  1. I concur 100%. I was screaming at the fuggin TV to please not turn into a complete chickenshit and SET UP A LONG FG INTO THE FUGGIN WIND. UN-FUGGIN-BE-FUGGIN-LIEVABLE! You get paid to think about football ALL FUGGIN WEEK, and you seriously set up a long FG into the wind. Gutless. Plain friggin gutless.
  2. I never lived there, as I grew up in Pittsburgh. And yes, I do help as I have season tickets, go to about 6 games a year and eat and drink in Buffalo. Everything else though, yeah, I hear ya.
  3. As a side note, I'm not one who gets mad when people make fun of Buffalo. It doesn't bother me, but jeez, it seems to be growing more and more. In the first case, it's rather telling what one of the NFL's super agents thinks of Buffalo, and it can't help. Oh well..... So anyway, I can't believe someone didn't post this last week 2 seconds after it happened, or maybe someone did. So, Drew Rosenhaus is on NFL Live, or Sportscenter, or PTI, I can't remember, and he's detailing how his clients make demands on where they want to go. For instance, player X may take less money to stay where he is, but not significantly less. Player Y may only want to play where he is or in a certain conference. And then I quote......he says....... "Then you have the players that will take the highest bid no matter what the circumstance even if it means playing for Cincinnati or Buffalo".......and then everyone laughed. Kind of pissed me off, but oh well. Not good though, coming from an agent who represents a ton of NFL players. Then, this morning, and this one was more funny........I'm listening to the Playboy Morning show on Sirius just to get away from football overload and who comes on but Mark Schlereth. So, they are talking about various things and then one of the hosts asks him who are the hottest cheerleaders in the league. Schereth answered that when he played the Raiderettes were known as the hottest. They all laugh a bit, and then talk about florida teams and their cheerleders. Then the playboy dude exclaims this gem while cracking up..... "So yeah ummmmmm, you never or do we ever want to hear about those Buffalo Bills cheerleaders." And they all laughed histerically, and then changed the subject. UGH. LOL. I mean, those of you that have been to other stadiums know the Jills are pretty weak, but they are still decent. So, here I am trying to get away from football talk and I STILL GET IT ANYWAY. Well, here's one big PHUCK YOU World........I don't know it just makes me feel better today!
  4. LOL, like I said, the local hacks are a bunch of stiffs. The National Weather Service people saw this coming 7 days ago. It's a mess right now in Erie and starting to move up the thru-way!
  5. No offense, but this is the amatuer stuff. This is the dufus who is overpaid to make wrong predictions most of the time. The natiional weather service is the real deal, and is usually dead on. The local weather man is about as good as most citie's local homer sports guy.......well, they actually aren't good at all. Two times I came to Buffalo this season for games, and the local idiots predicted zero chances of rain and it rained both times.......idiots. Stick to the real meteorologists!
  6. From the national weather service....This could get interesting.....should be a REAL FUN RIDE up I-90 for this one! THIS PERIOD WILL FEATURE A RATHER ACTIVE WEATHER REGIME... PARTICULARLY TO THE LEE OF THE LAKES AS A LONGWAVE TROUGH DEVELOPS ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES REGION. COLDER AIR ARRIVING BEHIND A COLD FRONT WILL PRODUCE INCREASINGLY FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR LAKE EFFECT PRECIPITATION DURING THE END PART OF THE WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. IT DOES APPEAR THAT THERE WILL BE SIGNIFICANT LAKE SNOWS FOR PORTIONS OF OUR FORECAST AREA DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. CURRENT THINKING IS THAT THE LAKE PLUMES SHOULD ORIENTATE SOUTH OF THE BUFFALO AND WATERTOWN AREAS AT THE START OF THE PERIOD...AS STEERING FLOW LOOKS TO BE OUT OF THE WEST NORTHWEST INITIALLY BEHIND THE COLD FRONT. SEVERAL EMBEDDED UPPER SHORTWAVES WILL COMPLICATE MATTERS AND IT APPEARS THAT ONE WILL BE APPROACHING THE AREA BY LATE SUNDAY OR SUNDAY NIGHT WHICH WILL ALLOW THE LOW LEVEL FLOW TO BACK BRINGING THE LAKE PLUMES NORTHWARD INTO THE BUFFALO AND WATERTOWN AREAS FOR A PERIOD LATE SUNDAY AND INTO MONDAY. BEHIND THIS SHORTWAVE THE FLOW AGAIN BECOMES WEST NORTHWESTERLY AND THE LAKE PLUMES SHOULD SETTLE BACK SOUTH OF THE BUFFALO AND WATERTOWN AREAS. AN EVEN MORE NORTHWESTERLY FLOW DEVELOPS AS RIDGING STARTS APPROACHING BY LATE MONDAY AND TUESDAY WHICH SHOULD FOCUS LAKE PLUMES WELL SOUTH OF BUFFALO AND FROM ROCHESTER TO THE TUG HILL REGION. RIDGE SETTLING ACROSS THE AREA BY THE END OF THE PERIOD SHOULD BRING A DIMINISHING TREND TO THE LAKE EFFECT ACTIVITY.
  7. I'm not sure who would write such a dumb thing, but ok. Anyway, Hoke hasn't been, nor is he rumored to go anywhere. Maybe after this year he might get some interest. However, how in the world can a school like Ball State pay Hoke a million dollars a year or so (like a larger school could), when they average about 17,000 fans or so, and ticket prices are around $10? It's impossible. THey just upped his contract into the top third of the MAC, as well as putting 13 million dollars into a stadium renovation. But pay him big bucks? Ummmmm, that's just not feasible for a university of it's size.
  8. Ball State has had near misses against big time programs in the last couple of years. They barely lost to Boston College at home, should have beaten Michigan at Michigan last year, and hung 41 on Nebraska at their place recently, and lost by one. They've lost to West Virginia by three, so they've been right there, just couldn't get over the hump until this year. They did, however, schedule smartly. They pounded Indiana at IU, and beat Navy rather easily at home. That's not exactly setting the world on fire, but it's scheduling smart in the good year to do so. That being said, I don't think they can win a BCS game without Dante Love, the WR who fractured his spine and can never play again. Love caught over 100 passes last season, and was on a high pace again this season until his injury. BSU might have a first round draft pick in QB Nate Davis. They also may have a first or second (more likely) TE in Darius Hill. The friggin guy is huge. With Dante Love, I think the Cards could at least score a bunch of points. Nate Davis is an unreal college QB. If say BSU wins out, gets in, and plays Pitt.....well......they could easily beat Pitt. Other than that, I think they would get smashed by any of this year's large conference BCS teams. It just sucks that Love got hurt. BSU, actually might not get past Central Michigan in two weeks. We'll see. But finality says that BSU isn't as good as that Boise St team, because they don't have as many weapons without Love in there.
  9. Larry Gautier is the Orange Bowl representative that was at the Ball State game on Wednesday night in Muncie. Why do I care? Because I'm a BSU alum. Because my Cards are 9-0. Because we are knocking on the door of the BCS. Yes, Eastern Mich, Ball State, Miami, Ohio, Kent (Eltie Eight even)have all reached the sweet sixteen in the BBALL tourney numerous times since 1990. But, that's basketball. Who really cares....... This is FOOTBALL. The big stage. And to see a MAC school in there would be cool. However, the coolness would most likely be short lived, especially without Dante Love as someone like Florida would pound their undersized defense. Nonetheless, Ball State could put the MAC on the map big time this January. Three games left. Including at Central, which could be big trouble. However, just to have Orange Bowl representative and Ball State in the same sentence is already cool enough for me. GO CARDS!
  10. Congrats Pooj. Now, me and the mrs. are about to buy a big screen HD TV, so if you can get me a deal or some good coupons I may come on in one of the Richmond locations and pick it up.
  11. I agree. The most amazing part about this whole play was that the Jets player actually knew the rule and executed it to his team's favor. As dumb as the rule is.....and in this day of stupid football players.......that was one of the most heads up plays I've seen in a long time. Stupid Rule = Great Play
  12. It's only actually because of Ohio State in the National Championship game. Look this up, in the last couple of years alone, outside of OSU being in the national Championship game......the Big Ten has whipped the SEC's ass in the other bowl games. No one ever wants to talk about that though.
  13. While you are at it, look at all of the other plays this season that we run to Peters side. Since he dominates almost every play of every game, I'm just wondering when we'll have a hole open up near him where it takes Marshawn or Freddie almost no effort to run through. And again, I don't care if all 11 guys are lined up right over Peters himself. If he's the best new LT in the game, when can we count on him to get us an important first down pickup?
  14. No, he wasn't, but for the so called (as a ton of people here proclaimed) best new LT in the game.....where's the run blocking out of him? I mean, now that he was crowned the new best LT in the game by everyone here.....and now that he's had 8 weeks to get in shape......he should be a playmaker on this team. I mean really, one of, if not "the best" player at his position should have absolutely crushed someone en route to a Marshawn first down in a key situation. Or again, have the standards changed?
  15. I'm just curious. Last week, the phat ass told us he dominated Joey Porter 67 of 68 plays yet we can't run the football to his side to save our lives. So, with another running game that was non-existent yesterday, I just wanna know how the future hall of famer did yesterday? Doesn't seem like the Jackie Slater clone opens up any holes either, as well as missing key blocks at certain times throughout this season. I can feel another BB.com article coming on telling me how good he's playing. 3rd and short, no problem, we can always try on fourth down. Fourth and short......with the future hall of famer (or insert beast, road grader, ox, pro bowler, or animal).....oh wait.......no, he can't be counted on then either. I'm confused, I seem to remember the most dominant LT's in game good for a yard in short situations right? Or, have the standards changed? He had to have dominated like what yesterday......all 75 plays right?
  16. This is so stupid. I'm not against a stadium in NF or anything, but how in the fugg does it shave off 45 minutes off of their trip? I stay in Canada sometimes and make it to the stadium in like 25 minutes. Just like today. 25 minutes from NF to Buffalo isn't stopping hordes of Canadians from coming to OP for a football game.
  17. So Peters dominated Porter 67 of 68 plays, yet Marshawn Lynch and Jackson fail to find running room on the left side? If Peters dominated the game at LT, then we'd have more running room on at least one or two plays. Get a grip with this Peters excuse making. He's not playing that well. The definition of dominating is what Orlando Pace, Walter Jones, Boselli and players of the like used to do. And when you need a yard, you could run right up their asses to get it. Peters is no where near the player some of you think he is. Seriously, has it been that long ago that we have had a great O-lineman that none of you can decipher between them and Peters?
  18. Oh boy.....I'll just be as direct as I can with my opinion on this..... Who in the hell wants Ted Cottrell as their DC? I couldn't stand sitting through his bend but don't break schemes when he was here, let alone everywhere else he was fired. My uncle is a lifelong Vikings fan and was ready to kill Fat Ted when he was in Minnesota. I would bet Ted is never a DC again in this league.
  19. Naive is when you read a story written on Buffalobills.com, and taking their word that Peters is playing well. Peters has been been average, at best, this year. Can't run his way when you need a yard on third and one. He's been beat on several key occasions this year. Several. Not one out of 75. He's actually effected outcomes of games this season. He hasn't been anywhere near a pro bowl caliber player like him and his agent said he was. Franchise LT's dominate, and he hasn't come close this year. buffalobills.com = propaganda
  20. Have you been hanging out with Santonio Holmes and Ricky Williams?
  21. I don't know, no biggie......it's just kinda neat to see stuff like that.
  22. Been working a ton lately, and still can't easily find anything on McGee. Anyone have any info on if McGee is going to be back this week? Thanks!!!
  23. And he has maintained a level of dominance in only his second year. He's already a consistent performer. Peters, on the other hand, almost ate his way out of football at Arkansas. Kind of got his act together in Buffalo, and made the switch to LT by working hard to get there. And then, like many here who believe what's typed about him, he made a bonehead mistake and held out for more money after ONE pro bowl year. In no way, shape or form has this worked out well for either Peters, or his team. Peters needs to remember what got him here......the hard work he needs to stay in shape in order to play well. He made the wrong decision, and as a result, may be losing bargaining power to be mentioned with the best LT's in the game......because he's not going to be mentioned with any of them too much longer. This is especially true if Thomas stays in the AFC and Long is as good as they think he has been so far. Peters fugged up. I just wish I knew if it was his own fault or his agent.
