I dont know what Stevie's stats needed to be to turn that pick into a third but with way he was playing at one point i have to believe he was well on his way to getting there until his playing time was cut before eventually not even being active the last week or two of the season.

I get they want to cover all bases but if they had 2-3 leading candidates would they really be interviewing 10 others? I highly doubt they would, why muddy the waters that much.

Interviewing this many candidates tells me they didnt have any leading candidates heading into the search which can be a good or bad thing. I dont think that all of these candidates are being interviewed for the head coaching position even though it may be portrayed that way just to get the interview. Does anyone really think Kyle Shanahan or Greg Roman are serious contenders for the HC position? Doesnt it make more sense the Bills want to interview them as possible OC's depending on who the HC turns out to be especially if its Schwartz? I personally think this many candidates spreads too wide of a net and only extends a process most think is better to get completed sooner rather than later. If I had to make a guess I think it comes down to promoting Schwartz and hiring Kyle or Roman as OC or hiring Reich or Gase and keeping Schwartz as DC. The rest of these candidates just dont make sense to me. I like Pep Hamilton but i dont think he is ready, Hue Jackson, give me a break, Rex Ryan, why when we have Schwartz? The rest fall into similar categories.

I was in my apartment holding off drinking because I was going out later that night to celebrate my 28th Birthday...I immediately started drinking and dont remember much from that night. Absolutely not. They went to the hurry up after using it in one game vs the Oilers I believe and it worked so well they started using it but not full time until close to playoffs. It's funny they started using it though bc Levy hated it and even complained about Bengals using it Kelly always said going to USFL and playing in run and shoot taught him how to read defenses.

After initially thinking he was a lock for the Jets I started to and still do think he ends up with Atlanta. At worst though he sits home and collects 4 mil so I can't really say he loses in this but it would be funny if he doesn't get any of these jobs

I'm not completely buying this as no matter how hamstrung you are which is usually in the passing game you can still design a decent running scheme which he clearly wasn't able to do.

Dalton has also never thrown a single pass with a lead in those playoff games

so you expect them to complete 10 interviews and possibly follow up interviews then hire someone before the weekend? i dont see how that happens...maybe if they were only looking at 4-5 but 10, no way

with as many people they plan on interviewing and considering there will most likely be a second round of interviews and maybe even a third i am not expecting anyone hired for a few weeks

why would Shanahan be both? He has shown zero ability in player personel so this would be a huge mistake in giving any control with drafting or signing players. Why do you think they would get his son Kyle as well when he finally got out from under his dads shadow and is now the OC in Cleveland? Why would they lose Schwartz when he is under contract? As long as Shanahan or any other coach wants to keep him Schwartz will be here since he is under contract.

Why is it likely that Sanchez will be back? I live just outside of Philly and based on what I saw, have read and heard will be surprised if Sanchez is even back as the backup.

What does the design of the routes have to do with the QB? I'm not talking about the fact that Peyton got them the ball but the actual route they are running. If you actually watch the routes they run a lot of them are designed to get the receiver open which has nothing to do with the QB.

So you think Chip would trade the only QB he has on the roster with starting experience who also led the team to the playoffs? I don't see that happening

I don't know if I want any part of Gase mainly bc you don't know how much he is actually responsible for the offense with Peyton who we all know is a control freak. I do however really like how they use their wide receivers with plays and routes designed to get them open instead of just running routes hoping they get open. Might want to update thread title to be little more descriptive of topic.

What USC QB hasn't looked good the last however many years and besides Palmer how many of them turned into good NFL starters? Yes every player is different but you can't deny the history especially since the Pac 12 isn't exactly known for its defense.

What assistance has he received from Arians? He was Luck's OC and QB coach at Stanford before joining colts after Arians left
