  1. I would have thought higher than that.....makes me wonder what a 'normal' LT would get(under the KTFABD rating system). I don't suppose Kelly wants to analyse a few more games of OTs
  2. I quite like the 5 of 27 3rd down conversions myself
  3. McNally retired at the end of last season.
  4. I really really like Trent Edwards. OMG......we've got a QB!!!!!!
  5. TE with a QBR 121.53
  6. Disturbing in that sooooo many people react to things without using their brains. With the internet it takes very little time to confirm or investigate information......and isn't difficult.
  7. I personally found that very interesting. Thanks for the linky
  8. Pre-season I was surprised at how good the media was in their analysis of him. Considering that he did not perform great as a rookie, didn't play the entire season & had some of his worst outings towards the end of the season it was very pleasant/interesting to see that a majority of analysts had him as a legit starter. After week 1 I'm not surprised at all that the media isn't 'talking' about him. It was our shining ST & D that stood out last week. Had TE won the game for us....or the O lit up the scoreboard then obviously he would be a focus of media attention. Any love for Lynch? Any love for Lee? The solid OL? Royal had a big day.....any love for him? IMO most of the media like TE.....they really do. They will start talking about him more as he achieves more for them to talk about.
  9. Kind of interesting. Perhaps he does still check down too quickly in 3rd & 5+ too much.....but of his 30 passes attempted 6 were of 21 yards or longer....4 of which were completed for 127yards & a TD. 1 in 5 pass attempts was long.....and overall the deep passing game was very successful on the day. Dink and dunk?
  10. I think they do know what they are doing but the spread isn't their opinion of what the difference is between two teams.....it is their opinion of what a majority of gamblers believe the difference is. They want an equal amount of betting on both teams. If they had the Jags as 2 pt favourites or worst yet the Bills as favourites they would get every man and his dog backing the Jags with only few(knowledgeable fans & Bills fans) backing Buffalo. *edit* What eball said above
  11. Cool, a ghost with his hands in his pockets......maybe he's cold?
  12. Wow.....so many great minds born on the same day Sincerest Happy B'day to all of you.
  13. Which is really cool.....The Ultimate line of Marvel comics used Sam Jackson as the model for Fury(both physical & personality). For the modern Nick Fury it doesn't effect the character at all. It is only if they decide(stupidly) to link him back to his Sgt. Fury days in WWII that it would make no sense.
  14. I think people will definitely want to throw away the weight of modern day cynicism and escape into a time where there was a distinctive good & evil in the world. Where a true hero of the day who epitomizes what 'should' be stands as a beacon of light in a time where evil threatens to conquer the world. A bit poetic.....but the movie could be escapism at its best. 'Propaganda tool to sell nationalism' can soooo easily be put across as 'Symbol of hope for the people'.
  15. Exactly right. The character of CA is much like marvels version of Superman. He is hero to the nation epitomizing the American ideals of truth, justice etc, etc. CA was set up by the government to be a morale boost for the nation to focus on.....he even wears the flag as his costume. For those times a black character simply does not fit. Even the army during WWII had segregated units not allowing the black & white soldiers into the same groups.
  16. Ahem......probowl.......considered by most analysts to be in the top 3 at his position. Decent season as a pass-blocker Not very good at run-blocking(technically speaking probably correct......he is most likely simply good at run-blocking).
  17. I care quite a bit. If they made CA black then they would have to totally re-do the history of the character. At this point the movie is looking to be mainly set in WWII. There is no way they could have a character who is perceived as an iconic American hero set during that time period who is black.
  18. At this point I wouldn't be so concerned. There has been only two and a half games of bad weather that TE has played in(IIRC). The 2 full games were horrendous conditions(CLE & NYG) where all QBs played very poorly. TE actually played better than Manning. Add to that the concept that TE was still a rookie & I see no reason to think that ordinary bad weather would effect him that much. The first half this week? There would be good reason to think that it took him a little while to generally warm up, shake off the rust & get over first game jitters. It's not like it was terrible conditions......just raining. 18 of 24 in the second half would suggest that either he has some sort of allergic reaction to rain.....or as I said, he needed to get into rhythm. If he continues to play bad in the rain in future then I would think there may be an issue but at this point it seems a tad panicky to think that his abilities go out of the windows at the first sign of rain.
  19. You are one grumpy fan. Both our QBs suck..... You've made it clear that Poz is not going to be any good.....How Did Our Future Hall of Famer Paul Poz Play?, Only asking Nicely And you don't like anyone on our D-Line....D-line bash I'm glad that your oppinions are going to be shown to be so very, very wrong this year. Go Bills!!!
  20. Hee hee....good one
  21. They felt real to me
