  1. Amen. So many people believe the clowns on GR55 who proclaim that all 1st round QB's should be the next Andrew Luck or RGIII, in today's NFL.
  2. I've often found fault with Freddie's role on the team, but his play recently has helped me to appreciate his value. His game Sunday while playing with 2 broken ribs was inspirational. Fred's not a super star but he has become the heart and soul of this organization, and I think he is deserving.
  3. I wish I had your remarkable vision, so I too would know that EJ (who I might add was considered a project on draft day) is already a failure, as is Doug Whaley in less than a year.
  4. Stevie you have my most heartfelt condolences. This is obviously a terrible loss for you.
  5. I don't think it has anything to do with his health. This offense is geared to run inside the tackles, and while CJ is able to, it is not his best asset. Hackett should be designing plays to get him to the edge where he can utilize his speed. Also he should be spread wide and running deep routes. Also if he had an asthma exacerbation it would not be resolved so rapidly.
  6. Glad to hear your trip was a memorable one, but your timing is off. Back in the early 90"s it was rare to see a loss at the Ralph. Hope the next trip ends with a Bills win. Looking forward to the future, as I believe the team is turning the corner.
  7. Can some one tell me why this was not a touch back, instead of being spotted at the 3 yard line?
  8. Love Freddie but he misses too many games.
  9. I heard a rumor that next year all of our games will have teams coming off a bye or thursday game. LOL! When it's to tough for them it's just right for us. Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. That was a nice gesture but it still falls way to short. I'll wait til the NFL admits the AFL was not an inferior league, even though I know that will never happen because their far to arrogant.
  11. Amen Brother! My thoughts exactly when I saw the title.
  12. Went to the HOF when Jimbo was inducted. Thought it was pretty cool, but very disappointed to see the refusal to recognize AFL stars. To this day the NFL sells the notion that their league was the only legitimate league. Interestingly enough, the 1st 4 championships (pre-merger) were split 2 and 2. Green Bay won the 1st 2, and the Jets and Chiefs won the next 2. Seems pretty even to me. Did you know Billy Shaw is the only inductee to never play against an "NFL" team. Until the NFL comes off their high horse and begins to recognize some of the stars of the AFL I'll never be back. Sorry just an old diehard venting. Just think it's a shame so many were ignored.
  13. Kudo's to you on an excellent chronicle. Many great memories. I truly enjoyed reliving the past and hope for more in the future. This video displayed the wealth of talent at the RB position the Bills have had from the beginning, right up to today. You younger followers got a taste of OJ. He was an absolute marvel to watch, and now the torch gets passed on to CJ. I can't wait for the season opener. Thanks again for all your hard work.
  14. The kid seemed genuine in his regrets, regarding his reasons for leaving UT. Hopefully he is able to keep clean. If so he could be a real gem. He sounds like a well spoken young man that made some mistakes, but has vowed to rise from the ashes. We may really have an NFL calibre recieving corp this year.
  15. Or lack of strength in other area's. From things I have read none of the 3 tackles were considered "elite" and might be better suited for RT in the long run. Only Warmack was considered an "elite" guard. The Giants took Pugh in the 1st and he is most likely better suited for guard. Only time will tell how this draft plays out. If E J becomes the stud they envision, the FO will be lauded, and if not they will bear the burden. otherwise I like a lot about this draft.
  16. R.I.P. Larry you were a class act. I also enjoyed your time on Empire sports and your contributions to the Buffalo sports scene. You were always a straught shooter, and thats hard to find today. You will be sorely missed.
  17. I'm curious to see how this team perrforms under Marone. There is some talent, but it has several glaring holes as well. A QB upgrade will help but the run D has to get enormously better. If the team hadn't been behind so much the out come might have been much better last year.
  18. Are Branch and Jackson related???? If T J is our starter, it's going to be a long season. The only worse scenario would be Geno Smith or worse yet E J Manuel.
  19. I like the move because it didn't cost any picks, and it fills a need. I would have liked to see Fitz restructure and stay but it wasn't in the cards. While Kolb doesn't have a big arm he is said to be very accurate in a short passing game so the west coast O should fit his skill set. I also like it that we wont be forced into taking one of the questionable QB's this draft is loaded with. Who knows at the end of the year we may be pleasently surprised.
  20. While I don't like Nassib at 8 I feel he has more to offer, at the pro level than Smith. It's sad that we have stooped to drooling over any QB other than Fitz, but patience is a virtue. A true #1 WR would be great at 8, or a stud LB,or CB if they like. If this crop of QB's had come out last year they would probably fall to the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe lower. Drafting for need seldom works out well. A couple of years ago people were lobbying for Blaine Gabbert. He may be available. Any takers???????
  21. Me too. Not only was he a probowl punter, he was a class act. I know players come and go, but it will seem odd not seeing him out there this Sunday. I wish him well with the Cowboys.
  22. As a die hard Fins hater who was present for all 20 losses and the following wins, I would miss the rivalries with the Fins, Jets, and Pats but felt then and now a "Blue Collar/Rust Belt" rivalry would have benefited all 4 teams and their respective cities.
  23. I would hate to be the DB trying to make a play with Cordy, bearing down on him. Pass the Charmin please!
  24. In an interview with Eric Wood he mentioned the Wolf Pack as the line knick name. Don't know if it was something they came up with, or if it came from someone else.
