  1. I didn't realize having good special teams coverage meant you just didn't give up TD returns. How about just preventing teams from having long returns and not just TDs? There is obviously something else going on with Mike Williams so let's not act he isn't active bc of the kickoff specialist You have failed to offer even one scenario where having a kickoff specialist has cost them yet continue to complain about it. Look at the inactives today and tell me who would hv been active without the kickoff specialist? Bc that player they would have instead of the second kicker would be the difference....unbelievable
  2. Again, has that happened? Better question, are they even dressing less lineman than they would without the kickoff specialist? Coverage units are better than they were last year correct? If that means having a kickoff specialist instead of an extra player who will never see the field so be it.
  3. Has not dressing an extra offensive or defensive lineman cost them this year? If they did dress an extra lineman would that lineman even see the field? No and no so again why is this even an issue?
  4. So who should they have active instead and if they were active to you think they would even see the field? Most likely they wouldn't so why is this even an issue?
  5. I dont know what to make of this game. On one hand I think the Bills defense can keep it close especially since its on the road where these Bills play better for some reason but on the other hand its Peyton Manning and the Broncos who are one of the top two teams in the conference playing a team they are heavily favored against. Couple things not working in the Bills favor. Manning's record vs teams who score less than 21 points is insane and with the Bills offense struggling can they score more than 21 points? Denver has faced 6 top ten defenses this year and have averaged 32 points in those 5 games The keys to this game will be the defensive line getting to Peyton and the ability of the Bills offense to score points.
  6. I thought same thing...amazing and also just sad
  7. I dont think it says anything about Manzeil. Hoyer has started all year and got the team to this point so this is the right call IMO but I do expect a short leash. I dont see how switching to a rookie QB in December who hasnt played much as the better move.
  8. Which down year are you referring to, this year or last year?
  9. easy to say now but with all the attention this got after the Miami game I would have bet the house he would have went for it in the Jets game if the situation presented itself I was surprised he went for it yesterday, i fully expected a punt to pin them deep
  10. Same can be said about Spiller, absolutely amazing how Hackett and Marrone have not been able to utilize these guys as much as he should be...unacceptable this is not on the QB or the offensive line, this is clearly on the guys running the offense
  11. I believe he does and the assumption was before the season there was no way he would excersize it but with the injury there is speculation that he will now excersize it to prove himself on basically a one year deal. Maybe I have blinders on bc I have been a fan of his since college but I still think he can be a really good RB If he hits free agency I fully expect the Saints to make a play for him as he is their type of back IMO, a RB who can catch and hit a HR especially indoors As far as this year is concerned I believe he is eligible to begin practicing on Wednesday so his return off IR is a possibility
  12. I believe the NFL said recently they dont anticipate any changes to the sunday night games this season
  13. Two big plays...needs a new number
  14. Hughes is going to get a ridiculous payday this offseason
  15. Have to beat GB and Oakland then hope Pats don't need the game. Only way I see them getting to 10 wins
  16. I really wish people would ask themselves why would the other team do this or if you were a fan of the other team would you still think this was a good trade when suggesting these ridiculous ideas.
  17. I hear what ur saying but he is the QB and this is a huge game for them. He really held them back from even having a chance tonight and hasn't had a very good year overall. 97 passing yards with 1:30 left in 4th quarter...I don't care who you are playing that's terrible How many times has Seattle run that bootleg right to the TE tonight with success?
  18. Kaepernick just isnt very good How many times has he rolled right tonight throwing off balance and not coming close to completed it
  19. It won't be enough
  20. I actually watched a few Browns games this year and their run defense is terrible. Houston ran it down their throat with their backup RB and a QB making his first start. They did it mainly running the Bills favorite running play so hopefully bills have same success with it. The Browns success on offense depends a lot on their ability to run the ball but they may not be as dependent on it with Gordon back. Can you imagine if they drafted Sammy to team with Gordon
  21. thats the best comment yet
  22. I go back and forth with this but the team has shown mprovement under this staff and because of that I think they get another year I personally am no longer a Marrone fan but you cant deny they are close to being a playoff team and I just dont see Pegula not giving him another year.
  23. There are too many divisions and/or guaranteed playoff births. I thought the league was perfect at 30 teams with 3 divisions of 5 teams in each conference. Four divisions of four teams is just too much. I would reduce it to two divisions of 8 teams in each conference giving playoff births to the two div winners and next 4 best in each conference regardless of division. They could still have sub divisions for scheduling purposes but no guaranteed playoff spots for them. This would pretty much guarantee the division winners were good teams who earned the playoff birth and first round bye. Taking the next four best would also pretty much eliminate the chances of a team like Arizona last year getting screwed. There would always be a chance of a good team with a good record missing the playoffs but it wouldnt be because of a weak division winner getting in.
  24. Think we are seeing the end of Sean Payton in New Orleans Saints are about to move into a tie with Atlanta for first place at 4-7 which is just pathetic. There are too many divisions and/or guaranteed playoff births. A good team in the NFC is going to get screwed bc a team from this garbage division will get a playoff spot and if that's not enough it will be a home playoff game
