He's crazy if he doesn't think Aussie rules footy is more reckless than NFL football though.

The 2007 Pre-Draft starting lineup
makbeer replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These numbers all seem inflated. -
Of course the new RB has the advantage of running behind the 75 million dollars of O-line the Bills front office just spent. Considering A-Train's CAREER HIGH is 1,100 yards, though, we BETTER find an upgrade over him. The guy is mediocre in all regards. I'll wager this though - McGahee will outgain Thomas this year. Anyone willing to take that bet?

NFL Live just murdered the Bills offseason moves

Finally, some realistic expectations are starting to set in. -
I LOVE the way Peterson plays the game but that's exactly what's scary about him...he's completely reckless...could be a catastrophic injury waiting to happen
-
I forgot about Jackson...I think he could be real strong. Pittman, Irons, Jackson are my 3 picks. Don't like Hunt...he lacks that "burst" to me. He can move fast consistently, but doesn't seem to be able to instantly explode out of a gap like the others.
-
I don't like how Walker runs...he goes out of bounds a lot to avoid hits and I 'm scared about Bush's leg - not to mention for a big guy, Bush seems to go down pretty easy and tries to dance around tacklers he could easily plow over. Irons or Pittman would make me a happy camper.

I think its gold caps like Edge has. -

Here's an example of his mannerisms - though the CONTENT of what he says is mostly good (similar to Willis when he was still in school)- his mannerisms are very "willis." http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=c...&id=4491055 And then there's this display after winning a game... That said, I don't believe the rumours about legal troubles...it seems like the restraining order was dropped and the assault case was dropped as well. -

If you guys can't handle Willis' personality you won't be able to handle Lynch. Same type of guy, and just as bad with the media. If marv makes the pick knowing what happened with Willis here he's more senile than I thought. This has got to be posturing to confuse other GMs. -
Their statements by nature are subjective...and as I said, you didn't show or prove anything. They are being as subjective as the people bashing Willis based on rumour/hearsay. Which is the majority. That said, of that group, I think given his history as a successful team building GM, Ozzie Newsome is more believable than <insert random Bills fan that thinks he's a NFL expert because he posts on the internet and watches games on TV here>.

Obviously D, because it's fact. That said, I can also go and pull a ton of subjective quotes and put them next to a fact in the reverse sentiment and pose the same question to you, leaving you no choice but to vote for D. Clearly you don't get the 'fact' that by picking subjective comments and sticking them next to a factual statement, you are doing nothing but showing that a factual statement beats a subjective one. This is not exactly a revelation. Do the same poll, either with all subjective statements or all factual ones (just to make sure you get it - factual meaning proven by statistic), and then we can start to discuss the content of the quotes, not just the fact vs subjectivity of them. Cheers.

The Willis trade made it all clear
makbeer replied to oregonbbfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like I said - how can you call someone clearly far tougher than you a kitty? You can call him a mediocre back, I don't care, but obviously the guy isn't a kitty. Have you ever broke a rib? Pussies don't play NFL games with broken ribs. Wanna call someone a kitty? That's an insult that should be aimed at the Vince Carters of the world, not the Willis McGahees. Stupid? Sure. Promiscuous? Ok. Unproductive? Fine. Selfish? Go ahead. -

And you're still crying about him. By my book, that means you = kitty. See how easy it is to throw that sort of accusation around? The thing is, I know McGahee has played in the NFL. I don't care who you are, you can't be a kitty and play RB in the NFL. You, on the other hand, throw around words like "kitty" on the internet. I think, choosing between you and Willis, I'd put more money on you being a kitty. Sorry, that's just how I see it. And that's not an insult, I know Willis is tougher than I am. That knee injury would have kicked my ass and I'm not afraid to admit it. -
That's probably the longest post I've ever seen that failed to prove anything. Congratulations.

Alright, let's break one of your ribs, suit you up, then have you play a NFL game. IF you don't hit the holes hard we get to call you a kitty. Or, let's destroy your knee then watch you try and rehab it. I bet you would probably never walk again let alone play NFL football again. !@#$ing morons on here sometimes I swear. Call McGahee an idiot, or even overrated, or an !@#$ - but the guy obviously isn't a kitty. -
Yes, I'm sure Ozzie Newsome traded for McGahee based on what rosenhaus was saying. He probably didn't look at tape at all. Christ people, use your heads, not your overly sensitive hearts. Just because he said some stupid things and there are some RUMOURS about playbook crap doesn't mean the guy can't succeed given the right situation.

too small crowell at MLB (Another london fletcher, makes tons of tackles sure...6 yards past the LOS), ellison tiny at WLB...a shell of his former self Spikes at SLB...Ouch. They need a MLB so they can move Crowell back to WLB and use Ellison as depth..the guy is ok as depth but I'm not comfortable with him as a starting LB.
-
I don't think Willis got a good shake to show his ABILITY here. That said, the real irony is in that Jamal Lewis left Baltimore to CLEVELAND because he didn't feel the line there was good enough. So, did Willis just go from bad...to...bad? I like Willis as a player, I think he's got great talent and I'm upset that we didn't get to watch him run behind our new line...I'm also upset that I don't think he's got much of a line in Baltimore and we're going to watch a promising, young, talented player fizzle out because he's not the brightest and he's got a retard as an agent.
-
If A-Train is the starting RB next season...well...ouch.
-
Everyone that missed the point of this post just lost the right to rant about Willis' IQ.
-
We need 2 LBs and at least 2 people on the DL...I don't see a ton of free agents and we only have 1 first round pick...mnaybe we can draft another McCargo (lol)
-
So we go out and get a RB with an early round pick that should have been used to shore up our horrible DL/LB positions...now what? We can run (Maybe - high draft picks aren't certain top notch runners...*cough* J.J. Arrington *cough*) the ball, but teams will still destroy us up the gut. I still hate the idea of taking a team with plenty of holes to fill, and creating NEW holes.
-
Which Bills, exactly, are going to knock the "giggles" out of him? Our fearsome front 7 probably couldn't knock the giggles out of most highschool Rbs. If we don't have enough room to shore up our DL/LB core because we now have to find a starting RB somewhere, we're screwed...
-
Hate to be the bearer of bad news here..but look at our D line and our LBs...I don't think any amount of "bulletin board material" is going to help us shut down Willis unless we fix those problems. Ironically, now that we have a GAPING hole at RB, filling those holes just got a lot harder. Good job geniuses, on a team full of holes we go create another.
