didnt everyone here say vince young sucks? from what I can see VY and JP are both doing incredibly well, and for VY to be doing this as a true 1st year QB with no lee evans to throw to is even more amazing.

Here's a question: Why would Willis want to play for fans like you? The fans here would have been trashing Ladanian Tomlinson if he were a Bill the season he only averaged 3.8 YPC. As far as I'm concerned Buffalo is quickly becoming undeserving of having a NFL team. Fairweather fans that predict a super bowl after every win and Brady Quinn after every loss. Sure, the ownership sucks. The line might suck, maybe you're right and Willis sucks. But you know what, the fans suck, too. I'm sorry but this is a medicore team, with a decent RB and a QB that will probably top out at slightly above average. This is not really a surprise that we're headed for probably a 7-9 season. This team is going nowhere right now. Except, maybe, to another city. Maybe you guys should stop acting like you're PMSing every Sunday and at least enjoy what time you have left with the franchise. But hey, at least you're all back on the Sabres bandwagon. For now.

Can't you just bump this freaking thread every time Willis doesnt reach 100 yards instead of creating a new one where people say the exact same things? I swear this is the most bloody wishy washy fan base I've seen. Losman is awesome, Losman is terrible, Willis is awesome, Willis is terrible. The Chargers interior on D vs our interior is a big time mismatch, if you expected abig rushing day you need to seriously re-examine your football knowledge.

Please. We all know there was no danger of Willis losing his starting job to the A Train. As much as the fans here would like to think there was some sort of RB contreversy or something, I never heard a peep from the coaching staff to suggest that. Willis played because he's a tougher S.O.B. than anyone on this forum.

I think we should bend Sacto's knee backwards and snap all his ligaments so he can rehab that injury and see first hand just how lazy Willis is.

I said *if* they went with a QB. I didn't make a claim either way whether or not they should have. I don't want it to be about that. I just want people to stop talking about Leinart as the only option we had.

This is the kid I thought we *should* have taken *if* we decided to go with a QB. NOT Leinart. He absolutely wowed me in a couple games I watched of his, especially a win over Tennessee. How the hell do you beat Tennessee with VANDERBILT. It was amazing to watch. The kid is all heart. Rumours are that he'll be starting next week after Jake screws up again in KC this week. Apparently they weren't comfortable giving a rook the reigns on a 4 day week going in to KC, one of the toughest stadiums in the league - but they've got 10 days off after that, and that's when they plan to unveil him. Keep an eye out, I think he'll be the best in the class.

You guys always freak out when JP throws 2-3 good passes in a game. Calm down. We're a long way from finding out if this guy is going to make it in the NFL or not. The only bright spots in his career so far have been seam plays to Lee Evans. He needs to show more than that 1 throw in his arsenal to make it.

The way he's treated by fans here, I sort of hope McGahee goes to the Jets or something, and dominates Buffalo for years to come.

When Willis does well vs badly ranked run defenses, people say it's because the run D was bad. When A-Train runs for 100 on one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, it's because he has "heart" and "runs hard every play." Make up your freaking minds people.

Drew is a decent guy I have no ill-will towards him and don't see the need to continue bashing him. He's been gone for a while now, let it go.

Uh, i'm, not denying that. It was a great playcall and a great run by McGahee, but really, if people are talking about how many passing yards JP pass, half of them came off a shovel pass. He's only had 1 decent downfield throw.

JP is taking steps backwards every week. And don't overrate his passing yards, remember he got 56 off a freaking shovel pass.

Now there's some perspective. You're even more of a newb here than I am. Give it a rest. Willis busted a couple huge runs over his career that came back with penalties. He had a 60+ yarder in the preseason. The guy has it to be a top 5 NFL back. Our line is a terrible run blocking line. They don't have the power to move the pile or create proper holes. Willis gets his yards the hard way, every game. Not to mention, his blitz pickups have been amazing since he whiffed that one. And no one was harder on Willis after whiffing that big blitz pickup than he was on himself. The guy stood up and took responsibility in the media for !@#$ing up.

Well, I admit. I was a JP hater. I'd written him off. I thought the kid would never make it as a NFL Quarterback. I rambled on about how he reminded me of a Ryan Leaf, a Tim Couch, and I made fun of his high-pitched interview voice and messed up Yoda comments. But I did always say I hoped JP would prove me wrong. And I also said I'd come out and apologize for slamming him harder than brett farve behind the green bay offensive line if he ever did show himself to be a NFL calibre QB. Well, JP, you've done it. I'm a believer. And man, does life ever feel better when you've got a little faith in the QB leading your team. GO BILLS. (ps, hopefully some guys do the same thing regarding their comments about Willis after his heroics today).

Blocking is more than strength, and a small, quick guy coming with a full head of steam can be a lot more difficult to block than a lineman plodding along...

We could win the superbowl and some people would still find something to complain about.
