Are some of you really that dumb that you can't figure this out? Really? More than a decade of sucking has caused this. Period. Another season of almost all Bills fans that thought we would suck has caused this. Period. An owner that hasn't spend near the cap AND has sold a home game to Toronto has caused this. Period. There are just as many seats to sell on an individual game basis as there are season ticket holders (in which I have two season tickets, and have been to every game this year....a 10 hour drive for me). But please, spare me the rah rah crap. 10 years of pure mismanagement isn't going to be erased in 8 games. And it certainly doesn't help that the Bills are now 2-3 in their last 5 games. People still don't fully believe in this team. I think we all love rooting for these guys, but a lot of people were lost in believing in this owner's commitment to winning over the last decade or so. It has taken it's toll. It doesn't make Buffalo less of a football town, or less of a fan base. When someone keeps rolling out dogschitt, year after year, sooner or later, people get sick of it. People got sick of it this year......clearly with the huge drop in season tickets. It doesn't come back overnight. There are far more teams not selling out games than Buffalo with FAR better records over the last 10-11 years. Fact. Many teams who are even claiming sellouts, aren't selling out games.....Washington comes to mind, for example. So, please, save the rah rah crap. The Bills organization owes the fans much more commitment than the Bills fans owe management in this case. Hopefully, this is the beginning of our turnaround. With some competence by this team and management will come better ticket sales. But, you can't just expect blind support, after getting shat on, by masses of people, especially in this economy. When the idea that Bills fans want to win much more than ownership, this is what happens. Hopefully, its changing. Some of you need to quit cowering in the corner because you think that if fans don't go to games, this team is gone, no matter what. I certainly hope the stadium is full for the last three games, and I will most likely be there no matter what. But I certainly can see why it might not be full. Only someone totally up Ralph's asss can't comprehend why the place isn't soldout after the last decade or so of pure fan abuse. Yeah, because that Toronto game is packed with fans overflowing into standing room only seating, right? Oh, and in the smallest stadium in the league. Gee, wonder why that game pisses off most Bills fans. Most Bills fans would rather have an owner committed to winning, and raise prices to a satisfactory league level which would make up the difference of playing one game in Toronto per year. The key there is an owner who is committed to winning and putting a product and resources toward the product they are trying to sell. We don't always feel that way.

A New Domed Bills Stadium in the Falls?
Lv-Bills replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To shatter your theory, the first three games had gobs of red club seats empty. The raiders game had small blocks of empty seats in the upper deck corners. Both games were deemed sellouts, and they weren't. The weather couldn't have been better. The games in December will have no problem selling out if the Bills are playing well. And again, the season ticket base will go up next year, making more games sellout quickly because people will fear not being able to get to any games. When you've sucked for 12 years, games will not sell out. And if you can't admit that the red seats were only about 70% full for the first three games this year, well, you simply aren't telling the truth. So, in perfect weather, the Bills aren't yet, selling all of their tickets. This week, I bet the stadium is totally full. This will continue if the Bills continue to win. For the first time in a decade, I'm getting offers for more than double the face value of my tickets. I haven't sold any yet, it's been too fun to attend so far this year. -

No games are soldout in December because we have sucked for 11 years. The season ticket base is way down, and there are a lot of games that didn't sell well until now. With the season ticket base at about 35K, the Bills have to sell roughly the same amount of tickets for single games. Not easy, especially when you've sucked for so long. If the Bills keep this up, all games will easily sellout this year. Also, the season ticket base will start to go back up and as tickets get scarce earlier, the Bills will have ZERO trouble selling out the season. You'll see that next year. Guaranteed. Not to mention, for almost every game so far this season, the club seating has been far from sold out. All on perfect weather days and high profile teams. Does this mean fans didn't want to come to RWS in nice weather too? -

NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. #1, there is no money and should be no money to do this. Period. #2 I don't know how many of you go to other NFL stadiums, BUT the seating in the Ralph is incredible. End of story. There is no better stadium in the league for sightlines, seating, closeness to field, etc. The Ralph is incredible. Make the amenities away from the seats upgraded, and we'll be fine. The Ralph is awesome for football. We don't need a new stadium. We need an upgrade. -
Whose going ot the Jets game next week?
Lv-Bills replied to DaBills92's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I probably spend about $600 up there every game I go to. Counting gas, hotels, merchandise, food, etc. I'm sure some people spend more. Hell, I know someone right off of 20A (Kings Court) and park at their house and tailgate with them in their yard, otherwise I'd have to spend even more. At the guy's house that I go to each week, his brother also comes in from the Philadelphia area, and I know he outspends me. So, the money brought in is pretty significant, I would think. The only bad thing for me, is that I have a feeling I'll be paying for this season on my credit card for a lonnnnnnng time. LOL. Oh well, you only live once! Go Bills. -

I've been to every home game so far this year, and will also be at this one, all the way from Richmond, VA. Go Bills. -
I can't wait until this weekend. I hope the Ralph is revved up again. I'm sure it will be. Oh, but I can't disagree more about the Giants. They suck. New England will beat them by at least 14, AND the Eagles will win that division. Easily. You heard it here when the Giants were 5-2.
-
All we heard today was that the Skins were beat up, right? They were without Santana Moss, their #2 WR. They were without their starting LT, Trent Williams. They were without their starting RB, that they were thinking of replacing while he was healthy, Tim Hightower. And they were without TE, Chris Cooley, who was already being phased out by their really good TE, Fred Davis. OK, so. Why didn't they talk about the Bills being without their #2 WR, Donald Jones? Why didn't they talk about the Bills being without their TWO starting LT's, Hairston and Bell? Why no mention that their starting OLB went on injured reserve? How about our Pro Bowl NT Kyle Williams? No mention there either. The Bills were actually down more than the Redskins were in terms of quality players being out. That really got on my nerves today. FUGGG you Shanahan. Gailey thoroughly kicked your ass today just like he kicked Todd Haley's ass earlier this year. Yeah, this is a bit of a rah rah post, but so be it. Way to go Chan, you clearly are getting more out of your boys than is Mike Shanahan. Enjoy the next 24 hours boys!

This can actually be good news for those of you (us) that have the NHL package. The Florida Panthers network is currently one of the stations that will be cancelled. They were running the crawl saying so across their game tonight. Even though I'm not a Panthers fan, by any means, I will be calling and acting like I am so that I can be fully credited my NHL package. Yeah Yeah, cheap I know, but I don't feel sorry for DTV as they try to nickel and dime you for everything. I so wish for the day where FIOS would have the Sunday NFL Ticket. Oh well.

My neighbor worked for Clear Channel, (not sure if all of her years were for clearchannel because I don't know if they were the one's that owned the stations the whole time) for 18 years in Richmond VA. She was the top dog in the advertsing department for two of their FM stations and one AM in Richmond. The AM station is a powerhouse station. She went to work one day about three weeks ago, and she was blindsided by management and told that she was being let go. She made a pretty good salary, and I actually worked with her on some projects between our two businesses. She was as professional and good at her job as anyone else I've ever dealt with while trying to advertise on the radio side of things. They told her she wasn't bringing in enough ad revenue and they needed to search for someone else that could. She has her work evaluations from them over the last 11 years that are all pretty damn good. Result.....they hired two interns from local colleges. I'm sure her boss got a raise to take over her duties as well. Pretty ****ty.

ATTA BOY GEORGE. Finally, someone with some nuts to say what almost all Bills fans really think of this debacle. AMEN!!! Hell, I might buy a Wilson jersey because of this!

LMAO, somebody from the NFL obviously just called ESPN and told them to put a positive spin on all the empty seats. Tirico trying to explain the empty seats was painful. And then trying to say that they fill extra seats just because people come from UGA and FLA was even worse. As if that game wouldn't sellout regardless. JAX shouldn't have pro football. It's the only city in the league, really, that I wouldn't care if they relocated. -
Do the Bills sell the Jim Kelly, etc. club seats...
Lv-Bills replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. And they have plenty of inventory. Once the season starts and they fall short (wayyyy short this year), they will sell them for individual games. -
ROFLMAO. Good god. Priceless. If you have been around here for more than say, 6 months or so, and you are in here debating this.....shame on you. for Crayonz

Driving back from Buffalo to VA after the first three home games, I have pretty much heard it all over the last few weeks. Cowherd isn't buying the Bills for two reasons. He said their defense is atrocious, which it is. And his main reason that he isn't buying the Bills is because of our schedule. He actually refers to the Bills as a pretty good team, horrendous schedule. Calls us one of the best teams in football in the redzone, and one of the worst on defense. Sounds pretty dead on to me. The only reason I chimed in on this thread is because he doens't hate the Bills. He speaks well of them most of the time. He just doesn't think our schedule will allow our final record to be as good as the Raiders, as an example. This isn't a Buffalo is a fraud type thing. And overall, who cares!

I like Smith, but also thought and continue to believe that this was one of the dumbest signings by any team. He's a gadget, coming to a team that had too many holes to fill. I would have used the money elsewhere.

Yeah, but ask these same geniuses if they are winning this battle against her, and they'll swear they are. The ignorance and stupidity of some people over something so trivial is amazing. -

Really? Now, you're going to play the grandmother card....from this? " They say: The Bills are the only true New York team. Susan Coffey, a lovely 82-year-old lifelong Bills fan who lives in Slingerlands, made this case in a letter to the department. She was upset that the Week 1 Jets' win made the cover of the sports section while a story about the Bills' handling of the Chiefs ended up inside. I had a great time talking to you, Mrs. Coffey, and I feel a connection with any woman who will scream at her television when her team is on. But let's not get hung up on state borders. East Rutherford, N.J. = 21/2-hour drive Ralph Wilson Stadium = 5-hour drive And Buffalo is practically in Canada. They play some of their "home" games in Toronto. So are they really New York's team? Are they even America's team?" So, by that piece of the column, Gish needs to get called a Cunnnt, B word, whore, threatened, etc? REALLY? She took one jab at Buffalo playing in Canada, kinda like, you know, the Jets playing in NJ, and she's wayyyyy outta line? She actually makes a couple of good points. The Giants and Jets are much closer. Buffalo is practically in Canada is a friggin joke, much the same as we rag on the JEts and Giants playing in NJ. And, the game is Toronto is a flat out joke. No other owner would willingly give up a home game per year like we do. Seriously, some of you need help. My gradmother OR mother (who bleeds Bills blue) would laugh at this. And I, in no way shape or form, would ever want you speaking for me. It's idiotic to respond in the fashion some of you have. She made fun of the Bills. Get over it. I didn't like the column either, but really, you are this angry over something as trivial as this? This column justifies calling her a !@#$, stupid, whore, ugly, B word, and everything else that was said. Grow up. Really. Hell, by the way, half of the responses that were said to her aren't even allowed here. They are edited out. Unreal. -
I say 20-16 Buffalo. This is a classic trap game, OR one of those letdown games after coming off of not one, but two emotional, comeback wins.

Six of us that sit next to each other from the Ralph are seriously considering the idea.
