  1. Seems like it would be easier if it were more then one word. Isn't blue collar two words? Here are some words basically what the Bills mean to me: Pride Talking Proud "corny I know" My favorite - obsession Addiction Escape Connection Passion Attachment Unite Now get an A and while your at it keep the Bills in Buffalo, or worst case move them to Charleston, SC so I can get season tickets, just kidding please don't flame me.
  2. I thought the same thing. Actually I'm really surprised he answered that question. He seems to have the Tiger, Jordan interview saavy of not saying anything that would alienate anyone. I remember reading somewhere someone asked Jordan with his power why he doesn't take more of a stance on topics or something along those lines. His response was Republicans wear Nikes too.
  3. I don't want to come off as arrogant but man I'm finding a way to watch the Bills every week and I'm in Iraq. Not saying you aren't able to watch the Bills but there are options to watch what ever game you want. I know the NFL Sunday ticket is expensive but don't miss out on the Bills this year. This is going to be a special year. We will be talking about 2008 for years to come. If you don't want to fork out the dough for Directv tell the wife you are heading to Lowe's and stop at the local sports bar. Also, people post the illegal feeds to the games each week to watch over the net. Worst case listen over the net. Unless you have something like a wedding, funeral or something else going on there really is no excuse. Some people have 1000's of posts on this boeard and then miss games. I guess what I am saying is don't miss the Bills this year. This is the beginning of something special, mark my words. Sorry I'll get off my soapbox now.
  4. I'm not much for interviews but these clips are worth watching. Very candid talking about the Bills chances this year. They are just regular Joe's like us talking about the Bills chances this year much like we do. Check them out. http://watch.tsn.ca/off-the-record/#clip94844 http://watch.tsn.ca/off-the-record/#clip94857 http://watch.tsn.ca/off-the-record/#clip94858 http://watch.tsn.ca/off-the-record/#clip94845
  5. I know what you are saying. There is something very special about this team. They should only get better and better as they gain more expeerience. The thing about this team versus the team of the early 90's is that the star players appear to be more mature. Besides Lynch doing that hit and run they all seem to really be leaders. I loved that team but there were some misfits. Kelly with his excessive drinking. Bruce with his cocaine, Thurman telling kids he screwed their mother the night before. Many other issues that might have stopped them from reaching their potential. I am very excited about this team. Hell I never bet and I put money on them as a long shot to win it all before the season started. So far they have impressed me.
  6. Like he said. Almost a three score comeback, but it wasn't it was a two score comeback. Which means they had to score two times to comeback. What part didn't you understand? I have another question for anyone. Why do people have to be negative to be be considered realistic? Can someone be positive and still be realistic? I realistically think the Bills have a shot of going very deep in the playoffs. I would be very shocked if they didn't make the playoffs. Trent is getting better each week.
  7. I was very wrong about Youbouty. I really thought the light was not going to come on with him. Boy was I wrong. He looks like a beast out there. I'm glad he turned it on this camp or he might be doing this for another team right now.
  8. I think everyone was on that boat. To say you weren't is silly. Or you want to keep everyone on the team.
  9. Why wasn't SB one of the choices?
  10. Not at all. I'll take one or two SB's versus three.
  11. I agree with your post. but..... The nice thing about being a fan much like all of us is that we can think ahead. I'm pretty sure if I think about the Cards game or even way ahead to the Patriots game it will have no impact on the outcome. I like to believe that I have an impact on the outcomes of the games but I don't. Looking at the way the Bills are playing and reading the original post I have to say I agree. Many factors can change that as we are all well aware of. I think it is wise for us Bills fans to be cautious due to recent history. We are conditioned to expect failure being a Bills fan, hell being a Buffalo sports fan. Part of the fun of being a fan is over inflating your team. I always think the Bills will be better then they end up. So that is why I am now thinking they will win the next 3 SB's.
  12. Grounding my ass. The reason they are both 0-2 is the Bills beat them. Both teams had injuries I'll admit. So the Seahwaks should have beat the 49ers as you said, that would make their only loss to the Bills. They beat two playoff teams of a year ago. The thing about the Bills unlike the other teams in the AFC East is that they are only going to get better as the season progresses. They are very young playing a new offense. That is barring any injuries. Maybe many of us expect them to fail like they have so often in recent history. The opposite can be said when they went from being good to bad. I used to think when they were down by 14 in the 4th they had a chance to come back. I was still living in the past. This team is looking good and only going up from here. As friendly as I can say it "quit living in the past". The sky is the limit for this current team.
  13. It worked. Do you think it was a bad play call?
  14. He's right. I remember people saying if they draft a WR, draft a short one. Why would we want a tall one? I don't remember about twenty million posts mentioning a tall WR at all. If you do a search and type in midget you will find all those people he is talking about.
  15. We really don't know that he is not in games shape. I would venture to say that he probably is in better shape then any the other OL on the team. I'm guessing unless he is sucking wind he plays the whole game. They tend not to rotate OL unless he just stinks the joint up. Many players are injured thoughout the preseason and play the whole first game they are healthy. Many things can and have been said about Peters but he is an exceptional athlete, especailly for an OL.
  16. I'm not really responding to just your post. The video is the best quality I have seen from any video I've downloaded. I had all the right software to watch it with out downloading anything. I would have though. Sounds like one person is very crabby. How is is that they can post a million posts to here with links and everything else but can't figure out how to download a video? No offense to anyone here but I would rather watch that video then read about it here or anywhere else on the web. I got one thing for bills_red. Don't watch the frigging video, read about it from fans and the media. Maybe someone could burn it on dvd and load it for you so you don't have to get out of your lazy boy. What is this new fangled thing where people put a card in a machine and press some buttons and get money out? I just don't trust the darn thing.
  17. Great post. Probably because I agree with exactly what your saying. I remember walking out of the Jax game last year thinking JP will never be our starter again. Not unless of an injury of course. I was so high on him and I do hope he does well somewhere.
  18. I'm thinking the team that wins most of their games will go to the playoffs. I haven't looked it up on the internet but I'm pretty sure from memory that is how it works.
  19. I agree with that. I really don't think it matters where you played even a year ago. I have been in Iraq since the start of the year. It took time to get used to the weather. You can always tell the new guys because they are winded and sweat a lot more from just walking to get food. I know when it started getting hot here (120's) it was hard to just do normal activities. Now I can run several miles in it. That being said the Iraqi's and terrorists were used to the heat and we still kicked their a$$. The better team finds a way to adapt and win even on the road, and I believe with the Bills improving and the Jags getting worse, due to injuries, they should win this game.
  20. As much as I like to think I have an impact on the outcome of the Bills games I realized something, I don't. I'm pretty sure I can think about the Seahawks victory right up until kickoff and it will have no impact on the game. Better yet if I wasn't in Iraq I probably would drink atleast a 12 pack and the outcome would still be the same. That being said I have to go and do some film work on the Jags.
  21. It's not even close to the same thing. Speaking of classy nice Avatar.
  22. I don't claim to be an expert on the subject, but playing LT can't be the most mentally challenging job on the team. Block this way, block that way, pull this way, just keep the guy in front of you from getting past you. We all know he has the physical tools already. He'll be fine as long as he is healthy.
  23. I would think that Lynch would be on everyone's list. As much as I like Evans, Lynch is easily a top 10 RB in the league. Evans has shown that he is a top 20 WR. He can be taken out of a game and the Bills still win. I believe Lynch can dominate a game on a regular basis. I think Evans has dominated a few games but he isn't up there with the best WR's in the league. I hope we don't have to talk about any of these injuries. I'm hoping we had all our serious injuries last year and we can remain relatively healthy.
  24. I got Evans very late. You really don't know what kind of numbers he will put up. I think he could have a big year but I am not going to pick players early because I have a hunch. To me when I picked him he was the best available WR at that point according to last year's numbers. I look at him as a good value pick with possible upside since his numbers should be up this year. I picked up Lynch with the 11th pick and feel very good about that pick. He should be a top 5 RB this year.
  25. Maybe I've got my Bills goggles on, but I see the Bills beating the Hawks quite soundly. I really always think the Bills will win though. As pointed out by another post the Seahawks play in the worst division in football. With all the injuries and suspensions they are worse at the start of this year then they were last year. If you don't see us beating a team missing all these players, finishing 10-6 against soft opponents, in our house, then do you see us beating anyone. It's go time. If the Bills play to their level and lose to a short-handed, overrated team like this then they are much further from being a playoff contender then I realized. Now go kick some ass!
