Damar Hamlin - Now (1/11/2023) discharged from Buf Gen & “recovering at home”
H2o replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just read that he's intubated at the hospital. Scary. I hope and pray he's alright. It doesn't look good right now. I'm no doctor, but that didn't really look hit related to me. -
The Phins; from 8-3 to 8-8. An epic collapse
H2o replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Dolphins hype was just that, hype. The media wanted to make an MVP out of Tua and COY out of McDaniel. They were crowning them as the team that would knock off Buffalo as the AFCE Champs. Sorry about your luck. Hopefully they fall flat next week too. -
2022 NFL Week 17 (January 1, 2023) GDT Dolphins @ New England
H2o replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think people are souring on him pretty quick. And now the proof is out there he's not only a meh QB, but a dirty SOB as well. I just want NE to win enough to continually stay in QB limbo year after year. -

Mac has an absolute noodle for an arm. It rivals Pennington after two shoulder surgeries -
Not really overly concerned about anyone. But, any given Sunday. Ya know?

Would you consider the Boogie Basham pick to be a disappointment?
H2o replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is exactly what the Bills did with Epenesa as well. They list him at 260lbs now, but I bet he's in the low 250's. When Epenesa was at Iowa he played around 280lbs. That's a lot of functional strength you are taking away from guys having them drop weight in such a manner. Basham, however, is still listed at 280lbs. He's probably only a few lbs under that, somewhere between 270-275lbs. It's not as much as AJE dropped heading into his rookie season without a TC due to Covid. -
This will never happen. The media is still acting like it never happened as well, saying "Tua's second concussion of the season" while looking like donkeys. Every single one of us who just watch the game, and all of the former players who are now analysts KNOW that Tua had a concussion against Buffalo in that first meeting. The back injury horse manure never held up from the second they tried to use it. If I am Miami, I am looking for a viable starting option in the offseason. Tua should retire, but he won't. They need to protect themselves and bring in a legitimate mid-tier starter to compete with Tua for the job if he's coming back. Or, they need to release him and move on altogether. They have a solid defense. All they need is to upgrade the RB position and bring in a QB to run a West Coast timing style offense. Don't be surprised if this is where Jimmy G lands in 2023. In the Jets case? Mike White is meh, but the players like him. All of us know how tough the son of a biscuit is after the game against us for sure. In reality though, is he actually a solid option. I think they re-sign him for good backup type money on a 2 year deal and see how he looks with Breece Hall behind him next year. Their defense is REALLY good and should only get better as they continue to grow. I actually believe the Jets could be our toughest comp in the division the next couple of years, especially if they can ever get that OL together.

Chris Simms says whoever Tre is covering will be open
H2o replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tre has shown some flashes, but he's still getting back up to speed. It happens when you miss over a year of on field action. I fully expect us to be ready for Monday night defensively. I also expect Tre to be a key part in that plan doing his 1/11th on the boundary. -
Something else to think about. If the Bills beat the Bengals, they will have beaten 8 out of the 10 teams even in the Playoff hunt in the AFC. The other two they haven't had to face this year.
-
Both Phil and Chris Simms loved them some Zach Wilson going into the draft. They thought he was the #1 prospect. There were more than a few who did. There were also others who looked beyond the obvious talent to talk about how he handled situations when pressured or his first read wasn't there. I was nervous when the Jets drafted him. I thought he had an Aaron Rodgers type of feel watching him play at BYU. Boy am I glad I was wrong and am watching the Jets suffer from a self-inflicted wound again.

No one is signing OBJ until the 2023 cycle at this point. They keep trying to throw Dallas out there, but Jerry isn't handing cash to someone who will not even work out. OBJ's just playing his own little game right now and trying to keep a little bit of spotlight on himself. Those prima-donna types feed off of it.

Texans LT Laremy Tunsil Wants to be Highest Paid Tackle
H2o replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
They can shift around $$$ and make it look like he is the highest paid LT without investing too much at the position. They can basically give him the same contract Williams got, with another $5-10M guarantees. Then they can spread things out over that span. It's really not that hard, unless Tunsil is being difficult trying to force their hand to do something irrational. If he is? Just trade him to a team willing to pay him, recoup what you can rather than releasing him for nothing, and move on to the next one. -
White on White vs Bengals, primetime Uniform history added

I like Xavier Hutchinson, even though some may not. He has basically been Iowa St.'s only option in the WR group this year, the defense knows it, and they still can't stop him from getting the ball. He has accounted for 1/4 of his team's total yards on offense. He's 6'3" and somewhere between 205-210lbs. The boy can ball and is a solid Day 2 prospect. I also like Cedric Tillman from Tennessee. He's another solid, Day 2 prospect imo. Injuries held him up a bit this year, but the guy is talented and understands how to play the position on many levels. He uses tempo, route running, his size, and can turn on the speed when needed. Another 6'3" 215lb WR who would be a good target for Josh in this offense.

Malik Willis benched in Tennessee, Titans will start Josh Dobbs
H2o replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, even if Tannehill was playing the Titans probably get rolled tonight. Trot Dobbs out there and let him get beaten to death by Lawrence and Parsons. -
Weird....... It's like Carr has missed Waller and Renfro, who both missed a chunk of the season. It's like McDaniels had a HC gig before, and failed miserably at it then also. Carr isn't a bad QB, he's just not an elite QB. His OL can't really pass block, his defense can't stop a nosebleed (outside of what Crosby brings to the table), and his HC is another retread bum.

Russell Wilson and His Divisive Entourage
H2o replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall
Russ is a fraud. He's more worried about being an entertainment industry type than he is a football player. I'll say it again, Pete Carroll is a genius. -
At this point, probably. Tua has had 3 in one year though, and one was quite horrific
-
Tua needs to hang up the cleats. He's not built for this. It would be in his best long term interests.

Sean Payton is going to have his pick of openings this off-season. I imagine the Broncos will put the full court press on as well.

The Bills beat the Bears because.... (karma reasons only)
H2o replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I stayed off of the board for the entirety of the game. Kind of glad I did when I browsed through the threads afterwards.
