Even if Collinsworth liked the Bills, he would come off looking like a douche. -
Bills Haters In The Media
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marshall does pick on the Bills often. Also Jamie Dukes laid into Bills about the Peters trade on how awful a deal that was for them. Then during the draft every pick he was flabbergasted that it wasnt a left tackle. It made me upset about the picks because to me one had nothing to do with the other. If you want to bash the trade thats fine, if you want to bash the picks thats fine, however to bash the picks because of the trade I thought was idiotic to say the least. -
Bills Haters In The Media

We always focus on the Bills haters but he get plenty of love from people as well. We have Jaws, Berman, Carruci, and Jaws, but last but not least dont forget about Jaws. -
Bills Haters In The Media
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have actually seen Rod stick up for WNY, and how he always thought this was on of the toughest places to play in the Bills hayday because the fans could get loud. I have also seen him talk about how Kelly, and Elway where the toughest QBs to play against. I have seen him praise other things about the team and city plenty of times. Now he is a call it like he sees it type of gut so if you ask him about the current team you may not like his answer, but that is his view and he gets paid to have them. -
How on earth can you say that Montana and Brady are system QBs while giving as much credit as you do to Warren Moon. Moon played in the Run and Shoot if ever there was a system QB it was Moon. Basically I would have to say Montana and Elway are pretty even in the best ever debate. Young spent alot of his career backing up Montana in San Fran prior to that he did nothing for the Bucs, and if you say Montana is a system QB then you have to say that about Young because he played in the same system. I agree with you about Aikman. I guess when it comes down to it you got to count the rings which gives Montana and Brady(as much as I hate to say it) a slight edge over Elway and Young.

Lofton-in the Hall of Fame Reed-probably make the hall of fame Beebe-way better then any slot reciever on this team Tasker-would have been a starting WR for any coach except Levy who valued him more on Special Teams Our current WR will have maybe 1 Hall of famer in Owens-He has good stats but the committee looks at the era the stats where accumulated in and have been known to pass on certain players for saying stupid things like Ricky Waters for saying "For who, for what" Evans-is the best deep threat this team had since lofton but Lofton had over 1000 yds recieving in 91 plus over 18 yds per catch- Evans has never had that high a Yards per catch Comparing Reed to Beebe is just silly as Reed gets his catches because of lack of options, where Beebe got his catches despite all the options-also Beebe had over 15 yards per catch career avg-Reeds is barely over 11 Heck Thurman had 61 catches that year, did anyone on this team have that many catches last year let alone the RB even our Backup RB Davis had 20 catches McKellar had 44 catches I understand your argument about Kelly and Edwards but that recieving core was probably a top ten ever in the league, we are hoping this years Recievers could be top ten in the league this year. While you could make the argument that Loftons best years where behind him, the same can be said about Owens, and nobody on this squad is Andre Reed as that man was money every time the ball was near him he grabbed it.

The 91 Offense had 3 people currently in the Hall of Fame with Kelly, Thomas, and Lofton. Also potential hall of famer in Reed, and O-Lineman that had been to the probowl in Wolford, Ritcher, and Hull. Also dependable playmaking TE in McKellar and a outstanding do everything TE in Metzalaars. The current offense has a WR that has made some probowls in Owens, and then alot of question marks.

Bruce Smith and Maybin
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to nuklz2594's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bruce was a good technician, but his first step had everything to do with the mans game. There was alot of times he was in the backfield and you could have sworn he was offside, but he just made everyone else look like they where standing still. Oh the memories http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gte5RPziaIU -
Cards Release OLB Travis LaBoy
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to GripnRip's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember the year he was drafted by the Titans, they had three 2nd round draft picks and everybody said how good they did in the draft for getting Ben Troupe, Antwaan Odom, and Laboy. Laboy would be a good DE in our scheme I believes he plays LB for the Cards but is a better 4-3 DE-probably a little better then Kelsay but dont think he would be a huge upgrade. I believe if memory serves me correctly he played college ball in Hawaii, then Tenesee, followed by Arizona so the cold weather may be an issue for him. -
Will they make the team? (2/2)
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Coach55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
John Parella was a second round pick, cut the year after he was drafted(partly due to depression issues, and partly because some rookie free agent named Pat Williams tore it up) then went on to a pretty good career with SD. -
Rams GM on acquiring LT's
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Although I really wanted Orakpo instead of Maybin, I will give the FO the benefit of the doubt. Atleast they took a DE. I however loved the rest of the picks, especially getting two roadgrader type O-lineman that can beat on Wolfork. Finally the Bills address the big uglies up-front. -
Defensive Backs...before the draft...
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the frustration comes out of the last four years the bills have had 35 picks- 12 have been for DB's. It is a little disproportionate to the teams needs. I do not care as much this year do to the fact they actually used good picks to address the lines, which in years past they have not. -
How good is Maybin?
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Orakpo is on the board and the Bills do anything less then having Russ, Dick, and Ralph skipping while holding hands up to the commisioner with Orakpo's name on the card it will reaffirm my no-confidence in this front office policy. -
Dominic Rhodes' contract details
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to VOR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hi I am Bill Bellicheat, have you met my former players Lawyer Milloy, Deion Branch, David Patten, and Ty Law. -
I like Cushing only if Orakpo, Ayers, and Curry are off the board he seems like the next best fit. I would rather both first picks go to the front seven, but if they went Loadholt at 28 I wouldnt hate it, not as a left tackle but right tackle or gaurd(albeit a very large gaurd.)

In my house where on one side of the room I will have beer, on the other a noose. So I will either be drunk or hanging Russ Brandon, either way it should be a good time.

final NFL network MOCK DRAFT
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what I hate about the day before the draft. With all these guys falling and climbing I am getting my hopes up we could get Orakpo and Malleluga. However we will end up with Maybin and Britton, Oh I am overwhelmed with joy. -
