  1. LMAO. You didn't really just say this did you? Google.......news ratings. It's not even close as to "who still tunes into" what stations.
  2. Sweet. I live south of Richmond, and my mom, who is also a big Bills fan, lives 2 miles from the Sportsplex. I'm getting season tickets. Football is football. And if it's cheap enough, it'll be a good time to get outside and enjoy some pretty good players, and darn good head coaching. I like it. Martyball!
  3. This is pretty cool. I was thinking about getting season tickets to the VA team anyway. If Martyball comes, I'll probably do it. It's something to do.
  4. LMAO. Jesus. But hey, thank god we actually have a confident athlete on our team......finally. Count me in on the bandwagon, because I've decided I'm also now all about my Stevie Johnson. Go Stevie, Go Stevie, Go Stevie.
  5. I'm not a Sabres fan, but good for you guys. The way I'm hoping this helps my selfish interests is that Pegula builds a winner, spends to do it, and makes the Bills feel as they are second class citizens in town. Maybe then, the Bills organization will feel a little bit of urgency to actually field a winner year after year instead of just existing. Far fetched, maybe, but I know if I was an owner of the Bills, and Pegula built and spent like a winner, I would start to feel a little inferior. Maybe Pegula is just what Buffalo needs. A guy who doesn't make excuses because it's Buffalo. Things are looking a little brighter in Buffalo these days!
  6. Actually, they've sold out the majority of their games even though the management and the Bills product has been a joke for a very prolonged period of time. That's a testatment to how strong the NFL actually is. If Morton's Steak House started serving Golden Corral quality Friday Night Buffet Sirloin, they would go out of business. While the Bills prices are low, if they ever became competent, they could easily raise their prices to be AT LEAST to the middle of the pack in the NFL. A coherent owner, a professional caliber front office, and a few quality players would do wonders. I know I know, why set our standards so high, after all, we are Buffalo.
  7. We are currently wearing "a fresh new design", and we ended up with easily the worst uniforms in the league.
  8. Damn, I had to sit back and try to think who the hell Jason White was for a second there. Don't know if I drew a blank, or if he was just that forgettable. lol
  9. As people already answered, not really. Mangini's Browns finished strong the year before, AND as Holmgren the coach knows, a coach deserves more than one season to turn around a team. Thus, he gave Mangini another year. I don't think he picked up Delhomme to lead the Browns franchise out of the doldrums either. It was a veteran presence on a roster he most likely knew he was going to turn over at some point. There isn't a person in the world that blames him for getting rid of Harrison. Kind of like Gailey. Anyone down on him for starting Edwards is nuts. They knew this team sucked, and was clearly a year of review. I credit Gailey for trying to teach the QB how to play, and when he failed, pulled the plug. Kudos for having the guts to get rid of him after he failed. While we liked what Gailey did, I'm not really sure a George Edwards defense and an offensive coordinator who is a puppet should be free from criticism. While it was strangely a fun year, while we sucked again, the Bills made some mighty dumb decisions along the way. In fact, it can be easily argued that they still made a lot more than the Browns or Redskins. They all need another year to START to criticize what they may or may not be doing. True, but I really wasn't being serious. I'm from Pittsburgh, my whole family loves the Steelers, and I was sick of hearing about them 24/7. Wasn't really looking for a tit to suck on, or acceptance from the community. I just had some Steeler bandwagon overload.
  10. Absolutely. This is maybe the dumbest post of the offseason so far. It reeks of inferiority. They have both just turned in their first year for two of the biggest dysfunctional franchises in the league (with the Bills being right there with them). And both still have no QB. And in the Redskins case, they also have no WR's. Stupidity can come in all salaries. Cornell Green, CJ Spiller, Kelsay to LB anyone? All three teams haven't had enough time to turn around total disasters yet, but to act like a Holmgren or Shanny run team is awful seems a bit laced with jealousy. I would say though, that if Shanahan doesn't get some kind of results this year, he'll be the first to start hearing critcism. He is in his perfect world with an owner that likes to spend as much as he does. We'll see how it all turns out.
  11. I'm not usually an ESPN basher,, because it usually doesn't rile me up enough to care. But this is one of the dumbest articles I've ever read in my life. You've gotta be kidding me. I'm not even going to get into it to debate it....yeah....it's not even worth it. The best info I got from it, is that the Bills payroll is very low.
  12. Even though no real Pittsburgher has called any one of their three sports teams by those colors. I guess Black and Gold is frowned upon now. Just sayin. I hate the Steelers. Please someone stop the Steeler luck. That's all I got. I needed to vent.
  13. Let's end the stupidity in this thread and kill the macho yelling by looking at recent champs: 10 New Orleans - Franchise QB 09 Pittsburgh - Franchise QB 08 NY Giants - Franchise QB 07 Indy - Franchise QB 06 Pittsburgh - Franchise QB 05 Patriots - Franchise QB 04 Patriots - Franchise QB 03 Tampa Bay - Defense 02 Patriots - Franchise QB 01 Baltimore - Defense 00 Rams - Franchise QB 99 Denver - Franchise QB 98 Denver - Franchise QB 97 Green Bay - Franchise QB You were saying??? Or, should I keep going with Aikman, Young, Aikman, Aikman, and so on??? While football is a team game, a franchise QB goes a long way helping teams win. Good teams without franchise QB's usually get shut down because teams can shut down their ability to run and force offensive coordinators to play the game scared. IE, Baltimore through the years. Almost all of these teams have franchise QB's. Other factors such as Terrell Davis in Denver helped. HOWEVER, Davis without a franchise QB would have been pretty easy to shut down in today's NFL. It's a QB driven game nowadays, and this list of champs pretty clearly, on an elementary level shows that most teams are set at QB when they've won the big one.
  14. LMAO. Terrible post. Your gonna get smacked around in this thread. There are so many holes in this, it's not funny.
  15. Who gives a rats ass? Seriously. So, beat him then. Shut him up. Good for Brady, at least he isn't the puss I thought he was. I swear some of you never put on a uniform and competed before. And for the record, ESPN did a story on Big Ben this year about how he is one the biggest trash talking, mouthy players in the league. So, go ahead and scratch BR off your list. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  16. I offer Harbaugh some serious cash and let him coach. I then draft Andrew Luck. Look out nfc South. This is a actually a great college QB matchup tonight. But man, really, Harbaugh and Luck are right there for the taking.
  17. LMAO. Hell yeah. Go get em Rexie!!! Good god this is great.
  18. I would guess he is, by far, the #1 read writer in the Buffalo News. I'm not sure how many people have ANY use for local TV sports news anymore. I can't remember the last time I stayed tuned in to local TV sports for anything. It's that useless nowadays. Although, I will preface that with the fact that I live in a city with NO pro sports, so there really isn't a use for local TV sports. Although they do cover the Redskins and Nats. Sports is controversial with as much stupidity that happens on a regular basis. Thus, the talk shows mirror that. Because of course, who would actually want to sit and rehash honest and balanced discussion about the same Bills mistakes that have happened over the same 11 years over and over? It gets old after awhile. But hey, those damn pinheads just don't get what's not boring I guess.
  19. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!
  20. Both. Sully is weaslin his way in on the fun huh? There's no way he could be just telling it like it is huh? No way he's just stating that this win is a little better than beating woeful Detroit, Cincy and Cleveland? LOL. Of course not, he's weasling in on fun. Geesus people, get a grip. That Jerry is a pro. Pretty simple. I don't why some of you are so jealous that he's considered a pro.
  21. Really? I discovered a ton about Eric Wood today just from his quote yesterday that was pointed out in Jerry's piece today. I discovered what I thought his frame of mind was. I always thought that Eric Wood seemed very much into the game. That quote seems to confirm my thoughts. I always had an impression that Wood could be a leader. That quote today confirmed that. I always HOPED that the Bills had some players that were tuned in to the the Bills plight. That quote confirmed everything I was hoping was true about Eric Wood. For that piece of Sully's piece today, it made it all worth it to me. 100%. Got a ton from that. Chris Brown is useless, as is anything not roster related coming from him. He offers nothing that makes us more knowledgeable. He is good at what he does. His job is just useless. If he went away, nobody would notice, and that doesn't seem very fulfilling to me. To each his own though.
  22. So in other words, Jerry sucks because he doesn't give us original ideas when the franchise has made the same mistakes for going on a decade and a half, but he's supposed to be original right? But wait, there's more. TBD is better because it ISN'T full of "reactionary complaining"??? Jerry has no football knowledge right, none? And TBD hasn't rehashed the same tired topics over and over and over and over and over and over? Really? Should I point out some topics that get re-hashed every day? You think it's different for a writer that has no other angle to cover this team, because the organization hasn't given them one in over ten years? TBD original? Please. The same things are discussed all of time. This ending to this year is helping a bit, but cmon.
  23. Correct, so whether you like it or not, that would be the definition of a pro. And as most of us now have the technology not to need the typical game story reporter to rehash a game story play by play, because we have all most likely already have seen the game, it's highlights, and watched the press conferences online, the opinion guys are pretty much all that get read nowadays.
  24. A lot of it will, but not all of it. Nor should all of it. For instance, in next season's AFC Championship game, when Gailey has poor clock management skills at Pittsburgh, it should be brought up. Because most likely, that is the only mistake that cost us from going to the Superbowl in 2011. LOL. But yeah, when this team shows signs of turning the corner, a lot of negativity will go away.
