Hammy's are tough to come from, if we cut Spikes we're still on the hook for the cap hit, although when you're ALREADY over 10 Million under the cap I dunno why you'd cut one of the only leaders you have in the locker room.

As much as can be ascertained through espn.com

There's a difference between saying "we are gunna take it to the Jets this weekend" and "Lets just hope the carts carrying their players off the field don't crash into eachother" and "the Bills may not be able to remember their own names after this one". BIGGGGGGG difference

We have our winner..... that and with the recent rash of season tickets, there are a lot more single seat tickets now. There are lots of sections that are almost exclusively bought up by STH's but there are random single empty seats. Those are the tickets that are impossible to sell.

Corey Simon will miss the rest of the season. He will be out while recovering from a "non-football illness". He has also visited the mayo clinic recently. That is awful news for the guy and you can just hope for the best for him for a full recovery. It kinda sounds like what Mario Lemieux went through. Das Link

cuz I want them to... It's classic letdown game: The Bears, no matter what is being said have to be buying into the hype. I get the impression there is a distinct lack of respect being given in this match up. The Bills are coming together and I think this week they will make a statement within the team and to everyone else that there's something brewing in Orchard Park. The new soldier field isn't known for excessive crowd noise and being an overly hostile environment (63,000 capacity) The Bills are defiant: They are showing the swagger and the bonding needed for a team to lay it all on the line for each other. Chicago is allowing 4 yards/carry on the ground McGahee will be ready to go. Chicago only has 2 receivers that can hurt you, and neither is a top flight threat. The TE is a nice player, but not a game changer. Look for Clements to make a statement this week (finally) London Fletcher: He has spoken in the past about being slighted for the Pro-Bowl. You know that playing against an Urlacher team, he will be running on 108 octane. The Bills are not intimidated: Chicago tries to present an image that they are the baddest team on turf and may get into the heads of some teams. I don't see that happening. I was a skeptic at seasons start about the Bills and hungover from the TD era. I am seeing a group of players that enjoy playing the game, and they will go to the wall for the guy standing next to them. Bust em up this week.

I just spent some time reading through their posts over there...i would have responded sooner but i just brushed my teeth 4 times after throwing up in my mouth. That has to be the most conceited bunch of homers I have ever seen. I've checked out a lot of the forums and that is awful. I can't wait for this game against a very good Bears team and see where we're at. I suspect there may be a sudden run on crow at the grocery store.

To say the Hamstring and the Achilles are unrelated is not true. When you watch Spikes walk, you will notice he still has a bit of a hitch in his step, not severe but it's still there. Much like McGahee still had that little hitch his first year back. They say that the primary concern when coming back from the achilles isn't the achilles but the hamstring. It's very common for someone coming back from the surgery to sustain a hammy. I just hope it's not a domino effect where it's one thing after another.

Can you just imagine if Bruschi got traded to Chicago.....

Fins Columnist Comparing 1-3 Dolphins to 2001 Pats
5 Wide replied to ajzepp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just like in back in2001 when November followed October, the very same thing is happening this year.... and coincidentally enough, in 2001 the Patriots played games in October AND November.....don't look now Dolphins fans but your team ALSO has upcoming games the very same months. If that doesn't have Superbowl written all over it then I don't know what does. -
I just remember reading his transcripts from media days last season and they would read something like: Willis what's your take on the Bears? A: They're good This year he seems like he's really into the team and everything that is involved in making a winner This year: "I have to step it up every week to tell you the truth. I have to give JP that confidence that no one is coming from the backside when I’m in there. I have to step my game up all around. We have to chip real good and let them know we’re there." "I have to get fired up every week to tell you the truth. It’s not just because we’re playing them, it’s against every team you go against. I have to go out and perform. Don’t get it wrong, they’re good. We’re good too and we have faith in each other on this team and in this organization. We’re not worried about what other people are saying. We have to go out there and perform." He's showing more fire and passion about this season then he has since he got here

We talk about the light going on for Losman all the time, I believe that the light is also turning on for McGahee. Reading some quotes of his: "If you want to be a good running back you've got to know how to run the ball and block," said McGahee. "I have to take my blocking game to another level and it's going to go up every week" "That's something I need to work on period for my overall game," said McGahee of his blocking. "I do my best and try to help out the offensive line because they help me out. It's kind of like a two way street." Willis looks like he's really becoming a member of the team and he's playing for the guys around him as much as he is for himself. I really think it's starting to all come together for him and I'm excited to see where it can go from here.

That's like saying spraying Febreeze on a turd is leaving it better than you found it.

ok, a fully grown Bison weighs 2000 pounds and can run 35 Mph Grizzly Bears typically weigh between 700 and 1200 pounds and can run 35 mph They are considered more dangerous than a Grizzly Bear in the wild I'd say the Bison charging a bear would incapacitate it with a good rush, and also uses its hind legs as weapons (i was bored)

This Bears game has me thinking

I just think all this love for the Bears is premature and overboard. Very solid, Very good team. But it seems people are putting them on this pedestal where why even bother showing up. You want to talk about position by position breakdown then so be it CB Clements and McGee are very capable when compared with Tillman and Vasher. Chicago is hurting at WR depth so to say that the Bears 4th corner is better than Greer is negligible. LB's Crowell, Fletcher, Spikes vs. Hillenmeyer, Urlacher, and Briggs Crowell is every bit the backer Briggs is, Briggs is about 5 pounds heavier, but Crowell has more tackles, sacks and Interceptions You mean to tell me you wouldn't take Spikes over Hillenmeyer, don't even need to break down that body of work Urlacher is the complete package and is a better player than Fletcher. Fletcher is a very good LB, Urlacher is dominant. Overall, this unit is very close in capabilities D Line- Ogunleye and Harris are better than our top 2 linemen no question. Ian Scott is a very nice player inside rounded out with Alex Brown. The Bear's D-line is very strong, the Bills D line is nice. Schobel and the boys in the middle have been doing a very good job but it's foolish to call them close to the same caliber as the Bears line. The Bears are a very strong team and one that should be respected, but not feared. The Bills can win this thing, no doubt but it will take a tremendous effort. I'm just tired of hearing people prop teams up on a pedestal and wave the white flag at the first sight of adversity. Say what you want but I believe in this core of players we have and i'll stack them up against whatever the schedule throws our way. -
The Buffalo, unless it was named Ditka

I agree with him..when a fanbase feels alienated and disconnected with its football team the #1 cure is to bring in Donahoe..errr ummm

WGR's afternoon topic yesterday

I agree...beating the Bears at home vs. a grudge match against the Hurricanes is bigger right now (I even drove down for game 5 of the ECF with some buddies too). I have a distinct hatred for the Hurricanes and their fan base, but a Bills win this Sunday would be a bigger deal. It would put them on the map, and it would let us know that they are indeed for real. -

Isn't this kinda like going into an AA meeting and asking ok now which is better: Scotch or Gum -
Antonio Brown as a DB....that's what he is

Fewell will def help the offense find ways to attack the defense as he knows both the personnel and the keys to the Bears D. I was thinking about this yesterday as well. It also helps that the Offense has been matching up with a Bears style cover 2 since camp

This Bears game has me thinking

I was saying that both teams are built identically on Defense in terms of Scheme and Personnel type But if you Break it down: Safeties Bears>Bills but Whitner and Simpson will be = by seasons end CB Bears<Bills LB Bears = Bills D Line Bears>Bills The Bears D is dominant, the Bills D is very good -

My point was that with both the Bills and Bears having identical makeups as far as scheme and players, whoever executes better wins, whoever has the better players that day wins. It's not a matter of "well we played well but we didn't match up with their personnnel". These teams mirror eachother, and the one that makes the plays will win
