With TO going to Dallas & Keyshawn to the Giants..

Over on their board Iggles fans are certain that Moulds will be cut so they say there's no reason to try and work a trade -
I got the same impression.....all he kept doing was talking about his speed.....nothing about routes.....catching in traffic or moving the chains.....I hope he just doesn't run Fly Patterns all day

Moulds given permission to seek trade

Speaking of Green Bay.....Javon Walker has asked to be traded.......anyone think that could be a viable option -
I don't think personal ideological stances have anything to do with the facts of the matter. To say that peripheral details about a given region have little to do with swaying the decision of an athlete presented with similar economic opportunities is off based. Whether you are an established vet with a family to look after....taxes, schools, and the quality of life are legitimate concerns that I'm sure agents look into. If you are a single young budding superstar then you are looking at various aspects such as nightlife and the social atmosphere. Both of these are directly related to the economic health of the city you are looking at.......why do you think McGahee flies back to South Florida throughout the season the second the team is dismissed. Not to mention that the south is taking over as the football factory of the country. These athletes are used to playing in a warmer climate than what Buffalo has to offer. I realize that if Buffalo is offering millions more, then they'd play here if the stadium were floating on an iceberg off the coast of Greenland. I'm just not so sure that the current state of affairs with the team and region don't convey a somewhat less attractive glow than other metropolitan areas swaying our ability to attract these guys. Our main advantage over other cities is cultural...not a tangible statistic that you can easily market to an outsider looking in.

Do you think a bus carrying the 1990 Buffalo Bills being driven by Levy could win the Indy 500??? Who would win in a fight, Marv or a Hurricane......but the Hurricane is named Marv

Bears DE Idonije signs offer sheet with Bills

It doesn't mean the Bills owe him the money no matter what....it means that he will get that contract, be it from the Bills or the Bears no matter what -
Don't get me wrong I love the area and the people...but how do you sell the area and team to a free agent? 1) The team is much more disconnected with the proud tradition it once had and is mired in mediocrity or worse 2) While it seems adequate to us fans, the Stadium is one of the oldest in the league 3) While it is generally nice in the summer, Buffalo has a reputation for a less than tropical climate 4) We have taxes that tax our taxes around here that take significant chunks out of our comparably less significant checks..imagine the hit that an NFL player must consider The culture and quality of life in the area is great and all those that leave miss "home". But how is this sold to someone who just comes into the region and is trying to decide between the rustbelt and the sunbelt.

If we were picking 12th or so i'd prob put my house and car on the line that we'd take Bunkley....I'm just worried that being in the 8th spot the fashionable notion is that it's too high to take the 2nd rated tackle in the draft.....i don't subscribe to this idea as I'd also love to see Bunkley in red white and blue. -
I do have to give Riter some credit at night though....I think he's always been pretty decent at talking on topic and not trying to prove how witty he is all the time

Don't hold your breath for the afternoon either....You'll get to hear Schopp talk about a sweater he got for Christmas 7 years ago and how Bulldog thinks that Cats are overrated

It's pretty easy to sit behind a computer and pretend you're something you're not. You make all these quotes which seem like you're dealing with little man syndrome.....ya know when the runt of the litter barks at anything passing by because they're too insecure with themselves. Making comments about kissing girls and whatever other crap fills your adolescent mind destroys your credibility and is best left at 7th period lunch. You are on this self-serving crusade against a hall of fame coach because he has no prior GM Experience. Would you have considered Mike Holmgren as equally unsuitable as a GM because he made the transition from coaching to personnel as well? The only way to gain experience is through doing something...every great GM was once a rookie GM. I'd say a Hall of Fame coach with a well-known reputation for evaluating character and the intangibles it takes to be a successful NFL player make a pretty solid resume. "Most general managers keep a list of people they consider up-and-comers in their desk drawer," says Polian, who was the Bills' general manager from 1985-1992. "It's based on your own impressions -- people you've met or people you've seen work over time. (Former Buffalo Bills coach) Marv Levy was a great believer in having your scouts scouting coaches as well as players. "He trained me to do this many years ago". "Marv was a great mentor to me for evaluating talent and character".- Bill Polian I think it's time you gave it a rest and come back in October when the proof's in the pudding. -
watch out fact train rolling through

Is there any particular reason for your crusade? I know that everyone needs a reason to wake up in the morning and I'm starting to think that this is yours -
Looking for something to distract me from the god awful sabres game.....that and I don't usually head out till around 10

Marv Levy - The most OVERRATED Hall of Fame
5 Wide replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm speechless.........Jimmy Johnson had Emmitt, Troy, Irvin, and a sick D, Gibbs had the Hogs up front and a sick D, then there's that guy who sucked in Cleveland and then went to New England with some guy named Brady.....good coaches need good players and vise versa......nevermind the testimony of all Marv's former players who credit him to no end.....I don't get the Marv bashing -
Levy on the verge of destroying his legacy.

"never argue with a fool for those watching may not be able to tell the difference" It's a shame that it's not even officially spring yet and there's Mel Kiper imposters popping up writing off the Bills because they didn't sign Bentley, Hutchinson and any other player rated over a 90 on Madden. There's a lot to be said for looking good on paper, but there's more to be said for looking good on the field. Marv is taking guys from under the radar who never fully got their chance to shine for whatever reason and giving them that shot. There is some scouting and evaluation done behind these signings......Marv's not just looking at the list and bringing in whoever his finger stops on. I think we need to give the team a little bit of slack here and put a little faith in what is going on. If it was Donahoe pulling these moves then there would be a reasonable basis for harsh criticism as he has shown a track record of faulty talent evaluation. Marv has proven himself over the years as capable as any other of his associates also enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Before anyone sitting behind their Keyboard calls out an 80 year old man capable of probably running circles around just about anyone on this board, I think you need to let the dust settle before you render a harsh and grotesquly premature evaluation. -
We'd be getting somewhere with Neal coming to town

Most of our FA signings are built for speed.

If the Bills sign Chris Drury then i'd be happy -
you forgot that after about 7-11 plays we'll also be returning a kickoff

anyone know how interview w/ Fabini is goin?
5 Wide replied to billsfan182's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I heard that he may fill the role of Justin Bannan....they want to move him from O-line to DT -
My sources deep within tell me that the Bills offered Pickett 15 beaver pelts and anything he wanted from the 5 & 10

"Buffalo will host two more free agents today, left tackle Jason Fabini of the New York Jets and Packers third-string quarterback Craig Nall. " Per the Buffalo News Lets hope the boys make Fabini feel at home and plug a hole on this team
