Yeah, he needs to add some "good" weight to his frame. 10-15lbs will do, and he can do so while retaining his explosiveness.
-
Motor is alright, but he's slow. Shifty, a quality blocker, but slow. We can find a late round RB or UDFA with those same traits. He's also not a short yardage guy either. The $$$ can be better spent elsewhere. D'Onta Foreman could be had for cheaper than that and is a better option for what we need.

He retired

Yes, but has VanNess started his undetectable steroid regiment?

OT…Daniel Jones about to be a very very rich man
H2o replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I really doubt that. With his extensive injury history dating back to college, and now the concussion saga in the NFL, I don't know if he even gets a 2nd contract. -

Uhhhhh, if he is found guilty then he faces a lot more than a hefty fine. -

No one is going to give Jones $45M per season. DJ's agent: -
I kind of expected this. It's a year too late for him on a personal level. He basically destroyed his family to come back for an 8-9 season and a 1st round exit in the Playoffs. There's really nothing left to prove when you have 7 rings. He also has $37M per year coming his way to call games. Hopefully he let's it go this time. Father Time is undefeated.

The 4 SB's for me were 9th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade, and 12th grade. It taught me how to love my teams, but be able to detach emotionally and not let people get to me. A lesson learned due to the fact any given day 400 people could end up mouthing off to me about what happened. Do I still get frustrated by things at times and carry it in the moment, or a day or two after? Absolutely. But the people who say things can't really get under my skin.

Should QB Compensation Be Carved Out of the Salary Cap?
H2o replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
It works for the teams who draft well and spend the rest of their $$$ on the right people. -
Should QB Compensation Be Carved Out of the Salary Cap?
H2o replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just because you have a Franchise QB doesn't mean you have to have a bad team around them. You have to draft well and spend the rest of your $$$ wisely. Brady, Ben Ro, Mahomes, Manning, Rodgers, Brees, and so on. All of these guys took up large portions of the Salary Cap and still had good enough to win the SB teams around them. -
Should QB Compensation Be Carved Out of the Salary Cap?

I say it's just the nature of the beast. You have to navigate the situation and draft well is what it boils down to. People will continue to get paid other than QB's, with some teams investing more in them than others. QB will always remain a large chunk of a team's salary cap, especially those fortunate enough to have Franchise one who gets to that 2nd contract or beyond. -
If the Bills would have listened to me (and Kiper) and drafted Jimmy Clausen in 2010 the drought would have immediately been over. We would be calling Clausen the GOAT instead of Brady as we'd have won at least 7 SB's ourselves. Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix would have already been inducted into the HOF. He would have single handedly ended world hunger, brokered world peace, and prevented climate change. The world would have been a completely different place.

Bills 2022 Offensive and Defensive Splits
H2o replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
The 2nd Half scoring on offense is pretty telling. Possibly teams figured out what we were doing and made necessary adjustments coming out of the half. It could also be complacency because we had a lead. These guys need to put their foot on the gas and bury teams versus letting them hang around in any way, shape, or form. -
The guy who brought everyone down was Saffold. Saffold is the leech here, sucking the life out of the rest of the OL with his ineptitude. Feliciano was better than him at LG and D. Williams was better at RG than Bates. We need to upgrade the pieces before we start throwing beach chairs at people.

Cowboys looking for an OC - part ways with Moore
H2o replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moore is going to the Chargers. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/30/chargers-announce-kellen-moore-as-their-new-offensive-coordinator/ -
$11M for a Slot WR is steep. He was great in 2021, pre-Josh McDaniels. He had the concussion this year, but was never incorporated in the same manner on offense either. Just my 2.
-
You can't just keep shoving the money back. It's always going to catch up to you at some point. We also better not hand a LB $18-$20M with all of the holes everywhere else on the roster. That in itself would be stupid. They're better off letting both Poyer and Edmunds walk then looking towards the draft for replacements.
-
With the cap situation we are in, I fully expect Edmunds to be elsewhere next year. Too much money to pay him what the market is at and WAY too much money to use the FT on him.
