You're assuming the Bills would hv interest in the other free agent TE's which may or may not be accurate Clay is a unique player and isn't a true TE so I'm not sure their interest in him means they are intent on signing a free agent TE

Julius is my free agent bust for this year. Peyton can make any TE look good especially when they are single covered all game. I'm not saying he isn't good but he won't come close to the numbers he put up in Denver or to justify that contract

This is like one of those save our show petitions when someone's favorite show gets canceled. If the team has decided to move on from Fred do you really think this petition will change that? I like Fred as much as anyone but when you think about it he would be at best the number 3 back on this team, doesn't play on coverage units and makes 2.7 million so after some initial shock at the rumors it really wouldn't be that surprising if it happens.

ive been saying same thing but some people dont agree with it for some reason Salary cap space is a soft number that can change at any given time so worrying about it is a waste of time. If a team wants to sign a player and that player wants to sign with that team a deal will get done.

Dareus will get done and will get a contract more along the lines of what McCoy got in Tampa then what Suh got. Im not worried about Dareus at all actually and think he is the one person the Bills would use the franchise tag on if needed. The only concern would be if Dareus just didnt want to be with the Bills but i dont see that being the case so Im confident he will get extended at some point. Players also seem to love playing for Rex so playing one year under him if a deal doesnt get done before this season can only help as well. Cap is also expected to really jump next few years with new TV deal kicking in.

They have plenty of room to sign Hughes without cutting anyone so resigning Hughes and cutting Fred if they both happen will hv ZERO to do with each other Fred is at best the number 3 back on this team right now making 2.7 mil but doesn't play on the coverage units so unfortunately that all adds up to the end of his great Bills career

If the Bills do resign Hughes I highly doubt they would be looking to add another 7-8 mil player which is what Bulaga is rumored to want

How is cutting a player in March a classless manner? Wouldn't it be worse to keep him around through camp only to cut him then leaving him without a team and waiting for an injury? Seriously come on Cutting him now would give Fred plenty of time to find a new team before they make other signings.

Bc there is speculation bills may sign Powell and if they do it would likely be at the expense of Fred Jackson although it's starting to sound like Fred may be gone regardless

That was my first thought as well. I really like Ingram though...somehow the Saints just keep on rolling and just confirms that if a team wants a player they will find a way to sign him regardless of their cap situation.

Dareus isn't going anywhere and is the one player IMO they would use the franchise tag on. Suh is not a 3-4 NT and will command more then they are paying Mario which is a lot Kyle Williams will be 32 in June so trading him would not bring a good pick in return

Bc bad teams are usually the ones who overpay for players like Hughes who are good not great players. Jacksonville immediately comes to mind, maybe the Bears, etc
