Well put.
-
I'm not going anywhere. I love the Buffalo Bills, believe it or not.
-
Insults are the easy way out of an argument you can't win. Some of us have children on this board that read our posts. Do you think a dad would like to explain to his son why he is being called names? If anything, that can push a kid away from being a Bills fan. I think insults to other members on the wall should result in a suspension. BTW. Name calling is real tough behind a computer.
-
Good one!!!
-
The main point that I tried to make that seems to be getting lost is, while I believe it's okay to disagree with others' opinions, it's not okay to insult peoples' level of intelligence.
-
I agree. I'm just frustrated right now. My expectations for this team is low to begin with (I predicted 5 & 11 before the season started), but losing to Detroit is too much to take.
-
I agree wholeheartedly. BTW The facts are this team sucks.
-
I just think RW is too cheap.
-
Criticize all you'd like. I just want to know what an idiot is. Someone that sees things through rose colored glasses and is always wrong or someone that is a realist and sees things for what they really are. Which for the last seven years isn't very good.
-
Technically, it was a winning season. But by no means was it a successful season.
-
I don't have a problem with anyone you have mentioned, except RW. We will never win a Super Bowl as long as he is owner.
-
If I criticize the Bills for any number of reasons such as the coaching staff, the players or the management, I am immediately called an idiot. I must be stupid. After all, just look at all the wins the Bills have accumulated over the last seven years. All of the AFC East titles and playoff berths won. How dare I criticize? We are rebuilding, right? Rebuilding for seven LONG years. Be patient, you ask? Marv & Dick just got started. Give them a chance. Sure, I'll be patient, it's not like a team can win the Super Bowl one year after going 5 & 11 (cough, cough, the St. Louis Rams). No way you can compete a year after sucking. The Rams, Ravens and Saints of 2006-07 are an aberition. So from now and on, I vow to change. When I see something that appears to be crappy football I'll just think how great a team this is and post crap like we're gonna beat the Pats or Bears. How about JP Losman? His offensive line is to blame for bad screen passes and high passes that leave his receivers out-stretched and vulnerable to a huge hit. How 'bout when the Bills get the ball towards the end of the game with a chance to either tie or win and then inevitably screw it up? I'll just brush it off as a learning experience because you learn so much from losing. Everybody knows that. And when we lose a game to the Bears, it's okay, because they are a great team or when we lose to the Lions because they suck so bad and are so dangerpous because they haven't won yet and that we will have a better chance against New England. I can always go the popular route and blame the guys all of you intelligent people blame. Like Nate Clements, he really sucks. Ruben Brown, just look at all his penalties, we really gotta get him out of here. Bennie Anderson, he can't be no worse than Tucker, can he? Drew Bledsoe, anybody can to better than Drew. Let me sum this all up. Criticize the Bills + The Bills eventually sucking again and missing the playoffs for yet another year = I'm an idiot. OR Saying stuff like the Bills are great + losing season after losing season = I'm intelligent.

Thank god for the Bears pulling that victory out

Have you ever seen a QB in the history of the NFL that can't throw a screen pass to save his life? How about hanging your receivers out to dry? -
The lies being sold over at OBD.

Are you comparing JP's performance against the LIONS defense to Leinart's performance against the BEARS defense? Yeah, fair comparison -

2. You haven't heard anything about bad coaching? We fired three coaches since 2000. That says it all. Obviously Ralph Wilson thinks it's the coaches fault. 4. Jim Kelly didn't want to be in Buffalo either, look how that turned out. 6. You might have a point there. -

I don't think the outcome of the game is relevant here. Leinart played well. Well enough to win against one of the toughest defense I've seen in years. Yes, he did fumble the ball that resulted in a touchdown for the Bears, but that wasn't Matt's fault. The truth is Matt Leinart is a rookie, in only his second career start, who held out a good portion of training camp, and still showed more QB poise than JP has ever shown. -
THE LIES 1. Gandy is a good left tackle. 2. The Bills suck because of bad coaching. 3. Money is no issue when hiring a head coach. 4. Max, er ah, Matt Leinart has no arm strength. 5. JP Losman will get better with more experience. 6. Money is no object when acquiring free agents. THE TRUTH 1. Gandy sucks. Gandy is playing out of position. He should be a guard. 2. This may be true, but how many coaches do you need to go through before you realize that the players suck and should take the brunt of the blame? 3. Yeah, right. The Bills are consistantly amongst the bottom of the league in Head coaching payroll. 4. Matt Leinart isn't a Bill because the owner is a cheap skate. The Bills invested in Losman and they want to get their money's worth. Leinart has good enough arm strength. Brady has comparable arm strength and he gets by just fine. 5. JP Losman showed promise through Week 4, but has gotten progressively worse ever since. I realize that he played a tough Bears defense but he did much worse than any other QB that the Bears have faced. Chicago's opposing QB rating is in the 60's. JP's QB rating in that game against the Bears was in the 30's. The Lions pass defense is awful. Where's JP's excuse there? Of course there are other factors that go into JP's play such as pass protection and rushing. 6. Other than TKO and Drew Bledsoe, who have the Bills broken the bank for?

Never thought I'd say this, but...

I'm not saying the Bills should've broke the bank on guys that aren't worth it. I'm saying extend deals for Buffalo Bills that are going to be here in the future and make their signing bonus apply towards this years' cap. Like Clements and McGahee. That way we will have money available for the offensive and defensive lines in '07. -

So, you're willing to put your all in return of nothing????? Don't get me wrong, I love this team, but they continue to lie and cheat Bills nation on a yearly basis. I feel like I'm in a abusive relationship. -
if this team doesn't go out and acquire some bona fide ballers for the offensive line this coming offseason, I'm done as a football fan. The Buffalo Bills will be dead to me. I'm sick of spending MY hard earned money on a team that doesn't show the same type of commitment that I do. This team wasted away all of their cap space this year. The Bills have about $10 million plus in cap space. They could've used that money on re-signing Clements, who we desperately need now that McGee has been exposed, and they could've extended McGahee's deal as well. That money, which the Bills will probably waste anyways this coming offseason, could've been used elsewhere. Use your damn cap space when you got it!! Future cap space can be used to shore up other areas of need. I know what many of you will probably flame away on me for my comments, but I'm pretty frustrated right about now. How can I not be? I'm well aware that you don't build a winner overnight. But it has been 7 years since our last playoff berth and what? 11 years since our last playoff victory? In that time we went through 3 GM's, 5 head coaches and countless players. The one constant has been that cheap skate of an owner. Let's face it, the Buffalo Bills are a second rate organization. If the Bills go out and sign some marquee lineman, both on defense and offense, and they still lose. I can handle that. I won't be upset, because at least they tried, but don't insult my intelligence with the Mike Gandys, Chris Vilarrialls, Melvin Fowler and Tuten Reyes' of the world. IMO, not using that cap space was a blatant disregard to the commitment of winning. It's obviously all about dollars and cents to old Ralphie Boy. It should be all about dollars and sense to me. Between all the money I spend on Bills paraphanelia, tickets, air fare, jerseys, hats, NFL Sunday Ticket etc etc etc I can save plenty of loot.

I thought today's game was a prime example of this philosophy. The Bears are most definately NOT 33 points better than the Bills.
-
Let the QB controversy begin.

Everyone is talking like the Bears is the best team in the NFL, but what have they accomplished in the last few years??? They haven't even won a playoff game in recent history. Not since '94. That's a longer drought than our Bills. Yeah, they won their division a couple of times since then, but that division isn't too talented if you ask me. The Vikings, Packers and Lions have been a joke lately. I'm not saying Buffalo will win Sunday, but I don't think that a victory is impossible. I just don't believe the Bears should be placed up on a pedestal just yet.
