I admire your love for the Bills, but man, seriously, you have to get a grip. Even further breaking down this "new coaching staff" thing you have harping about....well....it's Dick fuggin Jauron for god's sakes. I mean, seriously. Dick Jauron. He's a perennial loser. Doesn't mean he won't be any good, but he doesn't deserve the benefit of doubt at this point, he needs to SHOW us the benefit of having him as the coach to represent the Bills. And no, this HAS NOT been a good team for a long time now. In the 9-7 year, and under Mularkey and TD, they had beaten almost ZERO teams with winning records or with marquee records. The run in 2004 was a fluke based on an incredibly easy schedule. They were smoked by backups, at home, for a chance to make the playoffs. They had done nothing in the three years previous, or the year after 2004. It is a bad team....plain and simple. They haven't really done jack to address any weaknesses, and they have cap room. This season reeks already. It also seems to lack a clear and concise plan. It's disheartening.....and the Bills have fallen mightily. It's really a bummer. If Marv is clearing cap space to help out in the future, just tell us. But for people to be convinced we are a better team now than before is just plain laughable. And here's the kicker....we were already bad before. I'm open to Marv being great. But as of right now, his direction seems to lack having a plan. If it's to get younger and start over, just state that. But his lack of addressing issues on the lines flat out stink. We now have a team full of backup TE's along with about 8 #2 WR's, and 3 backup QB's. Oh boy am I excited.

Because who the hell do we even have that they could market? Arizona has Edge, two awesome receivers, Warner and a new stadium. New Orleans has Katrina...like anyone really cares anymore, but nonetheless.....Green Bay has Favre, and let's face it, he's fun to watch......New York has a market..... We have a sped, 3rd stringer, and career journeyman in the hunt for our QB job. A #1 WR who catches about 40 balls a year. A running back who dogs it for about 50% of every game he plays in. No lines, and hurt superstar in Spikes. And yeah, I believe, Buffalo, Tennessee, Detroit and someone else isn't playing on primetime TV this season. I think I read that somewhere. Face it, our team is abysmal. King is dead on correct.
-
LOL. Just what did he say that is so bad? This will be mild. I was listening to sports talk radio today on the way in, and they were trying to determine which teams in the NFL have absolutely no chance to get one of the flex primetime spots. Needless to say, the Bills were mentioned with San Fran and New Orleans as three teams that shouldn't even think that any of the country wants to see their teams. Great. Just great.
-
They were 9-7 because they played a bunch of high school teams in the run they made. And then were manhandled by a good team's backups at home. Big upside for Nall huh? Yet they felt compelled to take a QB in the first round? Craig Nall, is that you? Come on man, just come out....we need a celeb on the board. Hell, you'll actually become a fan fave. Is that you Craig?

NE's 1st opponent after their bye week is....
Lv-Bills replied to bobblehead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Along with the 7 man rotation at #2 WR. Think we can spread it out with just Nall taking a shotgun snap from Fowler and Willis beside them, and go 8 wide??? I can hear it from Murph now....... "Nall from the shotgun with Mcgahee.....Evans, Fast Freddy, Davis, Parrish and Reed to the left. Smith, Aiken, and Royal split to the right....." "Draw play to Willis, gain of 2. What a crafty call to try to get Willis some room." -
Are some of you people kidding me? LMAO It's even a laugh that some of you people have us winning in Chicago. This might be the NFL, throw away the key to the woodshed, most durable, April lock of the year, ever. This is a classic Bills game where they will go on the road, and get absolutely dominated by the Bears defense. We'll lose field position early in the game, and slowly get beat into the ground. Could even be a game where Rex Grossman would post stats like 8-14, 132 yards, and we'll still get pummeled like 27-3. I just don't get how some people can't see that this is Greggo's first year all over again. It doesn't even boggle my mind that some of you are blind to the fact that our team sucks, it's the fact that you can't realize that most all other teams have flew past us. Hello people, we are one of the worst teams in the league. On paper, on the field, whatever.....it doesn't matter, we are bad. Everyone else counts us as a win on their schedule.

A few TBD tailgate/ticket details
Lv-Bills replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope. I love seeing the people around my season tickets. It's like a year re-union on opening day. Life would be so good if we just had a football team to go with opening day. -
If you look at our schedule in the past, it's been relatively easy to predict. Unless a player like Bledsoe goes against the Pats or something with a story line. When we aren't in a storyline, we get crap in the opener. If we play at home on opening day, outside of a national TV appearance, we'll play the opponent (most times) that is the least exciting to Buffalo fans. The game, just like last year against Houston, is sure to sell out no matter who the opponent is. If you put that Houston game at the end of the season last year, they would have only sold 50,000 seats. If it's on the road, I'm sure we'll play a marginal team on opening day. We are, most likely, the crappiest draw on everyone else's schedule too. So, we'll play on opening day in a city that wouldn't sell our game late in the year should their team not have a good season. Guess: Home - Tennessee at Buffalo Away - Buffalo at Detroit

Fairweather fans: Get out of here.
Lv-Bills replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL. Ummmm, yeah. We've been in cloudy conditions so long, I'd actually welcome any kind of fair-weather we could get. Can anyone even remember the last fair-weather conditions the Bills have experienced? You've inspired me personally so much, that I'm off to the pro shop to pick up my Robert Royal or Matt Bowens jerseys. Oh wait, they don't have any, they must be sold out of them. Excitement must be running so high that Bills fans just can't contain themselves long enough to keep them on the shelves. Well, either that, or, well, ummm yeah. This is the time to B word and moan, IMO. The last time we actually had good, competitive teams, we had people that wanted to do nothing but tear them down.....I.E. the Flutie era. Now THAT, is when a lecture would have been warranted. This crap that people try to justify now is what miffs alot of us. I don't even need a 12-4 team. Hell, I'd take a 6-10 that improves during the year. We can't even get that. Gimmie a break. -

I counter with..... Jen Carfagno I'm looking for a better one now. In the Yellow. -
Oh, I don't know, for some stupid reason I see 3-13 written all over this. Minnesota bad? Please. There's no way we win at Baltimore. They were very improved at the end of last season. If Houston ends up with Bush and Moulds, we could easily be in trouble there. I mean.........turn this thing around.......and I guarantee you that fans of other teams have Buffalo penciled in as an automatic W for them this upcoming season. Easy? I don't think it looks easy at all. Matter of fact, the more you look at it, the tougher it seems to get. The only teams I see on here that are a good bet to suck for sure are the Jets, Tennessee, and maybe Detroit.

Oh damn, I forgot all about her, because she's usually just on weekends now, and special assignments. DAMN. I think she's bangin' Jim Cantore on the side anyway. lol But yeah, I'd have Abrams in there at #3. HUUUUUGE oversight. -

Is she really? I didn't know that. That's awesome. She's smoking hot. And yes, We are PENN STATE! -
Weather Channel Girls (1 being the best) 1. Jen Carfagno - Sexy, Cute, Young and Glowing. 2. Hillary Andrews - Hot with just a dash of trash in her. 3. Heather Tesch - Sophisticated, Calm, and MILFY. 4. Jennifer Lopez - The most underused and under-rated. 5. Alexandra Steele - Just looks like she would tear you apart in the sack. My Top 5, in what is easily the most under-rated channel on TV for hot chicks.

If this was high school, or college football, we'd be appearing on a lot of teams homecoming schedules. And if it was late in the year, we'd be the "Senior Day" opponent as well. There's always next, next year.
-
Wow, interesting. I never heard of that until now. If this is true, I wonder who they'll feed us to on the road this year?
-
I think it's great. Hell yeah. Pretty obvious what they did. They have an East Coast game starting at 7 pm. Thats fuggin awesome, because most people can watch the whole game before ten o'clock. And to take out the complaints about the west coast not being home from work in time to watch MNF, they've added a west coast based game between two western time zone teams. I seriously doubt that a late 10:15 game will hardly ever feature a team from the EST zone. This is awesome. Plus it makes for even more teams to be on TV on the opening Sunday. I hope a 2nd MNF West Coast game will become a staple. You'll never see the Bills vs. Jets for instance in that late time slot. 14 of 32 teams will be on national TV the opening weekend. Better chances for the Bills to nab some primetime games. Well, as soon as the team isn't built around guys like Robert Royal and co. they will be. WOOHOO.
-
WGR is HOT today baby. ALL BILLS this afternoon. Pretty much ripping on the Bills direction thus far. Actually, talking about the QB on the Bills. But it's nice. Passion, callers, opinions. ME LIKE ALOT.
-
I hope Marv realizes this. I'm not sure. It definately wasn't his frist priority and that's a little scary to me. Active for D-Lineman? Why tried to get one starter, and he went somewhere else. I'm not confident in the Bills direction anymore....but I think alot of that has to do with Tom Donahoe. I think all of us want to believe in Marv, so we are going to give him time. However, at this point, it looks like we are still directionless. At least we know Marv is a Buffalo Bill at heart, so, we can depend on him trying to do whatever he can to right this sinking ship.
-
WHOA there. I love how people try to act like fans can't tell good players from bad. LOL Absolutely hilarious. TD seemed to have a hard time telling good from bad. Does that make him a fan? Well yeah, thank god, it actually kind of does. It's football, not brain surgery. But I digress.....let's take the same descripitions for the above players and use facts, not opinion....... Bowen, who started for Washington, got hurt, and was let go as Washington felt the needed to go out and sign free agents to take his place. If he was so productive, why were the Skins willing to part with him? Nall, who sat behind one of the greatest QB's off all time, and whose same team went out and drafted another QB in the first round of the draft as their heir to Favre. How good could he have been? This guy had to transfer to a crappy school just to get playing time his senior year in college. Let's be realistic with this guy. He is 3rd string fodder. Triplett, who was indeed a full time starter in Indy until they came to the conclusion that they needed Corey Simon as a run stopper on their defense to make them a legit super bowl contender. Triplett was forced out of a starting role because he sucks against the run. What were the Bills against the run last season? Ummm yeah, kind of troubling. And Royal. LOL Big Bob Royal. By all indications his blocking seems to be above average which is good. He single handedly cost Washington a win last year, and had the dropsies to the point where they stopped throwing to him. That's actually when Cooley turned into a pass catching fool. Maybe Royal can help block, but here's a novel idea, how about going out and getting a lineman for god's sake.
