O.J. Simpson to confess - Hypothetically

but the glove didn't fit...THE GLOVE DIDN'T FIT! -
Mularkey: Ok Chambers, on this next play, I want you to go deep with a geigometer and act like you are inspecting the stands for a bomb, this should back the db off. Next, Ronnie Brown, you need to put on a haz mat helmet and line up and right guard. We're going to go with a direct snap to Sammy Morris, who will have cordoned off the area with yellow caution tape. Sammy will then lateral the ball to Harrington who has the bomb sniffing dog on a leash. Harrington goes play action to the dog and finds Chambers who is just finishing up his inspections downfield for the TD. Any questions?

Best hits of all time - Clements
5 Wide replied to daquixers_is_back's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was definetly flying to the ball and putting your body on the line. Does anyone thinks that maybe Clements is playing not to get injured before his payday. He really is a shell of his former self in every aspect. He used to dance and be in peoples faces, now he is just #22. -
Yea it's where the old Ponderosa used to be. Good food

Yea I remember BJ's used to have great wing specials and really good wings too. That was a great town to go to college in. A couple of my old teammates are coming back into town for it so it'll be good to see some faces I haven't seen in a couple years. I've heard the bar scene has really changed, I remember you could hardly walk through most bars at 1am, now you could play 3 on 3 football.

I really find it hard to belive Harrison is 34. Seems like yesterday he almost slipped to the Bills..man I'm getting old.

It's what happens when the power goes out. The teleprompters don't work so they don't know what to say since they can't think on their own.

One thing that will cure a lot of ills ...

Gandy played awful, the worst you can play at your position in the NFL. Was it enough for the coaches to consider changing things over there?? That's the question -
Bills didn't play that bad

The Bills were on the road.....that changes everything. In fact, now that you metion it, it did seem a little weird that there were 72,986 empty seats at the game on Sunday. I just thought I was just a die hard too About the game yesterday, in light of the entire weekend, it was maybe even more disappointing. We know what our city and our area are going through from this storm because we’ve been going through the same thing with our own families. We were hoping this game could bring a little sunshine into the community, but it didn’t. The fact is we didn’t play well enough to win and they beat us over there. -Dick Jauron As far as being in the game, man you need to work on watching games. The Lions dominated both sides of the Ball. The score indicates nothing about how this game was played. -

Yes, they did look lifeless and bland. They allowed a Lions player to go for over 100 yards for the first time in 22 games. They had 3 offensive linemen out of the lineup and still manhandled the front 7. Roy Williams looked like the second coming of Jerry Rice against our corners. Why did they score against Detroit, because they are an NFL team. If your argument is that they scored against Detroit therefor they came to play then that is weak. Why didn't Detroit score every time they had the ball? Nice argument. I never said I thought Detroit would never get a win this season, but against a Bills team that just got whacked and should have been fired up, against a Bills team that just got Spikes back, against a Bills team playing a depleted Lions team, yes they should have won. As for the snow thing..... "You go outside and you look around, and in some places it's absolute devastation. You come to the rink, and the number of people that show up - knowing that there's probably a good number at home with the garage door open and the generator running still - kudos to them. That's a big enough lift to our team." - Sabres Coach Lindy Ruff "We're professionals, obviously, but does it affect you? Yeah, when you don't have power at your home it's going to affect you," Sabres defenseman Brian Campbell said. "But when you walk out there and you see 18,000 fans show up for a game, we'd better show up personally. That's what we had to do." Brian Campbell "The fans did a great job. I guess they needed a release this weekend with so much hardship and inconvenience going on right now. It was fun to get the people out to the rink and those watching on tv and give them a good show," -- Sabres goalie Ryan Miller Next question "buddy" -
I love watching the Bills every Sunday, it's a ritual with a huge meal accompanied every week. It's just tiring to see every other team in the league experience success over the time that we have been mired in mediocrity or worse. I know that the current situation has very very little to do with the new regime, and I buy into their approach, but at the same time, it gets oppressively disheartening to see this product on the field, year after year. I'm tired of playing for pride by the end of October. I want a late season snowstorm game to mean something, to have something on the line.

Nope, they played bad and don't deserve a free pass for it. They got embarassed by the Bears and should have been frothing at the mouth to get back on the field. They were playing a winless team that was losing the support of its fans. Their own community was ravaged by a storm and was looking for a little sunshine to take their minds off of things for 3 hours. They went into Detroit and laid an egg. An emotionless, lifeless egg on the day their "defensive spark" returned to the lineup. They looked bland and disinterested, and they didn't execute. They lost by three but were dominated by Roy Williams and a bunch of guys. I'm not looking for a W every week, but i'm looking for some fire. There is no excuse in the world why Detroit should have handled the Bills, and if you are feeling anything less than disgust over this loss then you have set the bar too low in life. -
I think Evans is really beginning to come into his own. He is making some good catches in traffic and getting some good RAC. He is showing that he is close to being a complete receiver, and not just a burner.

I wouldn't think you actively make a midseason trade for a special teamer though

Oct. 16, 2006 11:45 EDT Breaking Down The Game Buffalo Looks to Regroup ORCHARD PARK (AP)-- Beleaguered offensive line coach Jim McNally has begun the arduous task of breaking down film from yesterday's debacle in Detroit. Buffalo quarterback JP Losman was under seige from the coin toss yesterday from what was thought to be an impotent Lions pass rush. McNally is especially displeased with the performance of his left tackle Mike Gandy. "We're going to take a different approach this week when looking at the performance of our personnel, we're bringing in some unique outside adivisors to get a different perspective". By unique, McNally means James Woytash, Chief Coroner for Erie County. "We felt that by looking at Gandy on tape and live action, we needed the professional opinion to determine if Mike was really just a cadaver posing as a live, breathing left tackle. We're obviously concerned that with about 2 minutes left in the game, our training staff could not detect a discernable pulse from Mike. The coroner is just a precaution we're taking".

Small Quick and Penetrating aint working
5 Wide replied to 5 Wide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm totally calm and resigned to the fact it is what it is this year. Learning a system has nothing to do with getting manhandled out of position. You are correct, 6 games is not a large body of work to base an opinion off of, however the production is so far from acceptable that it needs to be looked at. Our guys are getting blown off the ball, individually losing their assignments, and that has little to do with being a cohesive unit. The scheme may work, but the personnel doesn't. When you lose the one on one battles, the overall picture breaks down. Our line cannot anchor against a power formation. -
I was willing to give this a shot, seeing as how it was a new system and wanted to see what it was capable of. Our quick and penetrating tackles get out of position too quickly and there are 2-3 blockers reaching the second level consistently. When you get gashed by Jones for 127 yards when the Lions hadn't had a 100 yard rusher for 22 games, something is not clicking. This D has good linebackers, but they're negated when you have a 300 pound guard on them. They haven't been able to consistently stop short yardage situations and get pounded up the gut. Something needs to be done.

OMFG that was an abortion out there at LT today. I remember one moment when Gandy gave up either sack 3 or 4 and the announcers said "Gandy makes a crucial mistake, you can't lunge at a speed rusher" So he gets beat physically AND mentally. I thought he was a servicable option, but you don't get made to look that bad even on your worst day.

well my work got cancelled because there's 28" of snow on the ground out there. All I can say is..holy crap. estimated 300,000 around the buffalo metro without power
