  1. Flowers plays in the ACC, Boston College And Tutu Atwell was the size of a middle school kid. Common sense should have told anyone to stay away from him.
  2. Can you imagine Jets fans if this ended up being the case? First they hire Hackett as OC, then trade for Dak.
  3. Flowers reminds me A LOT of Stef.
  4. Zay Flowers IS that dude
  5. Most of the Jets fans are not really happy over here: https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/nathaniel-hackett-hired-as-oc.98623/
  6. Frazier is calling the plays and is responsible for the playbook. The other guys are just position coaches.
  7. .................
  8. I don't think Kromer was the problem. You can't polish a turd.
  9. White's injury was more extensive than Miller. They didn't even know Von's was torn until they went in to clean up some cartilage and found out. White also plays CB, a much more demanding position on your knees. White apparently had some mental issues the first couple of months after the surgery as well. It was his first major injury of any kind. He said he was locked in a basement and basically had to be dragged out. Von's already out on his own and rehabbing to get back. He attacks things differently. I do think Von could miss the month of September, possibly even October, but I bet he gets in at least 8-9 games and is good to go once he gets back on the field.
  10. I have some targets in mind. Free up enough to do the following in FA. FA: Re-sign Phillips, Lawson, Boettger, Jackson, Dodson, Martin Jakobi Meyers / WR - 3 years, $36M, $24M gtd (Somewhere around that would probably get it done). Meyers is a good WR who has put up solid numbers with mediocre QB's. He will really take off with Josh throwing him the rock. He's 6'2", has some route versatility, and has good hands. He would be a really good #2 to Diggs and would allow Davis to move back to the #3 or #4 role since the adjustment to #2 was hard for him He's also $7M-$8M per year cheaper than Hopkins and wouldn't cost us any draft capital. Isaac Seumalo / G - 3 years, $42M, $28M gtd (somewhere around that would probably get it done). You want to improve the OL around Josh? It's gonna cost some money. But if we want to get to the SB, we have to build the OL. Seumalo has allowed 1 sack all year on over 1,100 snaps and is part of the #1 OL in the NFL. He plays RG now, but could play either G spot on the line. Immediate upgrade. Draft: R1 #27 - Zay Flowers / WR / Boston College - The young man reminds me A LOT of Stefon Diggs and would be an absolute BEAST playing the Slot in our offense. This would give us a crazy amount of weapons and versatility in our passing game. The WR group becomes Diggs, Meyers, Flowers, Davis, and McKenzie. This would be huge for Josh. R2 #59 - Darnell Wright / T / Tennessee - Darnell Wright was very good at RT for Tennessee this year. He gave up 0 sacks against SEC competition. This is what we need, a guy who can keep Josh upright and clean. This also pushes Spencer Brown to the bench. R3 #91 - Dorian Williams / LB / Tulane - I've seen varying opinions on Dorian Williams, but the guy is solid in coverage and brings the Thor hammer with him every time he hits somebody. Attitude, attitude, attitude. You can see that demeanor he has on the field and he wants all the smoke. He reminds me A LOT of Nick Bolton. He has a closing burst that is second to none. I think he can be our Day 1 starting ILB so I'm pulling the trigger. R4# 128 - Jarrett Patterson / G / Notre Dame - Patterson was one of the highest rated G's in the land this year. He allowed 0 sacks for the Irish and is good in the run game. He is a plug-and-play NFL starter at G and can also play C as well. The additions of both he and Seumalo would be the stability Josh needs on the interior of this OL. R5 #135 - J.L. Skinner / S / Boise St. - An All Pro in Poyer is going to be tough to replace. It will be nice to get Hyde back this year. Who knows if Hamlin will ever be able to play again. Skinner is a 6'4" 220lb plus athlete who brings bad intentions behind his pads. The guy he studies and crafts his game after is Kam Chancellor. He is also solid in coverage, but can be a bit stiff. Still, the athleticism at his size and his temperament are a big draw. He could be a steal for us in the 5th. R5 #160 - Derek Parish / DE / Houston - He's a little on the light side at about 250lbs, but the young man gets after it. He'll use a variety of both power and finesse moves to beat the OT and get to the QB. He's needs some refinement in run defense, work on setting an edge and finishing against the RB. Still, the rush ability alone is worth the draft slot here. After the FA and the draft the WR group is fixed, the OL is fixed, we have a replacement for Edmunds, and some depth.
  11. Bright Spots: Starts with Josh Allen. One of the better QBs in the league. One of the BEST QB's in the league, not one of the better. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, that is the upper echelon right now. Allen also is the QB who has achieved more with far less around him. As far as everything else Beane said goes? We just might be in trouble. Already talking about throwing cash Tremaine's way and saying they will be too cap strapped to do much else. No mention of possible shakeups on the staff, none of that. Talking about Davis transitioning to a full-time starter like it's an excuse. Making excuses for Spencer Brown. I mean, come on guy. All of this is crazy to me right now.
  12. So..... If you're not a "detractor", does that mean you are a "protractor" looking for new angles of defense?
  13. Von is in a different spot. His knee injury wasn't as extensive as White. He also doesn't play as demanding a position on the knees like White. I think Von will be a full go by October, and back to his old self.
  14. I think Tre will look more like himself by next August.
  15. When Von went down our defense went from 3rd in pressure percentage to in the mid-20's. He was the one opening up things for everyone else, because he still commands that much attention. Hopefully he can come back fully healthy by October. His faults as a pet are your failures as an owner.
  16. For reference, look at the schedules for the entire AFCE. Everyone has pretty much the same ride next year outside of two teams each plays. Combine this with the fact 0 moves have been made and there is absolutely no way to pin anything about next season. https://fbschedules.com/2023-miami-dolphins-schedule/ https://fbschedules.com/2023-new-york-jets-schedule/ https://fbschedules.com/2023-new-england-patriots-schedule/
  17. This, my friends, is how rivalries are born and hatred is bred. You can bet money that next year's game will be circled on the calendar from the moment the schedule is released. I also fully believe in the "you reap what you sow" principle and there are more than a couple guys on that team who will catch it in due time.
  18. The season isn't even officially over yet. There have been no moves made outside of reserve/future contracts. No FA. No draft. No trades. We have no idea what the 2023 rosters are going to look like. No TC. No NFL wide injuries for the new year. Nothing. But you "don't see the Bills making the Playoffs next season."
  19. Maybe Lawson, Phillips, Martin. Edmunds is going to be too expensive so to the rest
  20. The Bengals won't win it all. They will either lose this week to the Chiefs or in the SB to the Eagles/Niners. Watch.
  21. I want Leslei Frazier gone above all else. If they fire Dorsey? So be it. I do remember though how much beef we all had with Daboll his first couple of years, and even through last year a bit with some of the play calls and how much he ran Allen. All of these people acting like they believed he was the best coach on the staff? Yeah, 90% of you are lying through your teeth.
  22. "A deal that is fair"? ....... A partially eaten donut good?
  23. Nate Davis (TEN) is another G I would look at as well. Andre Dillard (PHI) or Calvin Anderson (DEN) might be worth a flier at T. The depth wouldn't hurt if nothing else became of them, but I do believe they would be upgrades to what we previously trotted out this year.
