  1. Thanks, Dad. I wasn't sure if I liked the show or not, and gosh, I wasn't allowing myself to be entertained My point was that I notice the over-the-topness a lot more this season, which interferes with my suspension of disbelief and makes season six (so far) imo not as good as season five, which i think was awesome. It seems like they are trying extra hard to out do last season, whereas before the scale of the over-the-top-ness seemed to natuarally increase, which imo is generally more conducive to a smoothly functioning plot. This does not mean I don't enjoy the show quite a lot still. This last episode I thought was the best since the first four of this year, with the whole russian consulate thing and Powers Boothe as the VP coming into the show, who I think is an awesome choice for that role. The action was constant, non stop, we didn't get to see graham's dumbarse wife or son, morris didn't whine and complain, etc.
  2. Yeah, I know what you mean. Ever since I saw Chloe Seveigny blow Vincent Gallo in "Brown Bunny" I just can't take her seriously any more
  3. . he hasn't been the same since the knee injuries
  4. Rome is a great show for sure. But the ratings are poor. I'm still pissed about Deadwood. Same thing, poor ratings. Like everyone else I will be glued to the last season of the Sopranos on April 8th. I really like season 6, the dream sequences etc. Carnivale was excellent too imo. poor ratings did it in though. Oz was awesome! pretty much the show that started HBO's dominance of good TV Entourage is great. Curb your Enthusiams is great. haven't seen extras, although i'm not really a huge fan of ricky gervais so i don't know. Six Feet Under is a great show, although i never watched it religiously Haven't seen Big Love. Anybody? Oh, Mr. Show
  5. From what I've read about Superstring Theory, it seems like some physicists like Brian Greene think that it may be the link between quantum and newtonian/general relativity, that it may one day lead to a GUT. I am not a physicist but it is very interesting. What say you about superstring theory?
  6. Yeah, I heard that too. Haven't heard anything since about it. The show itself is cancelled, though, which really blows because it was a great show.
  7. if Okoye goes at nine, this board will crash harder than Bandicoot
  8. you hit the nail on the head about rhodes wanting too much money to be a 1a. that is the big problem with him and the reason why it's probably not going to happen. but is someone going to pay him starter money to be the guy? Maybe, but that would be a big mistake imo.
  9. Last Season of The Sopranos starts April 8th So does entourage (not last season, but latest season) Deadwood is cancelled, yo. Big Love starts in August.
  10. Who's being sarcastic? I'm just still concerned about whether the Bills have the worst Defense in the NFL now, on March 6th..... Truth. At least they got rid of Harrington. I personally think Culpepper is highly overrated. But will the phish draft Quinn if he's still on the board? I think Cam Cameron might pull that trigger. Exactly. Especially that last sentence.
  11. Okay, fair enough. It just seems like if the Chiefs, who play a cover 2, are getting rid of him to upgrade the position to Napoleon Harris, then it just doesn't seem like Mitchell is someone that the Bills would be interested in.
  12. perhaps the one move that everyone on this board will give a
  13. It makes zero sense that the Bills would bring in any defensive player that wasn't suited for the Cover 2, even as a backup. That would be just wasting a roster spot.
  14. I know because I have thrice weekly seance sessions with Tom Modrak via remote channeling. We both belong to our local chapters of the American Association for the Advancement of Psychic Mind Melding. Next question?
  15. Rhodes and Brown aren't replacements for McGahee. They would be a replacement for A-Train. Even if we traded McGahee, we would still pick up someone else to be the 1 guy, with Rhodes or Brown being the 1a, in the same vein that Rhodes was for Addai.
  16. The Chiefs got rid of him because he wasn't suited for the Cover 2 Defense. Next question?
  17. Good thing winning football games is not done in March by the free agent chess match, then. This is a cart before the horse thread.
  18. If your city is a certain amount of feet above sea level, then your salary cap is a percentage wise higher due to the extra exertion required to play in the thinner air.
  19. I love it when a contrary opinion is also equated as "you have no right to your opinion". Let's take a look at the OP, shall we? Title of Thread: Do the Bills now have the worst defense in the NFL? Answer: Quite Possibly, if we played the game tomorrow. Fortunately, this is not the case. This question is intentionally inflammatory and is in itself a misleading way to frame the debate. There is no way to judge on March 4th if we have the worst defense in the NFL! There is just no way! You expect to engage in some kind of ritzy ditzy dialogue when the question under debate is completely without proper context. You pompously lecture me and others about "finding another forum" and busting up "teenage cliches" etc. etc. LMFAO when you yourself are guilty of focusing the debate upon a fallacy of a question. Fair enough. Some would say, other than the Pass D improvement after the bye week, that it was bad the whole year. But I understand your point and your opinion. I think most people will agree with this. Still waiting for the explanation of the original question of this thread.... How do you mean to show us through evidence or concrete method of analysis that the Bills NOW have the worst Defense in the NFL? Now as in "Today", not "next season".... Okay. Your opinion. You make a rather large blanket assumption and generalization though. Perhaps you are privy to some super insider information, however, so this is not a matter of your opinion. How does "There are really no solutions in FA" explain and or offer evidence about how we NOW have the worst Defense in the NFL? What is your method of analysis that can offer evidence that will prove to me that on March 4th we now have the worst defense in the NFL? Oh really? I assume then you have a time machine. Once again, how do we NOW have the worst Defense in the NFL? You B word about my sarcastic response so I will take you to the absolute letter of your response. The title of this thread takes completely the wrong tack on approaching the issue that you want to discuss. How is this progress? You want there to be a fundamental judgment on the Bills progress from last season to next year's! season on March 4th of the offseason in between the years! Can you now begin to understand how shortsighted your whole title and original post was? And you then deign to judge me because you and huff and puff about finding another forum and looking down your nose like an elitist superior schmuck? Get your schit straight and watch your wording and I won't be so sarcastic next time. Until then, a thread like this one will provoke such responses from people who think like me because, speaking for myself, I am tired of threads like this one that say the sky is falling on March 4th when there is practically an infinite amount of things that can happen until next season and practically an infinite amount of things that can happen during the season that will then allow us to have a proper discussion of whether we have the worst defense in the NFL. IMO
  20. It's March 4th. The regular season starts tomorrow. OH SHEET WE'RE PHUCKED!!!!!!!! *YAWN*
