Freeney does not have to have a better year, every year, to be considered the better player.
  13. Seeing that 100QBR there really spells out how good he has been playing of late. I am felling great about our future with JP.
  14. ....and titties.
  15. Nah....it's obvious what the situation is here. LARRY TRIPPLETT 02-05 with Tripplett at the Colts, Freeney gets sacks numbering 13, 11, 16, 11 06 without Tripplett at the Colts, Freeney has 5.5 sacks in 14 games(averages out to 6 sacks) 02-05 without Tripplett, Schobel gets sacks numbering 8.5, 11.5, 8, 12 06 with Tripplett, Schobel has 13.5 sacks in 14 games(averages out to 15.5 sacks) How underrated is Tripplett?
  16. Good call. I'd vote for Hank Williams "LONG GONE LONESOME BLUES" Magnificently depressing.
  17. Hey....I thought Starship Troopers had that whole tongue in cheek/not meant to be classy thing going for it.....i.e. a garbage movie that says "Hey I'm garbage, enjoy.".....I enjoyed it.
  18. Even if that is the case, this is how it will work if Nate does not want to remain in Buffalo. We non-exclusive franchise tag him. He gets a 1 year deal at 120% of this years deal...which I believe will be $8.66mil. The following season he will be in a similar possition again($10.4mil).......and again($12.48mil) the following season......and again($14.97mil) the season after that. If Nate wants to leave there is little we can do except either over-pay on a long term contract(enticing him to stay with $$$) or keep over-paying him each year on 1 year deals. He's a good player but that's the equivilent to a 4 year $46.5mil deal....or over $11.5mil a season. At best I see us screwing with him like that for 1 more season.
  19. I think you're spot on there. Rivers had a much better 1st half than JP. That doesn't mean that JP(when factoring individual situations/surrounding talent etc) has not been the better performer in the second half, simply that Rivers overall has had the better season. I tend to think that even had JP been on the Chargers, he would still have needed to take his lumps & learn the 'pro' game....even with their weapons & line. Put him there now & I think he would be absolutely awesome.
  20. This is the only logical reason I can think of also.....personally I don't like how..... A) Voting starts at about week 2 B) The last 3-4 weeks of the season become irrelevant(big finishers get ignored) and weeks 8-13 become overly important(when most voting is done). ....and like the Oscars....I always B word & moan about it all but still enjoy bitching and moaning about it all.
  21. You're joking with me now....aren't you?
  22. ..... ..... ..... ..... I'M EXCITED!!!! ..... ..... ..... .....
  23. quietly....just between you and me....only....and I mean only see the movie if you don't plan on using any part of your brain during the process. It was absolutely pathetic. This rating is 2.5 too high IMO.
  24. Miami is 8th in ypg against the run and 4th in ypc.
