I'm not going into all that, because it's been re-hashed over and over who all the big name GM's that are sitting out there. You said exactly that "The Bills could not go outside for a GM candidate until the end of the season." That's false. Completely. As far as we know about Holmgren too is that we asked him to be our coach, not GM. We don't know that for sure, but the report was about coaching, not running the org.

I'm OK with Nix, but your logic is BS. There are quality GM's sitting out there now. Also, the Browns did it, so why not the Bills again?

As a season ticket holder, I'm OK with it, IF the Bills hire a competent coaching staff. Then, I think the Bills will have done pretty decent. We'll see what he does with the coaching situation. I would, however, ask him if he was responsible for the Maybin pick in the PC if I was in the WNY media. I would follow that with why they thought that was the better choice than Orakpo. Just a little something that I know the chickenschitt WNY would never do, I would just like to know who was responsible for that pick. Maybe selfishly, but I still want to know.

As with every other thing the Bills ruin, what are the chances that Russ Brandon, fresh from whatever bunker he hides in, comes out and says........"We're all here for this big announcement"...................and then the feed cuts out like usual, so that nobody but the people in attendance can hear what he's saying?

Is there really any difference between Brohm and Edwards and Fitz? Really, is there that much of a dropoff between all 400 of DB's? And really, our any of our offensive lineman any different than the others? I mean, Wood and Levitre have a chance to be above average once they mature, but has it really mattered that starters are out? They are all about the same below average starters. If the Bills had gamebreaking players, I could agree here, but they don't. The Bills starters aren't much better, if at all, than their backups at the positions you listed.

Amen to this. I went to Best Buy before Christmas to get a Sanus Corner TV wall mount that was priced in Best Buy at $299.99. I about died. Then, they said they would price match THEIR own website, LOL, at $249.99. I proceeded to show them the same mount on Amazon for $89.99 and since they didn't match that, I also showed it to the other two customers there with me looking at the same mount. Needless to say, they said they would search Amazon. Amazon plus free shipping on anything over $50, saved me over $200. Two days later, it was at my door, and on the wall! I now love Amazon and Overstock .com's.

This is worth nothing, but it makes this thread even more fun.... #1 Bill Cowher HATED Tom Donahoe, and my guess is he would LOVE to do in Buffalo, what TD couldn't. First, win the SB without TD, and then turn around Buffalo when TD couldn't. #2 I had a breakdown the week that DJ was fired. So, just to fire up myself, and get some Bills fans fired up, I called Sirius NFL Radio and tried to talk Marty into coming back to Buffalo. He was flattered and said some good things about the town, fans, etc. The wierd thing is that he did say this.....he's not really interested in coaching again, however, in his opinion, he thought the Bills should target Bill Cowher. He called Cowher a perfect fit for Buffalo, and said the Bills organization and their fans might actually be surprised to hear that Cowher would be interested. He said that the Bills should pursue him with every resource they have and they just might be surprised in his interest.

Again, if a good personnel man hits the jackpot with Snyder's money, the Skins will turn around in a hurry. Many teams draft well, and then put up big money to one or two big time free agents AND sign their own. A good football person will easilty be able to do this in Washington. Not Snyder's close friend, Cerrato. Not 90 yr old Bruce Smith and 82 year old Deion Sanders. A good football man will have every opportunity to succeed in Washington. He'll have cash, freedom, and will be able to choose the cream of the coaching crop. Everyone hates Daniel Snyder cuz he's a dickhead. No one argues that. He's learning and is turning over the reigns to football people. It's a dream job for someone like Shanahan and Allen. They'll be back in a hurry if they add Shanny to the mix. Thier only drawback is that there may not be a big time QB available.

Because a good personnel man will go there knowing Synder will open up the cash flow to fill holes on their roster. Buffalo, most likely will not. If a good football guy ever hits the jackpot with Snyders money, the Skins can pull off a major turnaround in one year. Easily.

We just ran over to Lowes actually. Hull is passable, but it's freezing and getting slick. That one hill where the Bonefish, Friday's and Cracker Barrel and Chipotle etc, is giving people some fits. Mainly the morons who go about 5 mph mess it up for everyone else, because you all of a sudden have to avoid them and then someone starts skidding outta control trying to avoid rear-ending them. Seriously, there was a lady petrified going about 5 mph down that hill toward the bridge and was causing havoc.

Schools don't open until after labor day here either. My wife (Chesterfield), mom (VA Beach), and dad (Richmond City - God Bless Him) are all teachers and they all had their last day Friday!

Got about 13 inches total here in far Western Chesterfield. It's actually starting to snow again. Loved it today. Supposed to be 40 tomorrow, so they should have most of the main roads cleared by end of tomorrow. Cool thing.....go to www.511virginia.org and look at some of the traffic cams up near Charlottesville and Roanoke. The Interstates are a mess. Especially in the Afton Mountain area. There was a 26 mile backup on I-81 today!!!

He was? Since when? He lost a power struggle with his head coach. The Steelers were highly thought of, as they are now. But many people in and around the Pittsburgh area hated TD, and they went on to be better without him. I remember when all of my family was calling me telling me how happy they were that he left Pittsburgh. I didnt' believe them. They were right. I also do remember though, that TD was highly thought of from the people who weren't in Cowher's camp. So, he was definately credentialed, but he wasn't the top GM.
