  1. coached Bills team, and the best play calling we've had since the Marv Levy era. I'm dead serious. I was totally impressed with the coaches. Nice and calm. Looked like we had a plan. They didn't panic and abandon things. I like the nuts by Jauron on 4th and 1. I feel alot better about Jauron and Fairchild now. Alot. It seems Fewell is capable also. He just needs a talent infusion on the D-Line and some kids to grow up. We're on our way baby! Next Season - Wild Card Contender.
  2. Nah, I've been calling for him to be gone for about 2 yrs now. Most over-rated player in football. My only hope is that Rosenhaus makes a contract stink over him after this season and we can finally be rid of this moron with no game-breaking capability. I'm not saying Thomas is better than Willis-Cant-Thrillis....but why in the hell didn't he see the field again, after ripping off those three runs? If Willis is such a stud, it shouldn't be far fetched to think the Bills could get a first for him right? I'd take it in a heartbeat!
  3. Not really true.... "Strong possession guy" usually means.... More sure handed..... Better route runner.... Maybe a little bit smarter....(I.E.) when you need 10 for a first down, run 11 and come back to 10...this is also good route running though..... Not terrified to catch in traffic.... Correct, usually slower.... Combo of all these things. What you have when you have these and speed is a stud. MeShawn, when opposite of Steve Smith, is a good one.
  4. Lock of the Week - Hands Down.... Take Tennessee minus the 2 1/2 at home against the Jets. The Jets are brutal. To compound thier brutal-ness, they are young. To compound that even more they will start two rookies on the offensive line on the road. They have no deep threat on their WR corps and a limp arm QB. That spells disaster. I don't care who they are playing. Bet the house, kids, and your wife's new fake boobies on Tennessee to cover that. Easily. Then, tease Tennessee to plus 4 1/2 along with Arizona down to -1 and go buy yourself a new 52 inch plasma TV at Best Buy with your winnings and call me and thank me later. Good Luck!
  5. Just a quick rant......And I realize the entire NFL is like this. It's not bad enough the cost of this stuff is overpriced enough, but now let's rip people off on shipping also. So, I order a Mesh type pullover and a new T-shirt type thing for my fiance from the Bills pro shop today. TWO items (glorified T-shirts), and the cost of the UPS ground shipping is $13.00. To put that number in perspective, I just ordered 45 brand new football jerseys for a local youth league down here, and I paid a grand total of $4.80 to have them all shipped to us at once in one box. $4.80. What a joke. UGH.
  6. You got that right........hell Willis doesn't even know who's in our division, let alone being able to read or comprehend a schedule.
  7. 6 Words.... And then to Seductions and Sundowner
  8. May want to concede that it's finally time to upgrade to something like a 1994 Ford Tempo with 188,000 miles on it. The repairs on a Ford will be much more straight forward!
  9. Wow. Rueben Droughns must have had a super duper amazing year then. Cuz, this much and even that much more happened to Rubes and the Cleveland Browns last season. He was even better than Willis was. I must have been sleep walking through two of the most amazing performances in NFL history last season with Droughns and Willis. I'll be sure to pay more attention this season.
  10. 12 team league.... Would anyone here trade the #1 overall pick for another team's first and second rounder? So, I'd give up the #1 pick overall and #49 overall pick for the #9 pick overall and #15 overall. I'd end up having the #9, #15, #24, and #25 in the first three rounds, as opposed to where I stand now with the #1, #24, and #25. Is that worth doing???
  11. That would like to be in a fantasy football league? It's only $25. No extra costs. Draft is being held on Friday in the West End / Short Pump area. We currently have 14 teams, looking to push it to 16 to make teams dig deep onto rosters. The Draft is being held at a very nice facility, and should be a good time. If anyone is interested, give me a PM, and I'll detail ya!
  12. I'm not sure who is getting bashed here. My only point was that EM looked fat and slow in that game Sunday Night. I remember when Steeler fans said the same thing about Franco Harris when he ran for sidelines as soon as he got the ball late in his career for Seattle. No EM bashing meant. But, fat remains, he looked fat and slow. Period. I liked EM. Doesn't mean he can't look fat and slow now. lol He's a shell of his former self. I was kind of shocked to see how much he's actually lost. That's all. Hell, he's the only reason I tuned in to that game. I think the Bills made a wise choice in letting him go.
  13. No doubt about it baby. This, the same UDFA that everyone made out to be the next Michael Irvin. It was OK then I guess. I just wanted to talk some facts about a college football player, not about vaseline and kleenex. The Martin Nance myth is laid to rest. How was the shipping from Pakistan? Did you give the guy good feedback? And remember, wash the jersey in cold so it doesn't fade.
  14. So, I take this post to mean that you bought a Bills Nance jersey off of Ebay from some guy in Pakistan? It's OK man, he may still make the practice squad. There's hope!
  15. We'll see how much Jennings does this season. And Schieffler is a Tight End (who has had a great camp), not a wideout. The track record is there. I don't want someone telling me how much Jennings is going to play, I want to see proof. Until then, we'll see. I'm only talking about WR's, not any other position. If you go to any other position, the MAC can show results in the NFL. At WR, outside of Moss, it's pretty much zippo. And we all know Moss was only at Marshall because of his background.
  16. Yes, probably Spin. That's why their routes are always rounded off a bit instead of nice sharp breaks. They seem a little dizzy sometimes.
  17. HUH? I love the MAC. Just trying to debunk this Martin Nance myth. I was actually pissed off that Dante Ridgeway of Ball State didn't pan out in the pro's. My roommate in college plays for the Bears. Brad Maynard. He's a punter. To show you how bad the MAC was back then......92-97ish......Maynard was a punter, and a great one at Ball State, and was the conference player of the year. LOL, a conference player of the year.......and he was a punter. What does that say for the MAC back then? It's much better now, thankfully.
  18. Thank You. Damn, people get offended when an internet creation (Nance) makes everyone not look so brilliant after all. By they way.....the MAC opens up this Thursday......stay tuned for the next big time MAC wideout to start putting up numbers this Thursday. The cycle will continue.
  19. No, all I'm just sticking to the trusim that almost all of them are never skilled enough. To show people's ignorance of the MAC, you have a guy like Martin Nance. Nance was a good MAC wideout, but there have been a ton of WR's just as good, and a handful of wideouts much better than Nance that didn't make it. Nance had size over all of them. However, there have been better wideouts recently in the MAC that were better that didn't go anywhere in the pros. In all fairness, no one would really know this unless you came from a MAC school like a few of us. But there have been failed MAC wideouts in big numbers over the last five years. Nance is just another one. Up to this point, they have been second rate WR's compared to big conference wideouts. Everyone is acting shocked, but if you look around the league, all of the other MAC wideouts have pretty much been cut from their NFL teams over the last five years also. They don't pan out.
  20. And again, you're totally guessing based on nothing. Nance is out there with a week and half left until teams first games. Yeah, he could be on the practice squad. Matter of fact, I hope he is. However, if he's worth anything, he'll get picked up by someone. The only factual info out there is that he's not good enough. He's another long line of MAC wideouts with high catch numbers alongside a great QB in college, who isn't good enough to make it. Peters is another animal all together, with athleticism and from a major conference. Nance probably lacks skills to get open against highly talented defenders. Peters never lacked that skill. He was just without a position initially.
  21. I'm not criticizing the conference for what it is. I actually played baseball in the MAC. And, in fact, I'm an avid supporter for MAC football. It was just kind of laughable though in what people made of Nance. The MAC has excellent and innovative offensive coaches. They have had a run of fantastic QB's. However, there WR's have been second rate for a long time. When the wideouts do get a chance in the pro's, they haven't been able to make the leap. Now, all of a sudden, Nance was going to do it with the Bills when the MAC's most dominant WR since Randy Moss was drafted a year earlier and couldn't stick with the Rams or Jets? I love the MAC, and it's actually better than people think it is. Especially the top tiered teams. Bowling Green, Miami, Toledo, Northern Illinois have all been top 30 college programs in recent years. If you sleep on the top tiered MAC teams, you'll lose games. And a lot of big time programs have lost to the upper MAC teams. However, the skill positions on offense, and the bottom tiered MAC teams like Buffalo, Kent, Ball State, and Eastern Michigan are horrid. You have to be careful who you give hype to. But, the track record for MAC wideouts is long and tested.....they don't make it in the NFL.
  22. Yeah, ok. So, you don't think other teams have GM's or assistants or scouts who scour the waiver wire the minute they come out? I'm not saying the Bills won't get Nance back.....however, if someone likes Nance, he'll be scooped up by tomorrow. This, the Bills are "sneaking" him through theory is about as far fetched as Nance becoming the Bills next tall redzone target.
  23. Isn't it though? I'll take it. We had a Miami of Ohio homer or Alum or student or something in here, telling me how good Nance was back right after the draft. Insisting that Nance was by far superior to any other WR in the MAC, despite a player named Dante Ridgeway from Ball State catching over 100 balls and being invited to the college football awards as a finalist for the Biletnikoff award. I explained at the time, that MAC WR's, even Ridgeway, never make it. Never. That includes all of Pennington, Leftwich, Culpeppers, Gradkowski's, Frye's, Omar Jacobs and Josh Harris' WR's too. Not to mention Ridgeway, who was drafted and cut by SL before joining and being cut by NY. The only exception, was pretty much Randy Moss. MAC skill positions, outside of QB, rarely ever pan out in the NFL. They have put a few backup RB's in the league, but rarely WR's outside of Randy Moss. Nance was a big time internet creation. Sorry, I was just frustrated at the Miami dude.
  24. MAC WR's don't do squat in the NFL. The TBD "experts" whiffed big time on all the Martin Nance theories. Again, MAC WR's never make it in the NFL. And Nance wasn't even the best in the conference even when Big Ben was there. Now, QB's......and special teamers from the MAC......now that's a different story. But Nance........."Swing and a miss, strike three"
