  1. Yes, that about says it all.
  2. actually, that is a good point, kelly. he would be good as a 3rd down back, maybe motion him in and out of the backfield, etc. It would give a whole other facet for the defense to worry about.
  3. yes, that's what the is for!
  4. You obviously haven't been on this board much in the last year or so, that's all I'm sayin....
  5. HA HA, yes, that is the winner.
  6. Thank God you made this thread, then, because people didn't have a reason to speculate to begin with.
  7. This is the single funniest thing I have ever read on this board.
  8. Did you actually read what you typed above before posting it? Just curious.
  9. Easy Killer, nothing's happened yet! I will say that if we trade McGahee and if we sign Brown, that we will draft a RB on Day One to platoon carriers with Brown in a 1 and 1a type of deal, ala Addai and Rhodes. This makes sense. There is no way they would trade McGahee without a plan to at the very least replace his production if not have a good chance to far exceed it. If you think that Marv thinks substituting Chris Brown for McGahee will do this, then you really underrate his football saavy and knowledge IMO. At the very least, someone will be platooning with Brown if we sign him.
  10. Pretty much click on any thread on the first page and you'll find a plethora of responses to your questions.
  11. Willis staying or not has nothing to do with being a fan of his. And a plethora of rumors does not a traded running back make. Any other reality adjustments needed?
  12. what NFL RB wants to be a backup? Reality and Ego, the twain shall never meet in the mind of an NFL RB
  13. Where on this board is the giant love fest for Chris Brown? if there is a general consensus on him, it is that he is an upgrade over A-Train for the backup RB position and a decent option for a stopgap 1a role to another RB, a draft pick, most likely. It is obvious that Chris Brown will not be the 30 carry guy. Just a cursory glance at his career will show this. Obviously Marv and co. know this. He does, however, represent an upgrade in terms of talent over A-Train, who was always only a #2 and not really a 1a like Rhodes was in Indy.
  14. Every time you post "A-Train should be our #1 RB" today I'm going to repost "you're really on a WTF roll today, aren't you?" If Brown signs, anyway, he will not be the man. He will split carries with somebody.
  15. Hmmm, interesting.... we shall see... speculation abounds.... rhodes probably wants more money than brown, and brown has more talent than rhodes, so if they can sign brown for the right price then it will be a great deal to have him as a #2 or 1a with someone else, if we have our eye on a first day draft RB, which we must, i imagine, if we sign brown and trade mcgahee, especially considering brown's injury history.
  16. you are on a WTF roll today, aren't you?
  17. I am sworn to secrecy about what they really are calling it these days. Evidently, if the real name gets out into the open, especially onto a board like TSW, the internets might go kablooey and all civilization might be engulfed in the quantum shock waves
  18. Corey Dillon as a backup RB is superior to A-train imo.
  19. I won't know if this is "good" or "bad" until all respective maneuverings and transactions regarding the RB position have been completed and the new/old players take the field with each other. But perhaps I am just old fashioned and want to see people perform before rendering judgment *shrug*
  20. You have got to be kidding me, right?
