  1. The Titans have said all aong they have been interested in a QB. When they signed the Pats reciever they told him they where going to look at QB with the first pick in the draft. They want Lienert because Norm Chow the offensive cord. was Lienerts coordinater in college. It comes down to if they can trade with houston before the Jets, the Jets have multiple picks in the first round of the draft, so Titans will have to pony up. The Saints will get Bush at number two and Young will go to the Titans if they stay put and Jets get Lienert. The Jets will take Cutler if the Titans get Lienert, the Texans will take D'Brick at 3-4 overall depending who they trade with. The Pack will take Hawk, the Raiders Mario Williams, San Fran will take V. Davis, the Bills will either trade down or take Justice because if they dont take Justice at 8 they wont get him because the Lions would take the remaining QB or Justice with the Cards picking tenth would take whatever the Lions dont.
  2. I was stationed at Ft Hood texas for five years. The good strip clubs are in Austin not Houston
  3. Isnt he employed by the Bills now
  4. Congrats, good luck, and we will keep you and yours in our prayers.
  5. When your 5-11 and haven't made the playoffs in 6 years everyone is welcome to leave. Good luck Eric dont let the door hit you on the way out. When your as bad as the Bills losing someone cant make you worse(when your at rock bottom), and you know what they say, you cant suck and blow at the same time.
  6. OK I agree about maybe I should have said Hovan was good not great. However I like McFarland outside Marcus Stroud I think he may be the best DT in game today. He was good enough for them to wave goodbye to Sapp who although is declining is still a force. Besides those guys I think Buckner (also ancient) and Strouds linemate Henderson are what you look for in premiere DT. Of course the list could go on, the best up and comer is probably Tommie Harris.
  7. Adams best years was with Cortez Kennedy, Tony Siragusa, and Pat Williams next to him. You always play better with better players next to you. Hovan did not play well with Kevin Williams next to him, then Hovan lined up with McFarland and he was great again.
  8. Everything starts upfront. O-Line makes everything else work. New England does not have great recievers, they have(or Had maybe more like it now) 3-4 good recievers. Alexander tore the record book apart because Hutchinson and Jones, more then aanything else. John Fox fixed the D-Line and O-Line before anything else when he took over the Panthers(Peppers, and Gross) While having playmakers is important I still believe you have to get lineman to make things work.
  9. I have a twelve year old step son, who has alot of video games. I get sucked into playing them after I watch him play them(they are addicting). However he asked for my credit card the other day to pre order a game off line. I asked to see what he wanted to get and even though I am in my mid thirtees I really find myself looking forward to him(er ya him) getting this game. The game is called NFL Headcoach and is made by the same people that make the Madden game. Just was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this game, and also thought I would post something that didnt have Losman, Moulds, or Levy in it.
  10. While I like Vic and think that the rumor is false, I do not believe the cap enters in to it. The Bills will be 14 million under the cap after they trade Moulds, and I do not see 14 million worth of free agents coming in this year. If you where sure that Losman was a bust(I do not think you can be sure of that yet) now would be the time to get rid oh him so you save the money next year and have more money to shop with in what hopes to be a better free agent crop.
  11. Trade down with the Cards and take Winston Justice
  12. Rich Gannon was cut multiple times and became a SuperBowl and proBowl QB. OJ did nothing his first two years. Bruce was overwieght and underperformed his first couple. Moulds was getting booed out of town until year four I think. Flutie was cut right out of the NFL for half a dozen years, Jim Kelly publicly humiliated Ballard his first 3-4 years. Speaking of Kelly remember Polians rant about Marv stills the coach Kelly is still the QB, and if you dont like it get out of town.
  13. Dont throw a one yard pass on fourth and seven
  14. I would love Justice, i am sick of a decade of terrible O-line play. I do not know how well are QBs are going to look, it shure would be nice to eliminate the excuses then see if they can cut the mustard. If Losman sucks this year and we have a descent O-line then I will know it is time to go somewhere else. I dont care about what the Gurus are saying either, I think Levi Jones is a perfect example of that. However if Marv is sold on Justice and he can trade down get extra picks and still get Justice that would be amazing, I still think our best trade partner would be Arizona at 10(I believe) we could probably net an extra 3rd and still get Justice. As for the DTs that fit that sceme niether McFarland or Hovan in Tampa are huge DTs (they let Sapp walk a few years ago) and Tampas defense is good, there is more then one way to skin a cat. If having to big space eaters was the only answer then all these teams wouldnt be switching to a 3-4.
  15. "What the Hell is Brett Favre doing here"
  16. Totally agree about building through the draft for the long haul. Everyone says you can get better overnight with free agency, but I think it is more the teams ahead of you getting worse because they lose players through free agency. Teams that draft well and keep the core of the team intact(by spending money on there own free agents) stay good for while. Like New England and Philly, while both have added some pieces through free agency and trades(NE-Dillion and Colvin Philly Kears and TO) they both draft very well and have players ready to step in when others go down. Both teams where good for about 5 years and could potentially be good again this year.
  17. I feel that Linebackers are often a product of the system. Joey Porter had a big year this year, but Pittsburgh always has a linebacker having a big year (levon Kirkland, Chad Brown, Kevin Greene). When we played a 3-4 we always had Linebackers with killer stats(Bennett, Talley, Paup). I love TKO he is my favorite Bill, but I think Reality is that the DT make a 4-3 linebacker, while the DE makes a 3-4 backer. While they should consider drafting a LB, you can get by on athletic linebackers who can run. Ray Lewis had his biggest years when Sam Adams, and Tony Siragusa where in front of him. Urlacher had his best years when Ted Washington and (the DT from KC and Denver cant remember his name) where in front of him. Obviously if it is a truly gifted LB like Seau who I feel was great no matter what then you go get him, but on a team with this many needs the difference in quality(especially this year with the depth at linebacker in the draft) between a third and fifth round linebacker is far less then a 3rd and fifth round O-Lineman. I feel the same way about RBs as well. I would never draft a RB in the first round when so many Quality backs can be had latter in the draft. This is just my opinion and understand that exceptions to the rule exist and others may disagree but it is just my thoughts.
  18. Vanderjagt wasnt the only kicker with the Colts last year, he shared duty with a kickoff specialist
  19. I married into a Greek family so I am forced into liking Smerlas. All joking aside he was a great player both before and after the snap.
  20. All thats left at the Buffet is an old piece of brown lettuce, old crutons, and a little bit of french dressing(burp)
  21. I think Drew as at the point in his life where winning the Big Game is important. His future in the Hall of Fame is depending on him as a starting QB in a superbowl, his only win came when he is on the bench watching Brady become a hero in a city where WAS Superman. I think with his career winding down he should think of win at all cost, he already got his jack(and say what you want he has done more then enough pilanthropy to be thought of as a "stand up guy"). I for one am glad TO is not here, but for the Cowboys I think it makes sense, he gives them a playmaker that could put them over the top.
  22. Joe Gibbs won with Mark Rypien, and Jay Schrader(sp?). If he thinks Ramsey cant do what those two could do then I dont want him.
  23. I have put this in a few other places, but Ill post it again here. Do you honestly think GMs around the league use this board as the letter of the law. If Cutler drops to number 8 with us, and lets just say that the Lions at 9 and Cards at 10 both want Cutler. If the Broncos want Cutler they will have to pony up and pay for him,(forget Moulds he is worth a 3rd or 4th rounder at best). The Broncos picks at 15 and 22 is all they could offer because dropping down with either the Lions or Cards would only be one or two spots if they tossed in just a third rounder it would be worth more then the 15 of the first and 29th pick of the second round. The chart may or may not be used as a guidline(or it could be a good sales ploy to make people feel more involved in a pickem contest), but if you want someone you go get him. Just as if the Bills want to trade down and get Ferguson they probably would have to pay more then the chart would say because he is a valuable commodity. Let me brake it down this way, if I go up to Canada and the exchange rate is 88 cents for each dollar, and I meet a guy at the border who has ten dollars and is offering to sell it to me for 9 U.S., I then have to decide how much time is the extra 20 cents worth to me, how long is the line, if I wait in said line is the line for customs going to get longer. The same with Football the Broncos would have to decide if they would like to wait to get the QB of the Future, or pony up and get him now.
  24. Ok Pennington restructured and instead of making 12 million this year he gets a 3 million , and the another 6 million in PLAYING TIME bonus's. So dont call it a paycut if you want, but it leaves the Jets safe if he doesnt come back from his injury.
