  1. Wow. Good game. Brown and Co.were bad ass today. The O-line was mauling. Kinda looked like the Bills were the Bullies today!

Zach Brown has been sensational so far. And to think he was inked by a guy many people on this board want fired. This just in! There is more to a GM's job than draft picks. Lets not forget L. Alexander, and J.Hughes . T. Taylor hasn't been to bad either. Did I mention L. Mc Coy.

  2. I want to turn over a new leaf today and look at your posts more objectively

    - I think the big key here is....stop thinking and start being football players on the O side of the ball.

    - Agreed on Woods in the blocking game....the unfortunate thing is if we want to take that next step we need a WR that can be BOTH a threat and a blocker....I still think this team needs to keep looking for that great TE that can do this and run 2 TE formations.

    - Regarding Felton....someone must have checked the fan suggestion box on Felton where we have been sending in how much Felton was getting paid as opposed to how much he was getting utilized....the only nit pik I have is I would like to see him get the ball more in short yardage situations as the up back.......and I think my boy Johnathan WIlliams got ONE carry the whole game.....please use him more Lynn

    - Im just gonna skip QB for now....we dont agree....that is fine we dont have to agree

    - Marcel is back the week after next....him and Kyle Williams are going to be a force on this DL....with Marcel demanding most of the attention other guys should flourish.

    - Gotta give credit to Rob Ryan and his work with the LB's......he might be a lousy DC....but he appears to be a good positional coach

    - Big rebound game for our DB's....I was worried about Darby being out but they overcame that nicely....the Cards have one of the better sets of pass catchers in the entire NFL

    - Aside from Carp's missed field goal....this unit really did dominate the game yesterday

I do not want to see Felton carry the ball. He has one carry and one lost fumble. We have enough options at running back. Also Woods can be a viable option in the passing game if given more of an opportunity.

  3. I watched a lot of that game. Fitz was bad but the team overall looked completely unprepared and unmotivated - after 10 days rest! . As crazy as it sounds I really think Last week vs Bills was their SB, I thought it at the time and it looked that way yesterday. Bad job out of Bowles.

I couldn't agree with you more. I feel they were out for revenge Thursday after last year. They were very motivated and it was evident. They seemed to lose that focus this week.

  4. Let me say congrats on admitting your mistaken predictions. I too must also apologize, for being too right. If you are too right on this board you will be banned. It often takes an extra year for most here to see what I see and then becomes the most commonly cliche thing to say.

I said after 2 games last year that TT just throws deep or to the sideline and wasnt using the middle. It wasnt til the off-season it suddenly became the most common criticism of his play.

I said Mario should be cut after about 3 games in last year and got flamed hard.

I said Rex is just plain dumb and his team plays dumb and out of control evidenced by ridiculous 15 yard penalties and bad clock management.( no one argued this but I saw it week 2)

I said we shouldnt have let fitz go, well he cant throw deep but he wins 10-11 games a year and tore us apart last thurs with the MIDDLE range throws down the MIDDLE of the field. Now one EJ and TT later how are we looking at QB?

I said from the get go that Watkins looked tentative and was dropping balls thrown in traffic since his rookie year. Has that changed?

I said that trading for shady would end up costing us 5 players and that he wasnt worth even losing Kiko, well it worked out that Shady cost us Fred Jackson, Bryce Brown (and his 4rth rounder we traded away), Kiko, and would have cost us Glenn had we not found Mario suddenly expendable, but thats still 5 and his contract still may cost us Gilmore. This was before I knew he was a psycho, and all hes been doing is losing yards on first down lately. All Kiko did Sunday was make 7 tackles, recover a fumble, and knock Garapalo out of the game when it was 24-0 giving the fish a chance to come back.

I was banned for that and each of the opinions I posted above. I guess I should just post the opposite of what I think and make everyone happy then ill apologize a year later when im "wrong"

No offence but you said 5 players and only listed 3 players, a draft pick who may or may not be on some ones roster and speculation on whether or not the Bill's could have inked Glenn . Two of the players Jackson and Brown I believe are out of the league. I will give you Alonso but at the time he was coming off a major injury and to be honest no one knows for sure how much longer he will play. And I will agree with you about Mario. I would have sat him until he was ready to play.

  5. Dude...he was insane...

He made the game infinitely more enjoyable to watch. And I think he was the greatest ever at his position, even better than Reggie White was in that era. Bruce made a huge percentage if not the majority of his big plays while being double teamed. And he still made the play.

Opponents had to dedicate a significant amount of game planning to figuring out how to neutralize him. It was a true pleasure to watch. You had to see it with your own eyes to really understand how great he was.

In my opinion he was a better defensive end than Jim Kelly was a quarterback and Thurman Thomas was a running back - And I hold both of those players in the highest regard. Of those 90's era teams, Bruce was the best player at any position on the team respective to each player's position. (in my opinion)

A lot of people hold Reggie White in higher regard, but to really appreciate what Bruce did you have to understand that playing in a 3-4 defense he saw double teams the majority of the time and sacks typically come from the rush linebackers not the DE, while Reggie saw a lot of single blocks playing his career in a 4-3 look where it the DE responsibility is to provide sacks. Bruce was the better athlete.

  6. Rex puts himself on the hot seat w his big mouth and empty promises. If he was a normal coach n kept his mouth shut he wouldnt be on the hot seat. Just like Whaley wouldnt be on the hot seat w out his head scratching moves.

    1. Fighting out in the open w your coach

    2. Trading way to much for a wr in the draft.

    3. Cutting fred jackson the most beloved player on the team when he was still productive.

    4. Swearing to anyone who would listen he drafted EJ and he was in fact a franchise QB.

    5. Cutting a starting FB that cost alot of $ to do so only to run back to him 1 week later.

    To name a few.

    2. How do you know he spent way to much for Watkins when his career is still in it's infancy? is it because the clowns who write for the papers say so? If he turns out to be a bust then you are right, but if he turns out to be a HOF'er then you and the media clowns will be the fools not him. It's way to early to cross that bridge yet.

    3. I hated to see Freddy go but the truth of the matter is there were more productive players ahead of him. This is the NFL not the lonely hearts club.

    4. I don't recall hearing him swearing he drafted EJ( IIRC Nix was the GM at the time) I will admit that he has been on record for defending the choice.

    5. I believe Jerome Felton missed more blocks than anyone else in the league. They brought him back out of desperation. They thought Gronk could handle the job but he couldn't. In case you didn't notice Bellicheat makes mistakes too.

  7. for the record, it is not just the fans putting him on the hot seat. Several of the shows on ESPN and NFLN talked about his job being in jeopardy already this week.

That comes from our constantly negative local media. They continually stoke the replace the coach and GM fire, then whine because the team doesn't make the playoffs. Continuity is a necessity for success. You change the coaching staff, who in turn changes the schemes which takes you back to the beginning.

  8. Watch the horrible play calls, by Greg Roman. Last year he did it too. He doesn't know how to utilize Watkins. Plus I think Salas was thrown to once, but it was a bad pass. They need to get him more involved to take some pressure off Watkins and/or Woods. Idk why there's so much failure other than play calling.

Maybe it's Tyrod not making the correct reads and checking down to often. Do you know what the play calls were? I didn't think so.

  9.

    Not sure I agree.

Let's suppose that Tyrod were to miss 4 games--I like EJ's chances of getting us to 0.500 over those 4 games more than I do for anyone else that would be available at this point.

I believe you are right, and that EJ may surprise a lot of doubters if he plays. He is finally showing the development the FO imagined when he was drafted. It's unfortunate he was pushed into a starting position way to soon, and developed all this negativity.

  10. It is very interesting that it took a writer from Palm Beach to write this.

One would have thought that one of the members of the Buffalo media would have sought out this interview.

Why would they? Haven't you noticed the only thing the local media do is whine, complain and point fingers. Research is also off the table for them. If it's not an opinion piece, it will have to come from else where.

  11. The HOF should be for people who made a significant difference in the game at any position. Steve Tasker was a game changer, Curtis Martin was not. I believe Terrell Davis definitely deserves recognition, same for Terrell Owens, Kurt Warner had a short but successful career. I would also include Boselli, Asomugha, Cunningham, and Law. If I could vote someone out it would be Martin who had a long but insignificant career.
