Welcome aboard. What's my thoughts on this one? It's the battle of the only two teams to have not made the playoffs this decade. Buffalo is lacking in quality football players, and if you put both your offensive line and our offensive line on the field at the same time, Carr or Losman would still get sacked by a 4 man rush. PS, thanks for Mike Williams

Plantar fasciitis sucks. I had that senior year of college....it won't heal with the schedule he keeps. It makes it very difficult to run with. It's one of those things that takes forever to get loostened up and about 10 seconds to get tight again. PS I can't wait to see Moulds on the other side of the ball.

eye took my money that eye had four rent and put it on the coults to when the game like ewe said two butt they lost so now eye have know home like ewe butt eye did half a forety fore on the back nine

Because they probably feel he needs seasoning, and want to give him a full year to evaluate what they have, but at the same time they don't want JP killing them. They know Holcomb isn't the answer and Nall is just as Green as Losman. Losman does benefit from having no clear cut option behind him.

I do think there is an issue when the coaches game plan keeps Losman on such a short leash. There is a distinct level of mistrust with him at QB and that makes me nervous about how this is playing out.

I would feel like we got a good road win and need the QB position to start getting more productive. Just because you stick your head in the lions mouth and live to tell about it doesn't mean you should keep doing it.

No doubt it's a combination of the two....a chicken or the egg kind of thing. But the play he was referring to is different. If he stepped up in the pocket he would have saved McFarland a couple steps and that's it. Indy ran a stunt. When Gandy didn't have anyone to block immediately off the snap he turned and watched Peters drive Freeney wide. McFarland ducked into the gap and nailed Losman before Gandy even turned back to his position. It's a freaking stunt...teams run them from JV football and on.

Not unless Booger McFarland plays CB

It was on the wgr post game show with schopp and bulldog, they played his comments. I'll try to find them.

Play 1: The Bills run a quick hit up the middle with a draw handoff to fullback Daimon Shelton. Problem is, Shelton doesn't know the ball is coming to him and it bounces off his chest with no attempt to field the handoff Play 2: Tackle Booger McFarland busts up the middle untouched to swallow up QB JP Losman. Guard Mike Gandy who initially has no one to block due to a stunt, turns his back to the LOS to watch Peters drive Freeney up field. McFarland stunts down and goes past Gandy who never sees him as his attention is elsewhere. Play 3: The Bills get a quick 3 and out on defense with Indy pinned deep and the offense is assured of getting great field position to start the next drive. Problem is, they call for a block and rough the kicker prolonging the drive. Why would you call for a block in that situation and not a return? JP Losman spoke of guys continually missing assignments yesterday during his post game press conference. He said that it's not getting beat physically or a problem of being outclassed, it's just seems like it's one guy here or there blowing an assignment which destroys the play.He also went on to say that he is no "great play caller" and just runs what is called. This doesn't give me much confidence in both the ability of the line to stop "missing assignments" and JP to diagnose a game and act accordingly. Just some thoughts.

Although they can play Oregon Trail with absolutely no problem -
"Well it felt good to limit such a good team to only 96 yards and no points on D, but I'd rather have walked out of here with a win today" ---London Fletcher-Baker after the Bills 2-0 loss to Indianapolis.

That brought a tear to my eye....remember when they were good and games were primetime and the stadium was electric....and fans made noise because they were pumped up, not because the other team had the ball and that's what you're supposed to do... -
He's tied for the team lead....

Not at all....he's now a starting running back going against the worst run D in the league this week

Spread em wide and hammer them up the middle. Run Run Run, blow some people off the ball. On D, play press, the Colts rely on timing patterns and they throw to spots. You need to disrupt the timing of the play and get tight. A couple Rosaries and some food poisoning at the Colts hotel would also help.

Official "I Miss The Red End Zone" Thread
5 Wide replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have never agreed with anything more than I agree with what's written in this thread. I hated it when they first changed and I hate it today. Bring back the red end zone. On a side note, I played baseball in college, and in the Cortland outdoor batting cage they have the old astroturf from the field at the Ralph. The floor of the cage is the old red endzone. -
Rodney Harrison = Darrius Kasparitis Harrison is the first to get you after the whistle or with a cheap shot during the play, and he'll be the first one to put his hands in the air and act like he was just kneeling there praying when called on it.

Favre had 5 snaps in Atlanta. He was traded and then came in for Majkowski in Mid September with 5 snaps of NFL experience and made the pro bowl. The others are their NFL rookie seasons, but you knew that already.
-
Favre made the Pro Bowl his first year, Moon threw for 3400 yards, Kelly threw for 3600 yards and 22 Td's. Elway was less than stellar though.

Buffalo is not playing good football right now. Buffalo has not been playing good football for years now. No one expected the Super Bowl this year. Everyone expected the level of on-field competency to rise. Is the competency on the rise...I'm not saying it is, but i'm not saying it isn't, and that's concerning. Break down the long TD to Evans. Losman recognized Evans was open after he broke 10 yards into the clear and was late with the Ball. NFL qb's cannot wait for a guy to get open to get him the ball. They have to get the ball out before the receiver shakes the DB. The window of being open is so small in this league that your timing and instincts have to be razor sharp. If you see a guy is open, by the time you go through your delivery that gap is closed. Those are the inate abilities that I'm not seeing right now. Losman needs the whole season and deserves the whole season, but it doesn't mean I can't be discouraged that he's not making crucial recognitions on the field.
