It's just his thing. When I first heard Rome, i thought it was the worst show i've ever heard. It's definitely grown on me though. He even says you need to give him about 2 weeks before you start to like his show.

The kid looked good, has good speed and he is strong to the ball. That is not something you can teach, he goes after it strong which will serve him well. Looks like a find to me, now lets see if he can build off it and put together a whole season. Look at our WR situation, UDFA's and a 7th round pick. If he can play, it doesn't matter what round he was drafted in!

I seriously wonder if we might see Brad Smith start to get a couple more snaps at WR now....

Well played... the guy does look fresh this year though. He had a great camp and great preseason, there were actually very few times he rushed the passer last week. He was setting the edge in the run game all day, and then didn't even go back in the game most of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th b/c the 2nd teamers were put in. I know he had a bad couple years, but the guy has some burst back.

It's been a long time since the crowd really had a reason to get riled up. There is still a lot of the story to be written this year but all we need is a reason to hope. Should be a fun atmosphere.

It wasn't a comment to the effect that I think this game will be easy or that he is a trash talker, it was more that his unwavering belief that the Raiders are superior in just about every aspect is funny. He has a height weight speed retort to any possible matchup.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night. You can marginalize Williams all you want, the point is, he is a dominant interior lineman who commands double teams. That doesn't change no matter what you write about him.

Except for last year when he and Wilfork were named 2nd team all pro right?

I guess I don't understand what you're saying.....Williams has been dominant for a few years now, and has been playing at a high level. You don't get named All-Pro, especially in Buffalo, unless you're playing at a high level.

Come on Man.... Seymour is good, but don't go selling Williams short. Just because you haven't heard much of him until now doesn't mean it took him 5 years to start playing, the guy was good from the start. They were still transitioning from the Dick Jauron roster. Marcus Stroud was horrific last year, and Williams was doubled on nearly every play and teams ran away from him. The LB's were a mess with the likes of Reggie Torbor and Akin Ayodele starting for much of the season.

Not being a season ticket holder, I usually go to about 4 games a year just buying individual game tickets. When the seats went on sale, my buddy (who I have gone to the last 11 openers with) said, "I got the opener tickets, a sales rep who I buy from promised me some opener tickets". Yesterday I get a text "bad news, no tix for Sunday". Stub Hub pretty much has garbage seats at inflated prices which leaves me in the precarious position of trying to pick up some tickets from some local wandering businessmen. I know the opener is in high demand, so I wonder what my chances look like at not paying crazy prices Sunday....

You do realize Williams went to the probowl, got mention for all-pro, and is generally considered one of the top 3 NT in the league right?
