I think it has everything to do with size for Hangartner. They keep stressing getting bigger up front and Hangartner is not a big man (by NFL lineman standards)
I've seen jerseys ordered from http://borntradejersey.com
Their selection for the Bills is limited, some classic jerseys, Jim, Thurman etc and a few modern ones (Jackson, Dareus) but they are game weight jerseys, not the cheap material.
Well he is an athlete, and it would be interesting to see a QB on the backend playing Defense. Not saying he should actually get playing time or anything but having the perspective of dissecting plays with the QB experience is an interesting notion.
Easy Francis. Skill players at speed positions decline when approaching 30, D-lineman continue to perform well into their 30's. You would sacrifice another 6-7 years of stellar play out of Williams (he just turned 28) for a first round pick? As for the alignment, arguing where they are going to line up is a matter of semantics since the defense is going to be a hybrid of the 3-4 & 4-3 alignments. When playing 3-4, Kyle Williams will likely not be at the nose, i would expect to see Troup or Dareus take that role. In the future i wouldn't ask people to flame you if you don't want to be flamed.
I'll burn the hell out of you for that... not sure if you're just trying to stir the pot a bit or if you are serious, but it's a ridiculous notion to trade Williams, and even the Bills on their worst day would not think of trading him (I hope anyway) As for who starts opposite Dareus, that would be Kyle Williams. They are not planning on using Williams at tackle in their 3-4 alignment so that renders Edwards as a backup in that scheme, which they will not use exclusively. I think Carrington takes the OLB spot held by Kelsay if it comes down to where he needs to be on the field.
I also liked what I saw out of Andra Davis in the middle. He is a large linebacker and thumps in there. He is going to be a nice asset for the team this year in run support.
You didn't spot my sarcasm..... I could care less what they show in the preseason, it's all about getting game speed reps and getting out of there healthy.
I guess my sarcasm didn't shine through as well as I hoped
I agree. Gailey played 5 guys at QB last night. The audacity he displayed by proving that he could try to beat the Bears using 5 different quarterbacks in the same game is laughable. If we have any chance at all the rest of this preseason, we need to just stick with using 3 or fewer quarterbacks and start running the entire playbook, not just all these crazy gadget plays that teams showcase in the preseason to plant seeds in the heads of regular season opponents to make them devote at least a little bit of preparation to them. Open up the playbook, show your bread and butter plays and get ready for next week, let's get back to .500!!!!
He looked like a stiff out there, his man would always get deep penetration into the backfield. It was his time to prove his worth and he didn't rise to the occasion.
Another bright spot of the night I thought was Carrington. The guy looks physically imposing and seems to still have some good speed to his game. A guy who can move at 310 coming off the edge is going to be interesting to watch. He should be able to physically dominate TE's who try to block him and cause some havoc in the run game as well. Here's to hoping anyway!
Jasper was slow off the snap and couldn't disengage from his blockers at all. He looked very, very raw. Poor leverage and just got almost no push 90% of the time. Hope he is a fast learner and can apply what he learned from game 1.
The one thing that makes me nervous about this all being true is listening to Gailey and Nix's interviews from this afternoon. They were very passive and non-committal when asked about Evans.... that's not the mindset of people convinced they need him on the team. I think Evans opens up the field more than he gets credit for. I don't think he is a $9 million dollar receiver, but I don't think he's ready for the scrap heap either.
Not to defend WGR.... but the Edge and 97 rock always gets better live interviews because they are the official station of the team
That said, Shredd & Ragan are great
I have to agree.... I love watching the games but tailgating is half the experience of actually going.... I enjoy some drinks like most, love the food and shenanigans, and guarantee a decent percentage of tickets sold in the last decade went to people who said "well at least we have the tailgating"
I love how they are encouraging people to rendezvous somewhere before the game to ensure they can park close to eachother.... That works, I'll tell my friends from Springville to meet my friends from Batavia and me from the Niagara County to all meet in the same spot....
It's a good day to be a private lot owner...
