  1. If you put a microscope on any particular decisions made in any organization you will find disagreement. Some prove out in the long run, some don't. What about the poor decisions Belichek has made through the years (signing Gillislee to big money, among many others) has it hamstrung that team? Though I don't agree with all of them, I see this organization making better decisions than any management here in the last 20 years.
  2. The inferred impatience is with the new coach & gm. To expect them to turn the direction of the long mismanaged team in a year and a half is the definition of that. Further, to think they were able to get the team in the playoffs in their first year, while trying to position it for a roster for the long run, was significant in itself. Geez, give these guys at least 3 years with their finger prints all over it, they weren't responsible for the 17 lost years.
  3. McBean have stated their intention to build through the draft. They are not trading picks away for stop gap. If there was no intention of giving Anderson any playing time they could have just signed him on as an assistant qb coach, and thus saved the roster spot.
  4. I totally agree with that; it was a unique experience particularly as compared to today. Do you remember watching practices out at the Blasdell Motel? I got Jack Kemp's autograph there after a practice & was thrilled as a kid. I still have it somewhere.
  5. That would be 1966 I believe.
  6. I don't remember an injury being that significant. Even in his ROY season he had 10 TD's to 20 Interceptions. He finished his career with 35 TD's to 68 Interceptions. He had trouble reading defenses and floated his passes.
  7. Whoa, I have to totally disagree with that. Shaw had no arm, the opposite of JA. All he could throw were floaters, hence his very high interception rate; not only in the pro's, but going back to his college years. One of the best trades the Bills ever made was Dennis Shaw for Ahmad Rashad.
  8. You generally hear, as many here have said, that foot work adjustments can improve accuracy. However, during the draft Troy Aikman said accuracy can't be improved. So that's one "expert's" opinion.
  9. If that happens you go to Will Call to get your tickets.
  10. But if he has not signed his contract yet is he still constricted by the bargaining agreement seeing as he isn't on the team yet? That crossed my mind as to why he hasn't signed yet, because the way rookies a slotted there is not much leverage holding out.
  11. I don't think it's autism, it's sounds more like bipolar disorder. PS - have a Texas Hot for me.
  12. I'd say more know the punter, but I can only guess Brian Moorman. I do know Spiro T was Nixon's VP, I was in high school back then. Another punter question, who was the punter that also played linebacker?
  13. You can forget about Luck. He is the reason McDaniel is going to the Colts; a quality quarterback in place to build on. Luck isn't going anywhere.
  14. Darby also played great against Atlanta. He basically shut down Julio Jones (basically, not totally) without help. Julio usually demands double coverage. Darby has played well in every game I've seen him play in this year. But he evidently wasn't buying into the "new administration" and was not a scheme fit according to Peter King - http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/08/ronald_darby_didnt_buy_into_buffalo_bills_new_administration_says_peter_king.html.
  15. My guess is that they are all at the Senior Bowl this week and that is a priority over introductions. Since they have officially "named" him, he must be under contract.
  16. That's interesting because Castillo was hired way before Dennison and McCoy was supposed to be the favored choice at the time. Also, Castillo and McD had the Philadelphia connection.
  17. So a guy with a lot of heart tries to play with an injured knee, an inacurate quarterback and never complains, and you react like that? Pretty low!
  18. You are so right 26. That play of Stratton crushing Lincoln (who would later play for the Bills) was universally known by that title. Thanks for the vid, great memories of that awesome defense back then.
  19. As evidenced in the last draft, picks can be used as currency to move up in various rounds. They jockeyed around with almost every pick, which I believe was McD targeting specific players he had designs on. "So a 5th or 6th pick" is worth more, unless you think they're just going to sit in their draft slots.
  20. F. Scott Fitzgearld? He's dead and not able to shave anymore. Ryan Fitzpatrick might be a better candidate for that.
  21. Why is it that people here refuse to recognize that Carrington is now a DT? http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster.html A healthy Troup will be 1st in on the rotation... Edwards is the best against the run in the DT group, will depend if they value that if he stays or not.
  22. Amen tombstone, Bubby was the best...... and Wray Carlton wasn't half bad either.
  23. Thanks, great story. Robert James was one of my favorite Bills players back then. No one could play bump and run, tight coverage better. Unfortunately he was never the same after his injury, or he'd be in the Hall of Fame. One classy guy though.
