  1. Just remember it's a lot easier to look comfortable in the pocket without Peppers, Rucker, Jenkins and such in the game. Don't overhype JPs performance, this is exactly why Jauron let KH start the game. JP starting would have been disaster and he would have looked no better than Holcomb. He's setting JP Up to improve and gain confidence over the preseason.
  2. Didn't KH have like, the first 300 yard passing game by a Bills QB in 3 years? 300..18..same.
  3. Um, Fairchild already said he's not using the Rams offense...
  4. KH didnt throw for nearly 500 yards for Cleveland in in one game by checking down every play. You don't -NEED- a cannon to throw the deep ball. Montana to Rice, think about it.
  5. A pick at the end of the first round to replace a guy with severe fumble and character problems isn't so bad. Compare it to taking BMW #4 overall, for example.
  6. I don't think it's fair to be comparing Willis to OJ or Thurman yet...let the guy have a few more seasons.
  7. Travis was terrible. Anyone remember the horror of watching him try and run in the red zone or on 3rd and short in that year when Willis showed up and nearly saved our season by reminding us what iw as like to score a rushing TD? The one thing about Bills fans is they seem to have such fond memories of the past and such jaded views on the present and future. Willis will be fine, the kid is a workhorse and spent last season behind the worst offensive line in the history of the franchise. When LT averaged under 4 YPC for san diego 2 years ago I don't remember anyone saying he sucked. If you look beyond stats and watch Willis run vs watch TH run, there's no comparison, TH is an average if not bad NFL running back. He's not even mentioned in the mix in Tennessee anymore, and for good reason. Everyone is claiming it's Chris Brown as the speedy slashers, and LenDale as the bus - Travis is the odd one out. Heck, if Travis could have managed to not fall over his own feet in clutch yardage situations that last year with Drew, we WOULD have made the playoffs. He blew two games right at the end by tripping on himself.
  8. He didn't declare himself the league's best. He believes he is the best. There's a difference. Every RB that takes the field should believe they have it in them to be the best in the NFL. I don't know, I don't really want RBs going out there thinking they are "average". He believes he's the best, you need that confidence to be a star imho.
  9. I think the only offense Benny Anderson stopped from scoring this year was ours... he's an OG not a DT right? UNless you're suggesting we move him?
  10. LOL, I hear ya. That's why I put it in quotes though, to show it's an expression I don't necessarily agree with but use because it's commonly accepted terminology. =p
  11. I don't see why you guys are ragging on BJ. QB is about more than arm strength, track speed and so on. It's about leading men in to "battle". JP Losman has always had questionmarks regarding leadership/character after coming out of Tulane (scouts mentioned him as being cocky), and then the Mewelde Moore comments came out, and then last season the team refused to play for him. I think JP has the tools, but whether or not he becomes a NFL QB will depend on if he can find a way to make the team believe in him. Holcomb, with far less talent and ability, was able to get the team to follow him and you could see the played for him. That said, JP is still young. He's got learning to do. Not everyone is born a leader, some people have to learn to do it, and it's not an easy thing to learn. IF he gets it, he could be a great QB. If he doesn't, he's Ryan Leaf 2.0. The sad thing is, most young QBs don't get the opportunity to LEARN to be leaders. Ryan Leaf got thrown in there, messed it up, and got tossed from the NFL. You don't know, if that kid had a chance to develop and grow behind the scenes he might have been able to harness his talent.
  12. The guy can't even write properly, he shouldn't have a column.
  13. I'd be all over that draft.
  14. He's a good run blocker, much better player than Bennie Anderson imho.
  15. Leinart's knees won't hold up in Buffalo behind our O-line. If we were to draft a QB it would have to be Cutler or Vince Young, those two guys would be at least capable of surviving a season, maybe, in this city. I'm especially intrigued with Cutler, since he's used to carrying a team with tons of holes to wins against teams that are way better.
  16. I know DT isn't a "sexy" draft position, but imho adding that sort of talent at a young age to our trenches is the way to go. So much better than finding old rental players like some of you are suggesting.
  17. Ngata will make some people eat their words, imho. The guy is dominating, an incredible athlete for his size - anyone that says otherwise hasn't seen any Oregon games.
  18. LOL hey bro, yeah I finally got sick of the forums on buffalobills.com those people are insane.
  19. I've been a big Powers-Neal fan for a while, I think he'll translate in to a solid FB in the NFL.
  20. I love Derting I'd be so happy if we got him day 2.
  21. Vincent had some nice plays in coverage, but Nate and McGee are definite playmakers even if Nate didn't have a stellar year.
  22. Yeah Royal as the blocking TE and Everett as the receiving TE I'd assume is our projected setup.
  23. Blue ran a 4.4 at his pro day and his football speed is actually very good. I saw the 4.7 speed also on a lot of sites, the 4.4 did surprise me. I'll take a look at Smith as well thanks for the heads up on that.
