  1. That's all I need to know. not interested. Looking for: 1. Separation 2. Great hands 3. Catch radius
  2. He recently just signed a contract for next year, so he is coming back. He also recently said he still enjoys playing and would do it all again even given the concussion. I don’t think he feels double crossed at all.
  3. People learn by watching (it’s how we all learned our language, etc) and Josh said he learned so much watching DA take over the offense when he was hurt. When he came back he was greatly improved and he credited DA. Derek likely doesn’t want the grind of a coach, lower pay and enjoys the CBA restrictions. Another added factor is the number of years playing adds the the now rather lucrative NFL pension, something he’ll collect on long after his playing days are over.
  4. I think he needs to be moved inside to G or C.
  5. I only remember him playing right corner back. This would seem to agree: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/ByrdBu00.htm
  6. Butch Byrd played corner back not FS.
  7. I remember George Saimes who was good (and you just made me remember Hagood Clarke the strong safety) and had the benefit of playing on probably the best defense in Bills' history (McDole, Sestack, Dunaway, Tom "Tippy" Day on the DL - Stratton, Jacobs, Tracey LBs - Butch Byrd, Booker Edgerson, Clarke and Saimes DBs). But for my money Tony Greene is the best free safety of all time for the Bills. I remember a game against the Jets, he had been injured, but at a crucial time in the game he went out on the field and because of his presence Namath called a time out. There was no play clock back then. Greene ranks number 2 in Bills history in interceptions and interception return yards and he holds the record for the longest interception return in Bills history, 101-yards. He's 3rd in fumble recoveries, he was a real ball hawk!
  8. Such a typical emotional fan reaction, cut this player, fire this person. You build a team by fielding the best players you can. If you can find a better running back or tight end, hallelujah! But you don’t cut a player just for the sake of cutting them. Further, I think people here are confusing mentoring with leadership. Leadership is Shady going to Robert Foster and telling him he needed to step up and put in the effort to succeed, and how to be a pro. He wasn’t mentoring him on how to play wr.
  9. With Quinn on a short leash it will be tough for him to attract any quality assistant coaches, not a good situation.
  10. Yea, but wouldn’t he look cool driving to the beach in his pickup truck with that big dolphin on the side. ?
  11. Though it's a contrarian view, I don't believe it's a foregone conclusion that there will be regime change there.
  12. ...when he's not hurtling them.
  13. "Solid" has gotten Kyle into the Pro Bowl a few times, so I guess it's not too bad.
  14. I totally agree. I remember a HC, Jimmy Johnson then with the Dolphins IIRC, saying Ted was the reason the Dolphins lost the game. He was a dominant force. His father, former Houston Oilers linebacker Ted Washington, Sr. , was also a good player back in the day.
  15. I had forgotten about Montler, RIP. That was a fun year to be a Bills fan, one that gave us hope. I do remember Jarvis, 6-7 285 and great potential. Unfortunately knee injuries cut it short. Here's an interesting article about him: https://www.seattlepi.com/sports/football/article/Where-Are-They-Now-Bruce-Jarvis-1290493.php Ten years after establishing the record, Jarvis received a bottle of Dom Perignon and a laudatory note from Simpson. On the 20th anniversary, everyone was summoned to Buffalo, seated in owner Ralph Wilson's box and saluted at halftime of a Bills game. Jarvis remembers introducing his wife, Cindy, to Simpson, and his famous teammate oddly noting similarities between her and his former spouse. Six months later, Simpson was arrested for the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman and later acquitted in a sensational trial.
  16. Trading Dareus wasn't just about cap savings. He wasn't playing to his contract, wasn't a great locker room fit and wasn't part of the culture they are trying to build. Further, the draft pick they got was used to draft Teller, who hopefully in the long run will prove to be a greater asset here than Dareus would be at this stage.
  17. Not too sure about him. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/05/27/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-jesse-burkett/ Especially this: Smallish frame that could use more mass, especially in the lower half. Limited to zone usage in the NFL and may never succeed if power issues aren’t sussed out.
  18. Go ahead and think about it, we'll wait. ⏳
  19. No, it hasn't been fixed. I found it using the OP's topic title here. If Kiko was supposed to be a spy in that game, he was very ineffective. Josh owned him all game long.
  20. I would think Leslie Frazier would be on the list before Daboll. Especially based on where the Bills Defense is ranked as contrasted to Daboll's Offense. Also, he has Head Coaching experience and even interviewed for the Colts Head job last year.
  21. That's because once the ball crosses the plane of the goal line, it's automatically a touchdown and the play is dead at that point. There can be no fumble. It's irrelevant to that play what happens after that (including any, then dead ball, penalties which are then assessed on the kickoff).
  22. What makes you think Barkley is "teaching?" He was brought in to be the back up, because Peterman was ineffective (at best). He's had his hands full just learning the next game plan, let alone the whole playbook. He certainly hasn't had time for "teaching."
  23. Actually Culley did play QB in college, though he wasn't the full time starter. http://prod.static.chiefs.clubs.nfl.com/assets/pdf/2016/coaches/david-culley.pdf
  24. Your wife might be right..... but I'm with you
