  1. Trey Teague, Mike Williams, Bennie Anderson, Jeff Posey, Ruben Brown, Parker, Rob Johnson, Doug Flutie, that Watson guy at CB, Eddie Robinson and Lonnie Johnson. Even coaches such as Ronnie Vinklarik, Joe Pendry, Sheppard, Carl Mauck, Kevin Gilbride, Mike Mularkey, Gregg Williams, Jerry Gray, Ronnie Jones, Wade Phillips and Tom Clements. I'm sure that I have forgotten a few. These guys were the punching bags for all us Bills fans over the last few years. Our "fall guys", so to speak. GM's, such as TD and Butler also fell prey to all types of scrutiny, blame and everything in between. I was wondering. Who will be the next bunch of guys that will be put to the cross? Many names come to mind. JP Losman, Kelly Holcomb, Rian Lindell, Mike Gandy, Ryan Denney, Chris Kelsay, Josh Reed, Willis McGahee, Nate Clements, Troy Vincent, Tim Anderson and Coy Wire are the most likely. Brace yourself guys. Play well. The fans' wrath and venom will be coming to you real soon if you don't perform well.
  2. I just don't get your rationale. If you're worried about JP's head then what makes you think he's starting material?
  3. If I were coach of the Bills I would literally flip a coin in front of both JP and Kelly and ask them to call heads or tails. I would then tell them the loser of the coin toss will start the second exhibition game of the preseason. This way neither player, or fan for that matter, can read too much into who will get the start this week and why.
  4. My crystal ball says Miami. Their LB's suck.
  5. I agree, Miami is overhyped. Just take a look at their roster. QB is full of questions, but can be very good. RB is in good hands with Ronnie Brown, but I can see him getting injured with his running style. Can he carry the load of a lone featured back? Everyone else behind him is garbage. WR is in okay shape. Chambers is the only real threat. Booker is adequate at the #2. No one else is really good. McMichael is good. OL is garbage. DL is good, but getting old. LB is weak overall. They have the oft injured Zach and Channing Crowder but no one else. DB is by far the weakest group on their squad. Will Allen, Travis Daniels, Will Pool and Goodman are at the corner. Allen the holdout rookie is at S and I don't even know who the other safety is, I believe it Tillman. DooDoo. I think we match up well against Miami. The only question is if we can stop their offense. I think our offense is gonna have a field day against their defense.
  6. Good work as usual Mike. Keep up the good work.
  7. At WR Fast Freddie Smith!!!! At RB Lionel Gates!!!!! At CB Jabari Greer!!!!! Every year there are a handful of guys that perform very well in Training Camp but for some reason don't get a chance to show what they have when the real season begins. I just wanted to show them some love now, because these guys won't continue their great performances in the regular season.
  8. Of course the playoffs will make me very happy, but that doesn't seem likely to me this year. So my expectations are low. It won't take much for me to be happy. I went with option #3. Four and Twelve will put is in position to acquie some good young talent in next year's draft and those 4 wins against our most hated rivals equal 10 wins to me. Remember this, my expectations are VERY low.
  9. I hate to admit it, but I jumped on the bandwagon during the '88 season. I never really payed much attention to sports until I seen the town go nuts over the Bills during that season. I was 14 years old back then and all I really cared about were girls. I remember the defense being really awesome that year. Making big play after big play. I think the "D" even had a nickname that year. I just can't remember what it was, if there was one at all.
  10. I got this from BB.com http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3920 Kelly Holcomb led the unit in the two-minute drill and while he did make several completions on the 13-play drive there were no big gainers that got the team down the field in a hurry. There was one opportunity when the offense was just outside the red zone and Holcomb had Roscoe Parrish open near the sideline on a deep out, but he elected to check down and make a completion underneath. He made a lot of completions in the five to 10-yard area. Once in the red zone Holcomb took a few shots at the end zone, but overthrew George Wilson and Parrish and then finished the drive with an interception in the end zone as Matt Bowen picked off the pass intended for Wilson. While JP Losman didn't do much better (going 4 and out on his two minute drill). The inability (Holcomb's) to get the ball down field is even more disturbing. How can you score in a two minute offense without throwing the ball deep?
  11. I got this from BB.com Hot night for offense The warm temperatures appeared to warm up Buffalo's offensive unit Tuesday night as both Kelly Holcomb and J.P. Losman collectively played their best since training camp opened. There were just six incompletions the entire night and one pass was dropped and another pass fell incomplete when a receiver fell down on his route. "It was good," said Losman of the offense's performance on the night. "Collectively both quarterbacks and the whole group, we all did well. It was a good day, it was our best day so far." "At times they looked good, they take turns, but they're getting a lot of reps so hopefully something good will come out of it," said Jauron of the quarterbacks. "I don't have any timetable, we'll just keep watching them, keep studying them and keep all the stats for what they're worth. They've got to add value because you have to base it on something." Losman hit Robert Royal for a touchdown during a 7-on-7 red zone period. He also delivered a pretty looking pass to Sam Aiken in traffic. Kelly Holcomb's best throw was one during the blitz period when he got a pass off over the middle in the face of pressure to George Wilson who gained separation and used the open area of the deep middle for what would have been a first down reception. Losman had one interception off a tipped pass that went straight up in the air. Rookie linebacker Keith Ellison came up with the takeaway.
  12. Tell me about it. Jason's got that Michael Jackson thing going on. Not Thriller Mike, child molesting Mike.
  13. From what I read. All but 6 passes were completed last night and one of those was dropped by the receiver and on another one the receiver fell down. That's pretty accurate, if you ask me.
  14. Count me in as a Lucky Louie fan. BTW. I seen Louie do a little bit of stand up comedy a year or so ago. He uses a lot of his act in his show. Specifically, the "why" and the "hide and go seek" segments.
  15. Saban turns down an invitation to have dinner with the Pres. Mike Mularkey skips a day of training camp practice to take his team to the movies. This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs. Any questions????
  16. I believe Miami is grossly over-rated. Let's say Daunte Culpepper is healthy. He still has to prove that he can play well without Randy Moss. Chambers is good, but he's no Moss. Ronnie Brown is a good running back, but can he run the ball as hard as he has without someone like Ricky to give him a breather? I think not. If he does, he will get injured. Miami has a lousy secondary and their offensive line isn't much better. As a matter of fact, I believe Buffalo will win in Miami when we play them week 2.
  17. The Bills game in Miami can be just as hot. Are they going to cancel the game just because it's 90 degrees? I think not. They better get used to those types of conditions now so that they will be ready for it week two in Miami.
  18. Mike didn't lose 37lbs. He skipped breakfast.
  19. If the President can drop the "S" bomb, so can Chuck Howard.
  20. Whether the Bills finish the season 10 & 6 or 6 & 10, it doesn't matter to me. I'm excited about the season either way. How can you not? It's football man.
  21. That brought a tear to my eye.
  22. A have a question. What's the number of times a particular player's name gets brought up in this thread before he's NOT considered overrated? Just a thought.
