This is one of those deals where the stats don't tell the whole story. Russ is a vet. He should be able to pick up on things fairly quick at this point as there isn't much he has not seen. He's having a problem running Sean Payton's offense the way Sean wants it run. He also misses wide open WR's on the field an awful lot, and has since he arrived in Denver. Can't tell you how many times he's had guys wide open for what would have been drive extending plays, chunk plays, or TD's and he just doesn't see them. He's also holding onto the ball, A LOT, and it's led to him being sacked 3 times a game on average. This doesn't count how many other pressures or hits he takes because he's back there looking clueless at times.

Wilson to NY straight up for Daniel Jones

I don't. It's all about the #1 seed for them. They'll be up for next week against the Phins.

The hits keep coming. First Purdy's MVP chances go down like the Titanic and now they lose their All-Pro LT.

Shanahan is one of the best in the business at getting production out of RB's, and yes the team around him is good, but he had a couple of monster years in Carolina too when he was healthy enough to play 16. He's one of only 3 players to have both 1,000+ yds rushing and 1,000+ yards receiving in a single season. The other two are Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk. It's not all the team he's on.
-
I said it in the MVP thread, that it should be CMC. CMC would be a monster with or without Purdy. Purdy wouldn't be having nearly the success he's had without CMC. He's gonna have well over 2,000 total yards and 25 or more total TD's.

Abracadabra, cap space be cleared.

I call it finding a way to win. For the 5th time this year, Josh goes right down the field so the team can get a lead in the last 2 minutes. We had three turnovers to their none, and gave up 13 points off of those turnovers. The defense did their job after Josh took us down the field and Bass knocked one through. Ed Oliver had one of those "closer" moments getting a huge sack. I was just talking about this in another thread a couple of days ago, how I feel Ed and Floyd are our "closers" this year. You can sit over there and be all mad eating your fruitcake. I'll be happy we're still in the hunt and control our own destiny. I don't care if we win ugly the rest of the year. Just win baby.

Well, Gabe's mom, you done trippin for the rest of the regular season? 6 targets, 4 catches for 130 yds and a TD.

A win is a win, and we need two more to get in. Go Bills!

Who’s the best QB prospect in the ‘24 draft class?
H2o replied to bills6969's topic in College Football
I don't see it when he's out there on the field. -
I think we actually have those this year in Ed O and Floyd. Ed is having his best season by far and we all see what Floyd brings to the table. I like either of those guys to disrupt a play when we really need it.

I like our chances with JA17 regardless. The supporting cast is definitely better though. I love Cook. The guy is #2 in the NFL in rushing right now, but is only #11 in rushing attempts. His YPC is 2nd only to CMC for a team's featured RB as well. Murray and Johnson give us altogether the best stable of RB's we've had since we had both Marshawn and Fred in the backfield. Diggs is still Diggs. I like the step forward we have seen from Shakir this year. By next season he should truly by holding down that Slot position and doing some work. Outside of him, Gabe is still Gabe (inconsistent) and the rest of the WR's have been meh. Kincaid has the chance to be a REAL weapon in this offense. He gets open, he's usually sure handed, knows how to use his body for leverage, and is a good route runner at the position. Knox, if nothing more, is a high end #2 TE at this point (even though his salary says he should be more). The OL is better this year than last for sure. Dawkins is having probably his best season. McGovern is a definite upgrade over the " Pro Bowl" LG Saffold. Torrence is much better than Bates was last year. The weak link is still Spencer Brown. In the run game he is solid, but he gets abused as a pass blocker multiple times a game. The biggest differences overall in the offense is the use of Cook out of the backfield as a receiver (any of the backs really), adding a guy like Kincaid for Josh, and the switch to Joe Brady at OC. Brady is doing some really good things right now, especially in the run game. The more time he has to implement his route concepts like he used at LSU, the ones that helped make that LSU offense one of the highest powered of all time, that same offense that helped make Burrow, Edwards-Helaire, Jefferson, and Chase 1st Round picks, we'll see it open up even more. IMO, he is the biggest difference right now. I also think that Brady "gets" Josh and we'll see the relationship grow even more as time goes along.

The Vibe of this Team feels different… to me at least
H2o replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do like what I'm seeing out of this team as of late. I think we are absolutely dangerous right now, and especially if we get into the Playoffs. Our backs are against the wall. This team knows they have to basically win out to get in. Still, I remember our backs being against the wall before and losing to the Steelers 2nd and 3rd string to miss the Playoffs. Any given Sunday anything can happen. I hope we string together a beautiful 3 weeks of football, on top of what we've seen the last two, and then some. Just taking things one week at a time for now though. -
It's Lamar. The sports media bobbleheads drool on themselves over Lamar. But, his team is currently the #1 seed. They also have some huge matchups the next couple of weeks @ SF and then at home against Miami. If Lamar shines in two W's then he could be getting his second trophy. If the Bills were 11-3, and currently #1 in the AFC, Allen would be the clear frontrunner. It's just the nature of the beast.

OT - Isiah Mckenzie and Tony Brown suspended for remainder of the season
H2o replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
McKenzie was good enough to carve out a little niche and get rich off of football. Still, in comparison to the rest of the guys in the NFL, he's nothing special. This might speed him up into the restaurant business full time now, even in the fall. -
Who’s the best QB prospect in the ‘24 draft class?
H2o replied to bills6969's topic in College Football
Shedeur is returning to Colorado. Gabriel transferred to Oregon. I think Ewers is going back to Texas. I think McCarthy returns to Michigan. I don't see this as a loaded class at all. I think it is an overhyped class if anything. Hartman screams backup. Maye doesn't impress me at all. I think Caleb Williams folds under pressure, but I still expect him to go #1 overall. Penix is solid, but his arm strength doesn't seem all that impressive to me. Is Jayden Daniels the next Lamar Jackson or the next Justin Fields? He could be a scary cover for opposing defenses. I like Bo Nix as a passer the most of the bunch. He's shown a ton of improvement over his 5 seasons. NE sitting at #2 right now is going to get one of them. Let's just hope they take the wrong one again. -
