  1. What I don't get is all the work we did to get a pass catching RB, including drafting Cook ... but then never used it

    safety

Yeah, but once we got past Hamlin, the rest of our depth safeties are horrible. I think we draft 2 OL, WR, S, LB with our top 5 picks. Pick six ... give me BPA
  3. I would love to double dip at WR, but we only have 6 picks currently (barring trades) and we NEED to double up at OL. That leaves 3 more picks and I would like a S & LB ... leaving one more pick for Best Player Available
  4. We have 6 picks (barring trades). I would like to see us walk away with: WR/OL the first two picks. After that, in Rounds 3-5: Another OL LB Safety Best Player Available in the 6th. For the O-Line, I'd like to see one inside and one tackle Good to know our 5th rounder is Arizona's, so it's 3rd in the 5th round.
  5. on that one Hell ... this kid golfs better than me
  6. No. We have $625K in dead cap this year for the failed OJ Howard. Upgrade WR instead
  7. Maybe I wasn't clear here, but I know he is guaranteed and would need to be traded. There should be teams interested in trading for him. I like what you've got. The only change is I would keep Beasley or Crowder on a one year deal to whoever will take the lowest amount on a 1-year contract
  8. I trust our defense when the game is on the line slightly less than day old gas station sushi during a mid-august power failure in Arizona
  9. Over the last few years, we have invested heavily on the D-Line and it's not paying off, meanwhile the lack for talent on O-Line and WR has continued to suffer. They need to change their approach to D and in that change, I say get rid of Oliver and use the cap room elsewhere
  10. I'm optimistic we can make it to the divisional round of the play-offs. No too optimistic beyond that.
  11. Another thing I would be in full alignment with the coaching staff on personnel. We brought in players to play the slot and did not use them. We invested heavily in pass catching RBs and didn't use them. After all the resources we've invested on D-line the continued failure of that position has to be considered a failure of coaching and/or playcalling
  12. Trade Oliver for cap space. Cut Siran Neal to save 2.8 mil. Top 2 picks at WR and OT. Another WR and 2 safeties later in the draft. Resign Crowder or Beasley for 1 year vet minimum Resign Phillips and Lawson. Try to resign Edmunds if the money is right. Replace Frasier. Add Frank Reich as passing coordinator/ asst HC. Add Greg Roman as run game coordinator
  13. I sent ELI a bag of his favorite snacks
  14. It's the money though. I think we're better off getting what we can for him and spend the money elsewhere. You took the words right out of my mouth
  15. I completely agree ... those are all needs. I'm beating the WR drum because so much beacuse many of the posts I see focus primarily on O-Line & RB and "we can find WR help anywhere"
  16. Josh can use his feet to get away from the rush. He has no targets outside of Knox and Diggs who can get open and catch a ball. We need WR help
  17. Okay ... let's go all in on Barkley so Dorsey can give him 7 carries a game while we chuck the ball 50 yards downfield to Stefon Diggs and a bunch of undrafted free agents. Believe me, I want to have an effective running game ... but big money on Barkley is not the answer. I'd rather bring in Greg Roman as run game coordinator and draft a 4th round RB to go with Cook and Singletary (who we probably can resign cheap)
  18. I was going to say that I think McDermott is good enough, but after seeing this, I've changed my mind: Top 5 takeaways from Bills HC Sean McDermott's season-ending press conference (buffalobills.com). I don't see any self-reflection that leads me to believe he is going to make significant changes. Sounds like more of the same old excuses. 1. How the Bengals loss forces the Bills to look in the mirror "Unfortunately, we didn't we didn't play a very good game yesterday and a good team beat us," McDermott said. Poor Execution "It starts and ends at the line of scrimmage, and so we've got to look at that," McDermott acknowledged. We need more Defensive Linemen "We won't stop until we get there," McDermott said. "And that's the vision moving forward, and we're all frustrated on a day after loss in the division round, that's for sure. Extremely proud of how far this organization has come, but not satisfied." Do more of the same 3. Evaluating Ken Dorsey's first season as Bills OC Statistically, the Bills offensive ranked atop several important categories this season. They finished second in points per game (28.4), second in total yards per game (397.6), fourth in first down percentage (36.9) and ninth in red zone TD scoring (60%). "There's a first year for everyone. And I thought Dorsey really did some good things, and there's some things that he can learn from as well. And I know this: when you're committed to a cause, and you work hard at things, and you put the team first, that you learn from experiences. And so, like all of us, we have to learn from the experience," he said. Offense is good, just need to tweak it and learn from mistakes 4. McDermott praises Tremaine Edmunds' season "I thought he had his best year," McDermott said. "I really believe that I think you saw him grow from a leadership standpoint. You saw him grow from a performance standpoint. And I know he's just got that attitude that he wants to continue to improve." We need to keep him at any cost 5. New season, new potential positions for players With a handful of available options to slot in at different positions throughout the secondary, the head coach was asked about possibly moving CB Christian Benford to safety next year. McDermott said that will be talked about in the evaluation process starting on Tuesday. "That's been talked about way back when we first picked up Christian and we'll just see where it goes," McDermott said. No intention of keeping Poyer Another name that was mentioned surrounding the question of moving positions was OT Spencer Brown. After assessing Brown's performance this season, McDermott was asked if the OT could be moved inside and he responded with, "we'll see." "I don't think anything's off the table at this point," McDermott said. "He's a young player and he's very athletic. That being said, you would like to get a young player in one position and let them go and let them grow. You know, in terms of development." Forget getting better players, we'll just reshuffle what we have
  19. If you have the cap room and have a need at DT, there is enough there with him for an organization to think that they could get more out of him. As a GM, I would offer a 3rd round pick, but go as high as a 2.
  20. Ful disclosure ... I once did believe some of those conspiracy. But then again ... I once believed in Santa Claus and our current coaching staff .... so yeah ...
  21. Correct. Fully guaranteed. We need to find a trade partner
