oh the wonderful world of ESPN analysis...

I forgot about that. -
That would make us 11-5, I hope that is good enough for the playoffs. I think with all the injuries on the Seahawks we should beat them. They have been in the playoffs every year forever but look at their division. I don't think they are that good. This game could say alot about what to expect from the Bills this year. I really, really want to see them have long drives ending with TD's. Watching them in the preseason was encouraging but now it counts.

You brought up a great memory. I remember the picture of him laying there with the fog around him. If I remember correctly it was Bruce and the Biscuit that both sacked him. -

I think Farve's career will end very similar to Montana's. He will be very mediocre and really not improve his new team. -
Well, it's finally here and it's Game Week.

I'll be here in beautiful Baghdad, Iraq. I'll be working during the game. I'll catch it later on TiVo, via the internet, using my SlingBox. You have to love technology. I am very pumped for this year. I think the Bills will make some noise. It sure would be nice if Peters joins the team at some point. -
Scout.com says Peters may be back monday
bills7834 replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mickey, I think every Bills fan wants Peters to play for the Bills. Will you admit that he is a complete idiot for not talking to the team? How in the hell do you work on a new contract when you don't talk to anyone. How will this ever get resolved? He is the one that wants a new contract, we are assuming, even though we have not heard that. Why would he not talk to the Bills? I really think you are so dillusional that it has clouded your judgement. Then I read you signature and I realized you only believe what you want. -

I have one question. Do you think he is one of the most underpaid OT'S in the league? -
It won't help you tonight but I am currently in Iraq and sent a Slingbox to my Mother's house in Buffalo. Mine cost less then $100 and I can watch her TV from anywhere I have an internet connection. I could even watch it from a cell phone. I'm sure if I did that here I would spend as much as it would cost me to buy a ticket to the Super Bowl. Sounds like a commercial huh?

We swept the Jets and Phins last year. While the Jets were a pretty weak team the Fish were horrible. Almost the first team to go winless. So the suck a$$ Jets give their QB to the even more suck a$$ Phins and now they are a threat. I'm not following your logic here. While I like Farve he is old. I think as someone mentioned earlier, is going to have a similar end to his career as Montana did. Maybe not as good because the Chiefs were a better team.

I'm currently in Iraq and there was a tour consisting of Drew Brees, Osi Umemyiora and Roger Goodell. I did my quick photo shots with the players and did I mention Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders! I then quickly turned my attention to the Mr. Goodell. I talked to him for about 5 minutes. I have heard everything he has said in public about the Bills future, but I wanted to talk to him face to face about it. I wanted to see his reaction to see if he is just blowing smoke. He seemed very sincere that he will do everything in his power to keep the Bills in Buffalo. He mentioned the Toronto issue and how that will help the Bills stay. I then asked him about Marshawn Lynch. I felt a little guilty thinking that maybe he had forgotten about it. He gave the answer I thought he would. It was that the league is looking into it.

I'm not sure if it was just rumor, but didn't he text the Head of Security for the Bills shortly after the incident. If so this young lady is going to have a huuuuge payday. They will have him lying to the court. I'm sure the cops already came to his house or his lawyer is an idiot.

we all want trent to be good, but....
bills7834 replied to BuckyFillUps's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really supported JP but he had his chance. IF what you said above is the norm for Trent this coming year then we have two lousy QB's. I did see some quick decisions from him that I thought was very encouraging for a young green QB. I am not really sure why fans decide to hate 1 Qb if they favor the other. I don't ahte jp but I don't think he has what it takes to make it in the NFL. With all that athletic ability, how many huge games did he have. Last year a made a road trip to the Jax game and before the game I thought this is his chance to sink or swim. He was horrible in that game. If he can't handle the pressure in a regular season game with his career on the line then I don't want him on my team. I don't know if Trent is the answer but he did show alot of promise and he appears to be the only answer on the team. I could be wrong, I did support Rob Johnson for way to long. -
I am currently at an undisclosed base in Iraq for a year. The dining facility has a room called the NFL room with tv's and two small posters of Brady, and the the Cowboys. I decided to write each NFL team and ask them for donations. The Bills were one of the first to write back to say they were sending merchandise to hang up. I didn't let them know that I was a huge Bills fan either. The very first team to respond were.....The Texans. That didn't suprise me being from that part of the country. Anyway, I was pretty excited to see the Bills Organization reply back and take action.

The Bills are getting better IMO. Each off season post TD they have addressed the weaknesses of the previous year. While I was disappointed after last years FA and draft that we did not address the DT's weakness I still am confident in the front office. There were many holes to fill and many of them were. The FO will address the WR,TE,CB shortages as well as adding value picks at other areas that need depth. Will they make the playoffs this year? God, I hope so, but my guess is as good as anyone's. Has every move been perfect, no, but I am very confident that this team is improving each year. When I hear them talk about needs and areas that need improvement I realize they are on the right track. Under TD the draft was a complete crapshoot and the glaring weaknesses were ignored or addressed with free agents that were out of football for a year. I am fairly excited about the FA moves this offseason. I am like all of us on this board very anxious to see how the draft works out. If everything works out we will have a great and I mean a team that goes deep into the playoffs next year. Lets hope for a reversal of luck on the injury front for this season.

Great Article on the Lost Art of the Pass Rush
bills7834 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schobel going in to last year was second in sacks while he was in the NFL to Jason Taylor. That said I always think that great performers in all walks of life always try to improve. I look at him as a more talented Phil Hansen. If Phil had the skillset of Aaron he would have been a beast. I will be interested to see what the sack output is this year after adding a couple of quality DT's. -
Heck, how about hitting Roscoe with a quick slant pass? How about hitting any of our small quick WR's with a quick slant where they can use their speed? How about 5-10 screen passes to Lynch a game? How about passing on first down? Mainly, I think it would be crazy but it sure would be worth a try to run an offense that maybe surprised the opposing teams defense.

On my way to Iraq for a year. I'll catch up next season for the beer chugging.

After reading that it is an old tradition on the board as disturbing as it is I apologize. To me starting a thread with nothing to do remotely with the Bills or football in general didn't make much sense. I guess this is one of those quirky traditions of the board that somehow I have not experienced.

Can I ask what the hell this or any of the posts have to do with the Bills? People are blasted for bringing up football related topics that have been discussed until everyone begins to feel the vurp mouth watering sensation. This is dumb. Surfing the internet for the gayest looking freek and then thinking wow I should post a link to that to TSW.

Bears DE Idonije signs offer sheet with Bills
bills7834 replied to Spanky46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He gets the $1.8 million signing bonus wth the Bears if they decide to match the offer. Buffalo doesn't pay it if they match.
