Sorry. One of the things that my fiance and I did talk about though, was getting this car and people steroetyping as as snob-ass richies, and that's the far from the case. That seriously came up. But oh well. It's fun to drive. Rip away. -

I think a Passat is in the family section Gavin. You're OK. lol But, it wouldn't hurt, if it was a Jetta, or Cabrio, to throw that carseat in there, if you are driving it! -

6 cylinder, 333 HP. It's a manual. The car was damaged at her dealership. Car detailers sideswiped it, and wrecked into the car, damaging the right front quarter and door. They fixed it at the dealership and used it as their business car for about 5,500 miles. She sold the car to me for 29K. It's not the premium package, but it's somewhere in the middle I guess. So, between an SUV that we were gonna buy, or this, my future wife and I thought it would be cool to have this for a little while, before we have kids. It looks brand new, it's still under warranty, and if she's telling me the truth, its about 15-18K off of would it would cost on the lot. Don't know. All I know is I like it. -

My dad used to run the paint department at Subaru in Indiana. He used to get Subaru Legacies (Not the station wagons) to drive all the time. I think we had that thing up to about 110 - 115 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike one time. I'm not sure if they are still in existance, but those things used to move pretty good. -

Actually no, I'm cool there too. I'm not rich by any means.....sans my Hyundai as my real car. But I hear ya. Don't hate, I just wanted a nice car for once. I'm not sure I can keep making payments though.....little much. Thank god for an upcoming marriage and two incomes. -

Seriously man, you can't beat it. Look it up in almost every car magazine and it's rated in the top three behind Accord and Camry. Last year, I believe consumer reports had it #1. Couple of friendly points to consider...... It's still Hyundai, so they are trying to build their reputation. Use this to your advantage. Go in there, and haggle big time on price. Mention that it's down to Accords, Camry's and the Sonata. You'll be able to get them to move big time on the sticker price, and even your trade. They are trying to build reputation, so use that to your advantage. If you look around, at least in VA, there are Sonata's all over the road now. So, I would say the word is out that the car is reliable. I love mine so far. I actually only got the 4 cylinder, instead of the 6, and it pulls the car great. I wanted better gas mileage. I get in the 30's with the 4 cylinder. The 6 cylinder Sonata, has a ton of power for the car, and that's the one rated top notch. I drove that one too, and loved it. The price is about 7-10K lower than the Accord, and Camry, yet has a better warranty, is bigger inside, comes with more options, and is rated pretty much on par. I would highly recommend it. At least, so far. And when I speak of the Sonata, I'm talking about the new 2006 model. It's a big change from 2005. Good Luck! -

Dude, you're so off, it's not even funny. It's cool though, and I know what you mean. I grew up in Pittsburgh. Love the Pirates, Pens and Penn State. HOWEVER, being a huge sports fan that I am, one could never get tickets to Steeler games because the whole stadium is season tickets. So, unless you know someone I lived there, but really could never go. So, I hopped on that Bills bandwagon in the early 80's. And believe me, I'm an oddball in my family. They ALL like Pittsburgh. I've been to countless Pens and even Pirates playoff games. As well as a ton of Penn State football games. But, when you move to VA, and have Bills season tickets, and spend money galore on game-room stuff, traveling, and all of the other Bills crap, the NHL and MLB have become secondary to me. So, on top of that, the Hurricanes are not far from here, their crowd is awesome and their prices are cheap. I've been sitting in Row B from the glass of both of their playoff runs down here for like $65 a pop in rounds 1 and 2, and about 125 to 165 for the finals games. I can sit in the upper deck in the first two rounds of playoff hockey for about $20. So, while I love playoff hockey, why not go and root for them? It's fun. When the Pens are back in the playoffs, I'll be good. I saw the Pens play twice in Carolina this season, and rooted for Pittsburgh obviously. But since I've had a great time in Carolina, I have developed a soft spot for them. I could never do that for an NFL team. Hell, just to come to Buffalo to watch them, I have about 6 other NFL teams that are closer to me. I hope the Canes win this series. I want to go to Cup games again. If Buffalo wins though, I'll be happy for all of you here. It's no harder than that. My team is out, I'm enjoying the sport. And judging by the ratings for hockey, the sport could use a ton more hockey fans like me. I don't think anyone is really complaining. I like playoff hockey. My team isn't in it. -

LOL, I think you are good. You're on the verge of a family car. Or maybe even a business car. You're ok. I don't think one would actually expect a hot chick to be in a Galant. It would be a nice surprise, but not expected. -

DUDE, Miata is a GREAT one. Not that your others aren't great, but Miata....HELL YES. Saturns yes. And you are correct on the Neon too. If any dude is caught owning a Neon as his own ride, he should be castrated or sent to Canada! lol -

I like to look at it more as....A guy from Pittsburgh, who moved to an area of the country where I can actually have a very good life, who is a big Bills fan, and who now cheers for the Canes in the playoffs because it's close, I love playoff hockey, their tix are cheap, and yes, my Pens aren't in the playoffs. Get over it man. GO CANES! As soon as the Canes win the cup, or when they play the Pens, I'll be back to normal. Until then, enjoy life my friend, after all, it's only the NHL, and we all know football is pretty much all that counts anyway. It's almost impossible to hate the Canes, as you've seen by a number of other EX-WNY'ers. Why the hell would it bother you so much that I have adopted a local team to root for, while mine is out? Oh yeah, I'm from Pittsburgh, and only have lived in Richmond for about 7 years now. I rooted for hometown (Richmond) Elliott to make it through Idol last night too. Is that allowed? I don't want to do something I shouldn't though. -

LMAO...............you've provided me with a whole new group of drivers out there that I didn't really know existed. Jesus....this is something entirely new now. So, let me ask someone.......when a Forrester comes by and my fiance stares at it for more than 30 seconds, am I in trouble? Or, should I just flat out ask for a three-some and try to join in? -

If I may gentleman, back to this for one second. While I'd have Abrams, probably #3 on the weather channel list, do you really think hers are that big? I'm guessing maybe 34 C or something close?!?!?!!? While a nice size, and in proportion, is that really considered big? -

Don't you talk to me like I'm in that Jetta "stereotyped" group. Not that there is anything wrong with that. -

LOL, I drive a silver,BMW, M3 coupe. My next door neighbor owns a car dealership, and SHE gave me a cool deal on one. Otherwise I'd never be able to afford it. However, I also have a Hyundai Sonata 2006 that will be my soon to be wife's as soon as we are married. She has a 1999 or something Dodge Stratus that I can't wait to send over a cliff somewhere. -

LOL, you either have no sense of humor or you are a dude with one of the vehicles I mentioned! Get a grip man, IT WAS A JOKE. Well, kinda anyway. -
..........I'm driving in to work in the morning, and I'm in stop and go traffic or rush hour traffic, I DO NOT want to see DUDES driving Volkswagen Jetta's. What are you, a fuggin sissy? Seriously, when I see a silver Jetta coming up behind me, I expect to see a MILF or hot chick in there, not some hairy fat-ass dropping Krispy Kreme doughnut crumbs all over his gut. I don't want to see some guy combing his hair in a black Jetta, or some middle aged dufus reading notes for work in a red Jetta. I want to see mildly to wildy dynamic, and hot, chicks. If you are a man, driving a Jetta, a Mitsubishi Eclipse, a VW Cabriolet, or even a Toyota Celica, get a fuggin grip and attach your nuts back to your body. Those are reserved for chicks, mostly hot, so that the rest of us can stare at them in the morning while playing with the NFL channel on Sirius satellite radio. I personally witnessed two examples of this in Richmond today, and it make me puke. Come on fellas, have you lost all dignity?
-
I've heard, multiple times on Sirius Sat Radio's NFL channel, by several different sources, that Charlie Whitehurst has looked awesome in almost everything he has done since leaving Clemson. He isn't even 100% yet, and I've heard about 5 scouts / GM types / sources, what have you, that have all said that Whitehurst looks like he may be a Trent Green type of steal at QB.

I used to agree with this, but I don't anymore. Jenn Carfagno is perfect wife (looks) material. She's that cute kinda hot. Hillary Andrews, on the other hand, is just that sleazy, kinda, I've got skeletons in my closet, kinda, hot. Abrams is toward the hot side.....but seriously, look at Hillary Andrews at night, and look how she dresses and stuff. Her face, body, hair......WOW. In a perfect world, it would be great to have Carfagno as a wife.....and Andrews as your business travel partner.....great for those "business trips" to LA or San Fran or wherever. -

Dude, I still think the Weather Channel chicks are smoking hot. Jenn Carfagno, and Hillary Andrews could start their own version of a younger desparate housewives. -
I hooked up with a season ticket holder in Carolina a few years back when the Canes made a run to the Stanley Cup finals. We got her to buy us 8 seats. We used 4 of them ourselves and sold the other four. For the Eastern Conference Finals, we used the 4 that were 3 rows from the glass, and sold the four that were in the bottom level, row 22. The face value on them were $65, and we sold them for $80 a piece. So, we made $60 per game. Here's the biggie. When they made the Stanley Cup Finals......we used the 4 seats 3 rows from the glass, and sold the other 4 in row 22. Face value on the four seats were $125. We sold two games, 8 tickets total to Detroit fans for $400 PER TICKET. We made $3,200 ($2700 profit) and paid for all of us to go the the Stanley Cup Finals games and then some. It sucked cuz we wanted to sell one more game, but the series was over in 5. You'll get your money easily, especially in the cup finals games, should the Sabres get there. I have the same setup this year in Carolina. I love going to the games, and use the other 4 seats to pay for my trip. If they make the finals, you get a great profit.
