No, not really. Some of us just wanted a couple of stud, young, offensive lineman who were available early, PLUS the retreads we have gotten so far, to then provide some depth. All would have been doable under our cap. Instead we are getting quantity, and not necessarily quality. What good is so much depth, when your starters above the "depth" actually suck too? I will say this though, I'm willing to give Marv a chance. I just don't see it though. The team still seems directionless at this point. Only because we haven't really addressed any trouble spots yet. I will say this though, I was so sick of the team and it's players last season, I would take anything as an alternative. At least I have a perception of these new guys of bringing energy and excitement in getting playing time. At least I hope so.

Yeah, it's a ton better today than yesterday. Of course though, it couldn't get any worse yesterday. My faith is being restored somewhat. Can't wait to hear Brad at night's especially when some decent Bills news hits.....if that is ever going to actually happen.
-
You know what else though.......what about Hutch himself putting the screws to the Hawks. I mean, that's kind of cheap of Hutchinson too. He could have gone back and told the Seahawks what he wanted OR he would sign this particular deal. What Hutchinson did, doesn't completely sit well with me either. Let alone the Vikes.

Reggie Wells - OL - tendered offer sheet
Lv-Bills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, in typical KFFL form, most of this is from the actual Arizona Cardinals website. Consider Wells 99% signed with the Cards. The fact that the Cards website has a much longer article than this tells me that they will no doubt match the Bills offer. Whenever you see the propaganda machine kick in on the team's website, it's pretty much a done deal, IMO. -
Oh gimmie a break. Again, just so you can try to comprehend. Just so you can't spin this so that you can try and sound important. I THOUGHT THE SHOW SUCKED................PERIOD. It has nothing to do with the Bills. Seriously, is this Howard Simon or something? We have two all-sports talk radio stations in Richmond, VA. In a town with ZERO major league sports teams. One homer in the AM who is pretty awful. And two competing guys in the 3-7 PM time slot. One who actually worked for WGR two years ago. As far as sports information goes, the two guys in Richmond blew away GR today. That isn't saying much. But at least the guys throw out daily topics and try to get discussion on something. Don't know if it's like that all the time. The thing that sucks for me personally is that, obviously, I really don't care about VA Tech or UVA or the Skins or Nats. So, I'm thinking, yessssssssssssssssssssss, WGR is streaming....how cool is it going to be to hear Buffalo sports talk radio? Well, it really was awful this AM. I had to seriously turn it off. And then, when people called in to talk about the Bills, the guy from Atlanta was hurried. Those two guys were AWFUL today. Period. Sports or not. It was just surprising. And yeah, they could have done an hour on Craig Nall. Everyone bitching about Nall, would have been better than talking about downtown parking, whether college bball girls are hot enough to watch the sport, and if it's actually fun to go out on weekends in the city of Buffalo. Let's see, they could have done the NCAA tourney, the World Baseball Classic, or even Terrell Owens stuff. There was plenty of things to talk about on a fuggin Monday, that could have stirred up the good people of Buffalo. They stole the stations money today. At least in the last 1 1/2 hours they did. Flat out awful.
-
It has nothing to do with anti-Bills stuff. Simply put, the guys in the AM were friggin horrible. Seriously, coming off of a weekend too, they barely even talked sports today. I thought Schopp and the Bulldog were pretty decent this afternoon, but I can say this......if I was the station manager, and I heard the crap coming from my radio station that came through this morning, there would be two guys fired real quick. I heard two callers in an hour. One from Virginia, and one from Atlanta. They hurried the guy from Atlanta so they could talk about downtown parking. Unreal, especially for a Monday. I don't even care if they are anti-Bills. I'm not looking for company line, Bills Digest type crap either. Just some well informed local talk of my favorite NFL team would be nice. Hell, any kind of sports talk would have been nice this morning.
-
I hear you on that stuff too. However, these guys aren't even good at that. I didn't laugh once today. I mean, seriously.....from what I heard this morning, it's just garbage. Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutal today. Still glad it's streaming, but they are seriously bad.
-
That's what I was gonna ask next....does it even get any better in the PM? Is Brad Riter any good? I mean, my god, our radio guys in Richmond are better, and we don't have any pro sports around, outside what is in DC. These two clowns are unreal in the morning. Again, what a letdown. And they rushed the last Bills caller off the air, to talk about downtown parking. Yeah, this is great stuff. Unreal.
-
Look, I'm as happy as anyone that WGR is streaming. But seriously, Howard Simon and Jeremy White are fuggin BRUUUUUUUUUUUUTAL. I was so excited about getting to listen this morning. Do they even get anyone to call? I mean, they took one caller in the last hour. I mean, seriously, they have talked about NOTHING. We'll have to see what's on tonight, but my god, these two guys are pretty much worthless. It's like they don't even prepare. They just shoot at the hip and their thoughts are all scattered. I understand they have the market cornered up there, but that doesn't make them any good. UGH. What a letdown today. And this, from me, who isn't usually a WGR basher. I love Bills pre and post game stuff when I come up for games. But seriously, living in Virginia, I was so excited, and this is just pure garbage.

Here was a quote from a recent Sporting News
Lv-Bills replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When your team is rebuilding, and you need an offensive line, and young, talented offensive are available........you go get them. Period. Then, add guys like we have added. We could have had stud offensive lineman, AND these guys that we have added. -
Most of our FA signings are built for speed.

LOL. Under-rated? Ummm no. -
anyone know how interview w/ Fabini is goin?
Lv-Bills replied to billsfan182's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
on anything? Just wondered. He's about as popular with Jets fans as we were with Fina when he turned 30 something. Anyone? -
have been setting records that last couple of years? I mean, why is he working so hard adding all these players to our special teams?
-
I mean, he's kind of a household name.....Fabini. So, I see it on here, and I'm thinking......OK......maybe this isn't bad. And then I call him............and he is ecstatic to get rid of him. I mean giddy. This is a guy who bets on everything he can and goes to a lot of Jets games. Those guys usually can tell you some pretty good info. And he's giddy to get rid of him. Not good. Not that this guy runs the team or anything, but he usually has a good pulse on what's going on with the Jets. UGH! We're officially picking through the scraps now.
-
Called my best friend on the way home from work today. He's a huge Jets fan. We've been going to both the game in Buffalo and New York for about the last 13, only missing two in New Jersey. I asked him about Fabini.............And his response was......"Oh god yes, please tell me you guys signed him" He repeated it over and over and over. Followed about 10 times with he's fuggin horrible. Great, I felt so much better after that.

How can I even make a rebuttal? We are talking about Craig Friggin Nall. A 3rd string QB on a bad Packers team. A soon to be retread from two coaching staffs. A kid who had to transfer just to be able to start on a bad college team. Now, if this stooge is brought in here and CAN compete for our starting job at all, we are worse than the 3-13 team I think we are. Why are we even talking about Craig Nall, when this team is a complete and utter mess? I mean seroiusly. This is another Non-factor player that is being brought in here while the lines go almost completely unaddressed? It's Craig Nall for god's sakes. A player with about 11 college games under his belt. Can I get a lineman for god's sakes.
-
Based on what? Didn't I just state what I based it on. If he's that good, why did Green Bay draft someone else? Sherman didn't want him in Green Bay. And now, with a supposed QB guru as head coach, the new regime is willing to let him walk also. I would say those are clues.
-
Because he pretty much sucks? He wasn't even thought of as good enough to groom for Favre's replacement by Sherman in GB. Now, I guess the new regime, with their supposed QB guru head coach is willing to let him leave too. Yeah, he sounds like a real winner.
-
So high in fact that they used a first rounder, I believe, on Aaron Rodgers at QB. Again, why? Why even bother worrying about a 3rd string QB when we really haven't spent any of our money on anyone worth a damn. If we are down to our third string QB, either the poor line crippled our other two QB's OR Holcomb or Losman were that bad. Either way, it's not good. And the beat goes on.

Interesting Bills Report Article
Lv-Bills replied to DevilsAlum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When did this start happening? -
OMG! The Browns are going to be SO much better.
Lv-Bills replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, not really. It's all relative. They Browns sucked ass last year. They definately got better with these players. However, this division is finally good from top to bottom. Sadly for them, with how good Cincy, Pitt, and Balt are, the Browns may still finish last, but will be much improved over where they were. This is by far, now, the best divsion in football. -
This is all great and all, but it's also conjured up by watching too much ESPN. Because everyone seems to forget the Pats went out and got Corey Dillon, Rodney Harrison, Brandon Gorin, Richard Seymour, Rosey Colvin, among others did they not? I'm sure there are more. Matter of fact, I'd bet my ass on it, but I'm not a Pats fan, so I don't know the particulars. However, these were all established studs when they were acquired. And if I'm not mistaken, Dillon and Harrison were both "whiners" with their previous teams. So, my only question is.....when do we go out and do that too?
