  1. Path to the Draft. It is a 1/2 hour show on at 6:30pm but re-runs at 9:30pm. Total Access does the state of the franchise but they seem to be going from best start to worst and they just did Denver last night so they will probably be to the Bills in a couple weeks.
  2. Don't be suprised if the Redskins make a play for Carr. I know they have Campbell but you know how Snyder likes those high draft picks that do not live up to potential.
  3. Never mind. Found a link... http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10078226
  4. For what? Their 1st rounder this year?
  5. This was his group at the combine...out of 34 LB's in the group only 14 had the same or worse. Beason had 19 Not that I don't think that 22 is a lot and I would love this guy on the Bills but I remember watching some combine coverage on NFL Network and they were talking about it as a lower score. Jonathan Abbate Wake Forest 26 Rufus Alexander Oklahoma 25 Antwan Barnes Florida Int. 31 Jon Beason Miami (Fla.) 19 Desmond Bishop Cal-Berkeley 33 Quincy Black New Mexico 24 H.B. Blades Pittsburgh 22 Stewart Bradley Nebraska 28 Prescott Burgess Michigan 19 Quinton Culberson Mississippi St. 18 James Davis Florida St. 24 Zak Deossie Brown 26 Justin Durant Hampton 25 Earl Everett Florida 19 David Harris Michigan 23 Nate Harris Louisville 26 Rory Johnson Mississippi 19 Zach Latimer Oklahoma 19 Marvin Mitchell Tennessee 22 Stephen Nicholas South Florida 29 Chad Nkang Elon 23 Michael Okwo Stanford 20 Sam Olajubutu Arkansas 24 Blair Phillips Oregon 23 Paul Poslusky Penn St. 22 Dallas Sartz Southern Cal 20 Tim Shaw Penn St. 26 Juwan Simpson Alabama 15 Kelvin Smith Syracuse 26 Tony Taylor Georgia 26 Lawrence Timmons Florida St. 25 Justin Warren Texas A&M 16 Anthony Waters Clemson 25 Patrick Willis Mississippi 22
  6. Actually, the real knock on him was strength. I think he benched less than most RB's and a few QB's
  7. Honestly I would not mind at all if the Bills got any of these players in the first round at #12. I am trying to be realistic with who I think they actually will have a shot at in the 12 spot so I have negelcted some of the top 5 (in no particular order)... 1. Adrian Peterson- Bills need a starting back 2. Alan Branch- 1 Technique who would play the nose (hey, we need one of those) 3. Leon Hall- Clements replacement 4. Patrick Willis- Can leave Crowell on the strong side (something tells me Takeo will be gone) 5. Amobi Okoye- PFW ripped him a new one, 3 technique which we seem to be stacked at. 6. Ted Ginn Jr.- Would help our running game because defenses would play deep for him and Lee. 7. Marshawn Lynch- Only other 1st round talent. Catches passes (ie A-train in the Houston game) 8. Dwayne Bowe- Big Physical wideout who is a perfect compliment to what we have. 9. Greg Olsen- This guy can open the offense up. We can use double TE with our blocker (Royal) on the other side. No FB needed. 10. Levi Brown- That would be a killer line. 11. LaRon Landry- I know we don't really need a safety but this guy is too good. 12. Jamaal Anderson- DE rotation would be sick. 13. Chris Houston- Getting better by the day. Maybe his stock rose too quick.
  8. Also figured to add this stat... Over the past 5 drafts here is an average of what the RB's gained in their rookie year. Round 1- 14 chosen- 619 yards average in 1st year. Round 2- 10 chosen- 338 yards Round 3- 10 chosen- 198 yards Round 4- 19 chosen- 184 yards Round 5- 4 chosen- 56 yards Round 6- 11 chosen- 0 yards Round 7- 19 chosen- 0 yards
  9. ESPN in their draft magazine does percentages of starting players last year by round... Of the 34 starting RB's last year here is the breakdown... Round 1- 47% Round 2- 25% Round 3- 16% Round 4- 3% Round 5- 0% Round 6- 3% Round 7-0% UFA- 6% I would strongly consider Peterson or Lynch considering that everyone else in the RB class is mentione another 30 some picks away from them.
  10. BTW it was on Path to The Draft and the source was Nolan Nawrocki from PFW. He mentioned that it could push him into the late first round and compared the slide to Steven Jackson and Laurence Maroney (2 guys I would not mind having at all).
  11. Listening on the radio... It was blacked out locally and I didn;t have a ticket.
  12. Still was a great show. Marshall Faulk & Rich Eisen both seemed star struck by him. Marshall mentioned that he modeled his game after him and since Marshall came in the league with Ted Marchibroda he was assigned to watch all of Thurmans plays in that offense and stated he tried to model himself after Thurman.
  13. Yesterday on NFL Network they mentioned that Marshawn Lynch is dropping in alot of GM's eyes becasue he has back problems. They mentioned that alot of GM's were disappointed with his physical. Anyone else hear anything about this?
  14. ESPN puts an NFL equivalent to the draft prospects. I always enjoy looking at this kinda stuff because I follow NFL alot more than college. Please bare in mind they will sometimes compare an all star player to a projected fifth round selection. Anyway here goes some of the top prospects. 15. Picked up ESPN's draft guide grocery shopping today. They tend to rate every player and give the NFL counterpart (player they think they are most similiar to). It is usually a bad comparison but they rated Clinton Portis as Marshawn's NFL equivalent and they rated A. Peterson to Shaun Alexander.
  16. Yeah but in this Mock the Patrick Willis is gone to the 49ers before the Bills pick.
  17. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html Has us taking Marshawn Lynch but also mentions it could be a toss up between him and Leon Hall. Also throws Okoye into the mix. This is historically one of the best and most accurate mock draft sites as well as a great website to get info on the players from. Make sure you check out his mock draft archives although his final mock is done right before they start picking on draft day.
  18. Is your buddy a General Manager for the Jets?
  19. How about thinking of the draft in this term...Obviously the Bills will not pick a QB or a S at #12. Russell, Quinn, and Laron Landry will be off the board for sure. Technically if you remove those three players the Bills have the 9th best player at a needed position. Freakin Adam Schefter has me all reved up now talking about the Browns wanting Brady Quinn and Adrian Peterson possibly being available to the Bills.
  20. Maybe he got hurt walking to his car after the interview!?!?!?
  21. When talking about the draft I always see people bring up "look who was found in this round or that round" but if you put up how many players don't pan out that are drafted in the later rounds and look at it as a percentage it is probably not good. RB is too important of a position for how this team plays offense to try and "get lucky with a draft day steal".
  22. That makes as much sense as giving up a #1 for Doug Jolley
  23. Still live in WNY and eat Chicken Wings all the time. It;s a staple of our culture Born in '73... Also formerly on this board as Chicken WINg and Buffalonian through the past 5 years or so but I lost my password and had changed email addresses.
