  1. So the Steelers signed Levi Wallace instead of re-signing Joe Haden? It makes one wonder if the Steelers thought Levi was an upgrade, or if Haden did not want to re-sign there.
  2. It's Hodgins without the k - Hodgkins is a terrible disease. Hodgins dealt with a knee injury late in camp and failed to secure a spot on Buffalo's 53-man roster, but he'll remain in the organization as part of the practice squad. The knee issue emerged for Hodgins in the team's first preseason game Aug. 13, and he has yet to retake the field. Hodgins had some momentum with strong reviews from the coaching staff regarding his play at OTAs and early on in training camp. However, this injury seemingly puts his roster spot in jeopardy, as he's also competing with Jake Kumerow and Marquez Stevenson for a role among the receiver corps. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/2783899/isaiah-hodgins/
  3. That was awesome! Thanks for sharing it. Josh is such a humble grounded guy and what a great teammate and leader. How many other Qb's love going away to training camp so they can be with their guys all day for 2 1-2 weeks. The more the rest of the country sees of him, the more he is going to be loved. Having his dog nose in there a few times was great.
  4. Another part of this is that you know the players character and attitude after 4 years. You have a much more informed idea if the guy has just been playing for a contract (Jordan Phillips?) or if his attitude and intensity will remain after he gets paid (Josh, easy example).
  5. Well loosing it is better than losing it! The sky is not falling and it's early yet, hang loose mi amigo 🤙
  6. I understand the strategy (I didn't care for the Addison or Emmanuel signings either), but I'm still wondering who they could have "realistically" signed that was a difference maker. Especially given the restraints of the cap and the needed desire of any said players to sign with the team. Buffalo has not been a draw for elite players, although that mindset seems to be changing from what we have recently heard. So who are those difference makers they could have signed in the last 3 years?
  7. You are inferring that difference makers have been available. Who do you see as a difference maker that Beane could have "realistically" signed since he has been with the team?
  8. Yes, ha ha. I remember when it was 17 rounds. Memories of Don Nottingham, "Mr. Irrelevant" in 1971 was pick 441.
  9. Thanks, that is very surprising!
  10. Seriously, 30%? Where do you find that number? That would equate to around 15 players per team. Off the top of my head I don't think the Bills are even close to that number.
  11. Is it groundhog day...... again?
  12. Not everyone is going to get that side note, so here, let me "clear the air for you".......🤣
  13. I see Jack Anderson #66 in there. So they got him back for the big game,eh?
  14. When they were looking to hire a new OC a reporter asked if Josh would have input in the hire. McDermott generically answered that Josh “would be kept in the loop.” So we don’t know what exactly is exchanged being in the loop, but there was purported to be contact. Perhaps that exchange can apply to other hires and positions as well.
  15. Hopefully you are just speaking your notes into your phone or tablet, much like commenting to a fan watching the game with you. If not, how could you enjoy the game at all. I rarely write or type anything out anymore. Edit, format and send it on; or if necessary paste into a word processor and do the same. Whatever you do, enjoy the game and your life. It goes by way too fast, just ask us old timers. 👴 Thanks @Virgil for your salient contributions here!
  16. Impressive indeed! May God bless his soul! RIP Coach Madden
  17. Except for the time Judon purposely tripped Josh after the play was over, caught on camera - cheap shot.
  18. It looks like most of the country gets the Bills vs Pats game 👍 (great for us out of towners) https://506sports.com/
  19. That reminded me that Qb Danny White used to be the Cowboys punter in the 70's-80's.
  20. Dion Dawkins may disagree with that premiss. 😕
  21. Enjoyed the read, but Ford wasn't pulled; he came out because of an arm injury. He later returned and toughed it out as they say.
  22. hmm, I didn't think that was possible
  23. So do I, lol. In fact their first few years I remember they had a dolphin swimming in a pool in the end zone (?), or somewhere. As a kid I thought that was so cool.
