  1. Bigger than I thought. No, mom died in '99 There is already a trust set up. I'm just curious if the US is going to ding me when I try to take this money out of the country.
  2. Paradise for one may not be paradise for another. Do I personally think I live in Paradise? Hell ya! There has not been a single day in the year and a half since moving here that my wife and I haven't spoken about how great it is here. As far as my previous Auckland post... check this out... New Zealand has about 4 millions people. 75% of them live in the North Island. Over 50% of those people live in Auckland! I live on the Top of the South Island where there are amazing golden beaches at my front-doorstep and the Southern Alps on my back-doorstep. Golden Bay is on my west and the Marlborough Sounds on my East. The entire top o' the South has about 80,000 people (60,000 here in the Nelson area) and you need to travel over 6 hours to get to any city. (Christchurch) So, if you're like me and like to be away from mass crowds, traffic, pollution... and enjoy, sea kayaking, fishing, hiking, mtn biking, camping... Nelson IS paradise. Add to that that it's also a world class wine region, the most sunshine hours in NZ (but still with 4 distinct seasons) and almost zero crime I feel like I've died and gone to heaven. There are other paradises in the world too... it just depends what you're looking for. I just happened to have found mine. For those who haven't seen my little slideshow... click below.
  3. Although I wouldn't ever live in Auckland... I really won't compare it to NYC. It kinda reminds me of a smaller, sunny Seattle.
  4. Hey guys. Wondering if some of you tax guys could help me out or point to where I could find some information. I'm a US citizen living overseas and have been told to get my "ducks in a row" about finding information regarding sending inheritance to me. (My father is not doing well. ) Anyway... apart from the standard inheritance tax that will be taken in the US... will there be any additional taxes when I have the money wired to me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Go Bills
  5. Ahh... a response from the deep south of America and their love affair with anal pleasure. (Many times with family members, eh?) I'll pass.
  6. G'Day, I'm thinking about getting a sea-kayaking/paddling themed tattoo but am having a helluva time finding any ideas or examples. Just wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction. Cheers!
  7. Hey I certainly thing I'm capable of starting. I've got a really high motor.
  8. Plus, he's a former Colorado State Ram! (alum here.)
  9. No kidding. With our new bulked up O-Line... I waiting, no make that PRAYING to see that sweet stiff-arm and power-running that Willis used a couple years ago. Heck, he showed flashes of domination out on the field. It would be really stupid to trade him for beans.
  10. Welcome to The Stadium Wall and thank you for a rational post. Pay no attention to some of the grumpy fans on this site. It's late winter and many of these guys haven't seen a sunny day or a patch of green grass in a loooooooong time. (In fact, I vowed many years ago to never call friends/family back in WNY during late Feb/early March. It's just not worth it.) As far as Walker goes... I'll have faith in how the Bills management assessed Walker and see how he pans out. Thanks for the post.
  11. It's about $NZ1.47/litre down here. That's about $US 3.85 a gallon. Quit yer bitching... drive less.
  12. I once ran into Alice Cooper in the Portland airport. That mans skin was dishwater grey. Holy Cow, talk about a nightmare. oh yeah... football, focus on football...
  13. What f'ing ever. I've been there for the Bills my entire life. If these kind of guys just want to play for the big bucks, well then f 'em. I learned my lesson way back when on a different deffensive back called Nate. Nate Odomes that is. Heck, he was one of my favorite players from the glory days, but decided to go to Seattle for bigger dough. Does anyone remember what happened to him after he left here? I could give a rats ass for Mr Nate Clements if he leaves. If he stays, thats another story. Its a cheeseball thing to say, but I root for the name (logo) on the front of the jersey not the name on the back. Its this kinda sheet that makes it harder and harder to be a fan of American sports.
  14. Hey now... I did my time growing up in upstate NY too.
  15. Snow? What snow? There isn't any snow around here, Mate! In fact the car is already packed, the beer is on ice and the sea kayak is ready. We're heading out for another camping trip across the bay as soon as I leave work this afternoon. Abel Tasman National Park to be exact. Here's a slideshow that I made of our Father and Son trip that we took last month in the same spot... think summer!
  16. easy now, mate. No reason to insult all of the ganja smokers out there!
  17. No I think he's talking about the one saying that you should eat at least 6 to 8 avacodos a day because they're so versatile.
  18. Oh come on... have you forgotten the Dolphins shutout already?? Go Bills!
  19. Me too! (graduated in '87)
  20. Hey... I was born and raised outside of Rochester... I did "my time" in the dark and dreary winter weather up there... I deserve golden sand beaches..
  21. Hey guys! Good morning and Merry Christmas from New Zealand! It's Christmas morning down here... (9:25)... the kids just opened up all of their gifts... had a squirt-gun fight with my son.... listening to Bills game on the computer, while the wife is packing up the cooler for the beach! Go Bills!
  22. The Taliban is growing the kind bud? I thought they grow Poppies for Heroine. (I better have a talk to my source...)
  23. I'll take it if you don't want it!
  24. This is his low point?? As bad as this was... you obviously have not had the displeasure of interacting with "Joe" often. This guys is clASS through and through.
