  1. LA will be fine. It's just a popular thing to say. I guarantee LA will be fine next time they get a team. I mean, the Raiders don't get support in Oakland. Maybe that actually has something to do with the teams fan base, not playing in LA. LA will be fine next time they get a team. I'd be willing to bet they'll have a long waiting list for season tix also.
  2. Yes I do. It doesn't seem to hurt college football. You could argue right now that their are 8 benched QB's in the NFL better than all three of ours. I'm sure there is other talent out there at other postions. College football is played at a high level every Saturday. I hate the diluted player pool excuse. I don't really think it holds water.
  3. 1. Bingo 2. True, but also more chances at playoff games. The playoffs would have to expand just a tad.
  4. I never really liked NFL divisions only having four teams in them. I personally like them better with 5. To me, it seems like with four teams, too much of the win loss record is biased based on competition from outside the division. I personally would love to see the NFL go to 40 teams with 5 teams in each division. I think there are ample cities out there that are able to support NFL teams. In my opinion, I would like to see teams in: Los Angeles (2) - Once the NFL goes back there, it'll work. Especially in new stadiums and with how far the league has come. It's popularity is off the charts and, IMO, even though people bash the LA football market, every game will be sold out in both places, as long as it's not the ghetto. San Antonio - They showed they could adopt and support the Saints on short notice. They'd do fine with an NFL team also. Would take some time to uproot some feelings about the Cowboys, but they'd get it done eventually. Las Vegas - Growing area. Big time glamour. I'm not sure why everyone is so scared of putting a team here. Corruption can occur anywhere, at any time, and by any method. This is a big money area, and a team would thrive here. Toronto - I don't think this would hurt the Bills one bit. It would be even better if they were in Buffalo's division. In down years, each teams fan base would fill the other teams stadium for both games. Even though Canadians seem to be a decent fan base for the Bills, if the Bills field competitive teams, the stadium will fill in Orchard Park. Calgary - One other city to get an NFL in to International territory. Maybe this could even be Mexico City? But Calgary is just like an American city and would fit in to the NFC nice and make a good rival to Seattle. Norfolk - IMO, this is one of the biggest untapped markets in the country. When you drive across the Norfolk, Hampton, Va Beach, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and even Williamsburg up to the Richmond areas......it is full of money and population. If the Tidewater area was one city, which it should be, it is like a major metropolis. Not only is there money in VA, it's growing at outrageous rates. If Buffalo can house an NFL team, believe me, the Tidewater area is in much better shape than the city of Buffalo economically. Portland - Seems the Portland market is clamoring for another team. Their NBA team seems to do well and they are always mentioned in baseball. I don't know much about Portland, so maybe I'm off on this one. Radical - Yeah Kinda. But I think it would be cool to introduce a few new markets, along with LA, and Canada. I think it would be cool. I would also re-draw the divisions. Just a thought!
  5. What a bunch of horseshit. These guys make me sick. There is no way in hell, there is another team in the league worse than us. Where do these people come up with this crap?
  6. Not these friggin guys. I mean established vets to still help out.....maybe on the O-line or D-Lines?
  7. You didn't ruffle my feathers at all. But Ridgeway's QB's, especially three years ago were awful. They were so bad his 2nd year, they had a local High School Walk-On take over the job about 4 games in. This football program was a mess when Ridgeway was there, which makes his on the field accomplishments even better. He came out for the draft early because of the state of BSU's program. He was widely known and regarded as the conferences #1 WR by far, even though BSU doesn't even play in a passing offense. They are alot more balanced now that former Michigan coach Brady Hoke has taken over, but what Ridgeway accomplished was unreal. But anyway, Watts is a perfect example of a MAC WR. He pretty much is a zero in the NFL that will get replaced when a team has better depth at the position. The MAC has developed some great QB's, and alot of solid offensive lineman and special teams skill players in recent years. WR's are not the conferences strong suit. You have to figure that with Big Ben, Omar Jacobs, Bruce Gradkowsi and some of the other elite MAC offenses, no WR's have really caught on with anybody from any of those teams. Nance will be another guy cut during camp, and he might get a chance on another team then will disappear. Switching subjects though......where did Gradkowski end up?
  8. Ummmmmmmmmm, Ridgeway was one of four WR's up for the Biletnikoff (SP?) award, was actually invited to that ceremony at the college awards show, and was drafted. If you know the MAC at all, you would know Dante Ridgeway was the premiere WR in the league. Hands down. The MAC has sent some good football players to the pros. However, their WR's hardly ever pan out. I guess Randy Moss would be considered a MAC WR, but the only reason he was in the MAC, at the time, was because of behavior problems. Other than Moss, Ridgeway was one of the MAC's most acclaimed WR's ever.
  9. It's the MAC for god's sakes. And I went to Ball State, so I'm a MAC fan, but cmon. Depsite playing with Big Ben, Nance wasn't even the best WR in the MAC. Dante Ridgeway caught over 90 passes once, and caght 107 passes once for Ball State at the same time Nance was playing, despite BSU being one of the worst teams in the country in Division 1. Ridgeway was a big time playmaker, the best WR in the MAC two years running, hands down, and was actually drafted and cut by the Rams. He has since been picked up by the Jets and I think is in danger of not making the roster this season. If Ridgeway couldn't do it, I have a hard time thinking Nance can. I hope Nance can, I love it when MAC guys succeed, but Nance was no where near Ridgeway, despite playing with Big Ben and that great Miami OH offense.
  10. I betcha Max997 could have not gotten us in the playoffs the last 7 years. That I do know for sure. Going by that.... Max997 = TD
  11. How have they done recently with this confidence of yours? That's all I want to know. If you can give me something even remotely intelligent, I'll stop questioning what they do.
  12. Well, you still can't seem to lend any help to us morons by explaining what happens to the "big bad professionals" when they screw up like the Bills brass has for the last, ohhhhhhhhhhhh, decade maybe?
  13. Oh, thanks for the tip, because I could have swore that you expect a decent return on your investment in the real world. In the NFL, you invest in season tickets, and you expect the team you invest in, would use that money as wise as possible. To me, that doesn't seem like it's occuring the last 7 or so years. For 29 of the 32 teams, in the last seven years, they have gotten return at least once. For 3 others, nothing. To me, that's a little alarming. That's when it's time for people to prove themselves worthy of my money. You betcha.
  14. Oh, and here I just thought that being employed by an NFL team automatically makes you a football genius. At least, that was inferred in your post. I just wondered what happened to Tom Donahoe. He didn't seem overly bright to me when putting players together to FIT HIS SYSTEM. Or the guy from the Bengals in the 90's, or the Cardinals, or the Browns or, or, or, or, or, or...... But yeah, hey, they work for an NFL team, so they know soooo much more than here. Obviously some of them really don't apparently. Ask the Steelers how much they miss Tom Donahoe about now.
  15. What was it that you hated? His stellar job in turning around our franchise?
  16. LMAO. We're not worthy, we're not worthy. How did TD assemble players that FIT HIS SYSTEM? I guess he should have just been a dumb fan on this message board all along huh? After all, he didn't seem to know all that much.
  17. FSU also shut people down a good bit of the year last season. NC State didn't. And their schedule was no where near FSU's. And 6-5 is also different than 8-4. I'm starting to think these NC State lineman are reaches or just combine type stars.
  18. Yes, no doubt, but with three first round lineman, I would expect dominance out of that unit. If they were that good, they should have carried your defense. Your linebackers should have run free, and your secondary, you would think, would have been ballhawkers, feeding off of the pressure created up front. Something isn't right. And like I said, NC State's schedule was pretty easy. Just doesn't add up. I don't get it.
  19. Yes, this I agree with. This is at least objective though, instead of entirely defending everything the Bills do. Because for the better part of seven years, it has been garbage. But yeah, I'm on board with you now......it still doesn't feel real good today though! The pissing and moaning is the culmination of 7 years and counting, not jsut today!
  20. You also played a ridiculously easy schedule. The ACC offenses were, in general, terrible last year........but yet....... Wake Forest hung 27 on you guys Boston College hung 30 on you - By the way, they have a big O-Line Clemson - 31 North Carolina - 31 Southern Miss - 17 Not exactly awe inspiring. And these teams aren't exactly college football's elite. Troublesome to say the least! All of those points with three first round draft choices??? Something is wrong here. Two of the three have bust written all over them. Hope not, but you gotta wonder.
  21. No, not at all, I started bitching when they hired him and DJ. Not exactly the twosome that anyone, EVER, would have chosen. The Bills in general have inspired the bitching. And it would have been better to be creative to get out of the #8 to get Whitner, than to be creative at #20 plus to get McCargo. The carpet has been pulled and won't go back until this franchise does something correct for a change. And I don't mean being the 4th best website in sports or whatever the hell it was. Gimmie some guys who can play football for a change. Since 1999, who is it again.....Houston, Arizona and the Bills I think? Elite company huh? Could be wrong, but I know for sure we are one of the three, and not really considered on the rise.
  22. Of course not, but they coulda had Bunkley at #8 and Mangold with the Bears trade! No way to tell yet, but that pair sounds better than McCargo and Whitner. Time will tell.
  23. Hope so, but seriously, someone is over-rated.....at least.
  24. Seriously, my best friend, a Jets fan, and I said the same thing today. How in the fugg was NC State's record only 6-5 in the ACC if they had three dominant, first round picks, on the defensive line, in the NFL draft? Something isn't right. Two out of three of these NC State guys have bust written all over them. Maybe not, but cmon, you certainly could make an assumption.
