EJ Manuel. Our next star quarterback
Max997 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah he really struggled vs JJ Watt by throwing the ball right to him The rest isn't even worth a response -
Hughes only played for one team before the Bills and was blocked by two good players but still managed 8 sacks his last season with Colts before being traded to Bills Not even close to same situation

Where was Cyrus K. this year? I dont get it.

It's pathetic when your second round pick can't even get a single snap the entire season. -
Sanchez would be my choice at QB + offseason wish list
Max997 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You keep mentioning Sanchez being a successful QB and in the playoffs twice. Was that last year? Was it the year before that or the year before that? No it was 4,5,6 years ago which is irrelevant today. Philly's defense is not terrible, their secondary and mainly Flecther is terrible which unless you only watched the second Dallas game you would know and they certainly were not playing from behind all year. Sanchez is a backup and very similar to Fitzpatrick and Orton but with a weaker arm. -
Two teams have given up on him already and he was out of the league most of the year but you somehow think he is a good fit for Bills D-line...do tell why you think that

Marrone/Whaley season ending PC today @3PM
Max997 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So why was Pears playing over Urbik all year? Marrone continues to make comments that contradict his previous decisions -
Marrone/Whaley season ending PC today @3PM
Max997 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even more reason to start EJ vs the Pats to see if he is any better in a game setting. The opportunity was there but this staff just doesn't have a clue -
How about Marc Trestman as OC?
Max997 replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unless Bills fire Hackett which I highly doubt they do its a waste of time to even speculate on another OC -
Sanchez would be my choice at QB + offseason wish list
Max997 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to be kidding me. Did you watch any Eagles games the year? He is s big reason why they are not in the playoffs and will most likely not be back with them even though they also have unsettled QB situation even with Foles. Sanchez is a backup nothing more and I'm tired of backups -
QB search.....no trust in Whaley to get it right
Max997 replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why can't he be trusted? The guy has been the GM for one season. EJ wasn't his pick and from all indications Marrone wanted Orton. -
This makes starting him yesterday even more ridiculous
-
Marrone is old school coaching not to lose which is not something I ever see changing. He would rather punt bc he is worried about not getting the first instead of being aggressive. Further evidence, the Bills had the lead at halftime 8 times this year and went on to score 7 or less in 6 of those games...that is not a co incidence and would hv been 7 of 8 if Jets were not as bad as they were in that first game. Marrone is just as big of a problem as Hackett is but I don't see one going without the other

Le'veon Bell is my pick for MVP Yes they still have Ben but Bell has been s beast this year

Rumor: Polian could return as soon as Monday
Max997 replied to Bangarang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's way past time for Brandon to go. I like Whaley and think he deserves to stay but I didn't like reading how much Polian likes Marrone bc other than hire good defensive coordinators he has completely failed as a head coach. I completely disagree with Polian giving Marrone any credit at all for beating the Packers which was all about the defense the special teams TD. -
Sal Capaccio interview with Doug Marrone on WGR
Max997 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you on Marrone but not much else. The Bills led the league in rushing attempts last year not rushing yards where they finished second. They were only 14th in yards per carry though so overall the line wasn't good last year either and was only able to produce because they ran it so much. The Bills strength is with their defense so why would they have a better record with Rex Ryan who is a defensive coach? That doesn't make any sense and how do you make a statement like that without offering any reasons why you think they would be better? The rest I agree with as the only positive impact Marrone has had on this team is hiring two good defensive coordinators. The offense especially the line is a complete train wreck which is all on Marrone. This team did not make the playoffs this year because of the offense which again is all on Marrone who some will ridiculously give a pass to using the QB excuse. -
Actually it was reported recently they signed a one year agreement to play in Oakland next season. I think it was announced during one of the Saturday games last weekend.

Every game a young QB can play matters...it's called getting experience. And what exactly did I miss, please explain but I doubt you will since you avoided every other question I asked.
-
Way to miss the point completely I guess they wouldn't show up, play hard and try to win if EJ started...what an absolutely ridiculous comment
-
You do realize Seattle the defending Super Bowl champions are a run first team and San Fran was primarily a run first team under Harbaugh getting to 3 consecutive conference championship games and one Super Bowl losing to the Ravens who most would say were also a run first team. I still believe that you win the game at the line of scrimmage and being able to run and stop the run is just as important now as it was 20 years ago especially when you don't have a top 5 QB
-
Whats the point of winning Sunday? What benefit does it serve starting Orton in this game instead of EJ? Wouldn't it make more sense to give EJ the start in a meaningless game? But I guess it's more important to try and win a meaningless game with a veteran QB who may not even be on the team next year instead of playing EJ to see what riding the bench and watching has done for him. Yeah that makes perfect sense...some people get it and some don't.
-
This is all about Marrone trying to get the best record he can so at the end of the day he can defend himself with his record bc that's all head coaches care about
-
I am not a fan of the London games but I really liked waking up and watching the one game at 9:30 AM. It makes perfect sense for the London games to start at that time as it would almost guarantee more viewers of that particular game. I think that was the first London game I actually watched. Going to commercial after a score coming back for the kickoff then going to commercial again is just annoying and makes for a lot of downtime especially since most kickoffs are not even returned anymore. Punting on 4th and 1 anywhere near midfield in the 4th quarter while trailing especially by more than one score drives me insane. Can the Bills for once get an aggressive head coach. Having Thursday night games every week guarantees every team gets a nationally televised game.

Dareus is under contract for next season and isn't going anywhere. Don't understand why you are already worried about what the team will do without him
-
This team was all about getting to the playoffs this year which didn't happen so yes it was a bad season especially considering how good the defense was
